I see, well I bet those are interesting. I wish you good luck as well Noah. Before we proceed, let's review a few things. Let's put the current scoreboard and game board up on your screen to look at... (ding)
So, hopefully the board is self-explanatory, but let's go through it a bit. Anthony is represented by the number 1 and Noah by the number 2. At the moment, you are both on the bottom level of the board with the ultimate goal being to elevate yourself to Level 5 and be the first person the roll the correct number on the dice to land on that Win! space in the top-right corner. Whichever one of you does that first is our winner today!
To rise through the levels, you must first land on the black Elevator Pass spaces and have enough winnings to purchase the pass. For this level, a pass costs $10,000, but as you can see, the cost of a pass increases with the levels. Once the pass is purchased, you then need to land at the elevator space in order to rise one level. Passes can only be used once -- each elevator requires a new pass. Along the way, you play games going back and forth along your current level. For this first level, payouts for certain games is $1,000 -- this amount rises significantly as you elevate through the levels -- all the way up to $25,000 payouts on the top level.
There are a few special spaces on the board. The "taxes due" space will take away a percentage of your winnings. Each time that happens, our Jackpot space on Level 5 will increase by that amount. The "tax refund" space on Level 5 will refund you 25% of the taxes you have paid along the way, which is why we have the "taxes paid" column on the scoreboard. The two "Your Choice" spaces will allow you to choose the type of game you want to play. The "double green dollar sign" spaces will double your current winnings each time you land on them, so those spaces could be lucrative. All the other spaces identify the type of game you will play -- I'll explain each of them as you land on them. For this row, if you land back on the Start space or the elevator without a pass, that simply ends your turn.
When rolling the dice, you lose your turn and stay where you are if you roll a number higher than is possible to take. For example, if Anthony rolls a 9 on his next roll, he loses his turn because he cannot move 9 spaces in either direction. Also, if you roll doubles, you get another turn which continues as long as you continue to roll doubles. If you roll a small enough number, you can choose which direction to move. For example, if Noah rolls snake eyes (2) on his next roll, he could move left to play Blackjack in the casino or move right to solve a word puzzle for $1,000.
There is one exception to the dice rolling rule and that is on the top level. If you roll the number you need to win, but want to try to win more money on that level, you can choose to stay put and pass to your opponent, allowing you to stick around a little longer to try to win more, hoping that your opponent doesn't then beat you to that Win space.
Those are the basic rules of our game gentlemen. I'll explain some of the individual game rules once they come up. Do either of you have any questions before we proceed?

Terrific -- once again, best of luck to you both, please head back to your podiums and let's play Elevation! (audience applauds) * Anthony and Noah shake hands and return to their respective podiums * Anthony, let's try again to get you some winnings on the board. Random.org, roll the dice for Anthony, please. (ding)
It totals 5, so you can try your luck again in the casino at the roulette table or you can hang out at the elevator and, well, that would be that for now. Shall we try the casino again, Anthony?

Again, due to the glitch that happened playing Blackjack, I've restored your $5,000 worth of chips. You can bet it all on one number or section, you can spread it out similar to how your AI opponents have done -- however you want to do it. Again, minimum bet is $100, maximum is $5,000.
Place your bets please, Anthony.

A hundred on even it is! Let's see how you do!
Well done, so you now have $100 profit you can withdraw for an elevator pass when you need it -- best to leave it in the casino for now so it isn't vulnerable to you landing on the taxes due space.
Noah, you're already more than halfway to being able to purchase a pass -- let's see if you get there on this turn. Let's roll the dice for Noah, please.
(ding)
Nope, not this time Noah -- that puts you back to the Start space.
(ding)
Anthony, a chance for you to catch up here, perhaps. Let's roll your dice and see what comes up!
(ding)
It's a 4, so you're going to play our survey question game called "Fast Money" where you'll earn $50 per point, meaning if you do well on this, you could catch up to or perhaps even surpass Noah's total! Good luck Anthony, here we go...
1) Name a word that begins with the letter "Z"

Ok, let's see how you did. We asked for a word starting with "Z" and you said zebra. The survey said... (ding)
...the number one answer! Great start, Anthony -- you just picked up more than $3,500 with that answer alone!
Next, we asked you to name an animal with big teeth -- you said a dog -- survey said...
(ding)
...six. Next, a job requiring multi-languages -- you said teacher -- the survey said...
(ding)
...eight. Okay, we're up to 85 points already which is more than $4,000 so far! Next, we wanted someone who goes by one name -- you said Prince -- the survey said...
(ding)
...the girl from Stranger Things, uh, I mean, eleven. Finally, we wanted something or someone you toast -- you said bread -- survey said...
(ding)
...eighty-one!!! Another number one answer!! That's a score of 177 and at $50 a point, is a total of $8,850!
(ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding) (audience cheers and applauds)
Excellent answers, Anthony! Well done -- you're in the lead now by more than $3,500!
Noah, your turn to catch up now! Let's roll your dice and see what comes up!
(ding)
It's a ten and it's doubles, so you will roll again in a moment. This is the first of our "Solve It!" games -- this is where our payouts come in -- you'll get $1,000 if you can solve this puzzle. On this level, we reveal 8 letters in the puzzle, but as you rise in levels, the chances of solving them get more difficult as the payouts increase, but number of letters revealed decreases.
So Noah, for $1,000, can you solve this puzzle?

Correct for $1,000!
(ding)
You had doubles on that last roll, so Random.org, let's roll again for Noah, please.
(ding)
It's a 4 and that puts you into the casino for the first time.
So, it's the same deal for you as it was for Anthony -- the casino has loaned you $5,000 in chips which you will have to pay back before winning Elevation. You're about to play a hand of Blackjack where you may bet as little as $100 and as much as $5,000 but again, bet it all and lose and you are barred from the casino until you pay it back.
Let's play some blackjack, Noah. Place your bet, please.

Oh bummer, the dealer has 20 as well, so it's a push -- well, at least you didn't lose any money on that.
Anthony, here comes your next roll...
...and it's a six, so that puts you in the elevator lobby since you can't move right six spaces, but with no pass, you cannot use the elevator, which ends your turn.
Noah, back to you...here comes your next roll...
...and you get a five, so you can stay in the casino and head to the roulette table or join Anthony in the lobby. What would you like, Noah?

Alright, well due to your blackjack push, you're still at $5,000 worth of chips. You can make as many bets as you like -- all on one number, multiple sections, however you want to do it -- only restriction is the bets must be at least $100.
Place your bets please, Noah.

Good enough, good luck and let's see how it goes for you...
No, it was 30 red, so I'm afraid that costs you the $250 in chips, Noah.
(ding)
There is now a C next to your number to remind you that you owe the casino some money. This will not prevent you from elevating mind you, it only prevents you from having a valid win at the top level. You can pay it off by winning bets in future casino games or you can transfer the amount owed from your winnings to the casino to pay them off. Our casino doesn't charge any interest for debts, so you can do this on any turn in the future.
Anthony, let's get you out of the lobby and into your next game, shall we? Let's roll the dice for Anthony, please.
(ding)
You got a nine this time, which puts you in a spot to solve your first word puzzle for $1,000.
(ding)
Here it is, Anthony...
