Awesome. Check your private message inboxes some time this weekend for the round one questions. Clément, please also send a number between 1-52 to cut the cards.

Thank you all for your responses. We will begin the game later today or tomorrow.
Couple of things to keep in mind:
Unlike the actual show:
*Aces in this version can count as 1 or 11. If a player freezes, any contestant who gets a better score will automatically win the round.

Announcer: This is our returning champion, Clément Couvreur from Angers, France. He has already won in cash $4200. He is back again to try to win this Volvo XC70 worth over $40,000 (NBC audience woos and whistles) or one of these other great cars onnnnnnnnnnnnnn Top Card! (applause) Here is our host of Top Card, Joe Emerson!!
Me: Good day to all of you! Welcome to another exciting installment of Top Card. Yesterday was a thrill up until the end. Clément blitzed through the first round and the championship round with blackjacks. We thought he would grand slam the bonus round until the Joker popped up on the board. Clément, have you recovered from the last show, and are you ready to try it again?

(applause)
Me: Much good luck to you, but there are two people who want to stop you from achieving that goal. Here to introduce them is the certified, bona fide Leslie Banks. (applause) Hello Leslie, how are you today?
Leslie: I'm still reeling after yesterday's show. I was so heartbroken when Clément lost the bonus round.
Me: Oh yes, we all were. He has his second chance today, but who will be competing with him?
Leslie: This contestant hails from Virginia and has a collection of more than 3000 game show episodes, meet gameboy2000. (applause)
Me: If this contestant looks familiar, it's because we brought him back due to a mistake we made on the last show. We strive to be as fair as possible on this show. It's great to have you back, gameboy2000. Would you tell us a little more about yourself?

I wish you well on hosting Card Sharks, and I hope it is a continued success. (applause) Leslie, who is our last opponent? Our last opponent is from Eastern Lower Alabama. He enjoys game shows, music, classic TV, and girls (girls whistle). (Leslie chuckling) Meet James Greek. (applause) Me: Welcome, James. James goes way back to when I hosted Family Feud back in the 90s. (clenching teeth) Don't hold it against me. Well, James, what genres of music pique your interest?

Cool. I happen to fancy the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Much good luck to you all today. (applause) Gentlemen, the aim is to get as close to 21 as possible without busting. You build your hand by answering questions correctly and deciding to keep the card on the board or taking the top card. The winner of this round earns $1000 and advances to the championship round. Get a 21 on the nose, and the bonus augments to $2100! (cheers and applause) Remember, that aces can count as 1 or 11. Clément, as the champion, you have the first selection from these categories:

What continent has the fewest species of land animals? (BC:76) James: Pass GB2K: 45 Clément: 64 (DING!)
Me: Clément, to answer. Clément: Antarctica. (applause) Me: Right you are. Normally, I have a pun to use to segway into the card, but my brain is a little cold natured this morning. (Groans from the audience) Anyway, let's take a look. (Clément's well wishers applaud.) I can sense your opponents groaning now. I still have to ask; do you wish to keep it or take the top card?

The jack goes away...and here's a question about cartoons. Who was the voice of Bugs Bunny? (BC: 72) James: 21 gameboy2000: 34 (DING!) Clément: 32Me: This one goes to gameboy2000. gameboy2000: Mel Blanc. (applause) Me: That's what's up, doc! You're right, and I'm hoppy your mind didn't go blank. (Groans from audience) Anyway, take a look at the board. (Cheers) Another Jack! Do you want to keep it or exchange it for the top card? (Audience yells suggestions)

Hands on plungers; this is a doggone question: which breed of dog is noted for its spotted coat? (BC:92) James: pass gameboy2000: 23 Clément: 42 (DING!) Me: Clément rings in. Clément: Dalmatian. (applause) Me: Yes, that's right. If we find an ace, you'll get a $2100 bonus. Who's a good card? Who's a good card? It's a four. Keep it, or take the top card? What's your pleasure? (Audience voices their thoughts)

Me: Clément is looking for an ace, Leslie. Do you have one? Leslie: No, but I have a 10. (Applause) Me: That brings you to 20. You are not obligated to follow through with choosing sports since you can freeze. Would you like to freeze at 20?

What will be in your forecast...sunshine or stormy weather? We shall see. What weather phenomenon refers to a warming of the Pacific Equatorial waters and a slackening of the Trade Winds over those waters? James: Pass gameboy2000: (BC irrelevant) DING! Clément: FreezeMe: Go ahead, gameboy2000. gameboy2000: El Nino (applause) Me: Yes, that's the term! Right now, the only thing that will win it is an ace for you. Let's see it! (Scattered Groans) It's another 4. Take the 4 or the top card? What's your pleasure?

Me: He's exchanging the card for the top card, Leslie. If it's an ace, you win! Leslie: The game continues. Me: Slowly but surely, it's coming along. You currently have 13. Gameboy2000, you still have control. Five categories remain; which one is next?
