Shadoe: You have seen this game throughout various themes around the world...
...but not like this! For the first time ever, it's time for the game show where one card can literally mean the difference between winning a fortune or losing it all, it's...Audience: UNO!(Cheers and Applause)Shadoe: And now, please welcome your "one" and only host...Dayo Kayode!(DK appears behind the game screen) (Louder Cheers and Applause)DK: Thank you! First of all, let's give it up to the one and only Shadoe Stevens! Shadoe: Thank you, Dayo. Still here and kicking!DK: Indeed. Yes, how's it going everybody? I hope you're in for some fun because you've joined us here on UNO, the greatest card game in the whole wide world! If you don't know UNO, let me quickly fill you in. This is a game where you have to discard all of your cards before your opponents do to score the win. Well, tonight, we're going to do just that, but this time, our players will be playing for cash and prizes worth over $1.3 Million! (Cheers and Applause)And of course, I can't do it alone. I've got some people to back me up in case things get of hand...it's the Smosh Games crew, both current and former! It's the original Smosh crew: Ian, Anthony, Mari, Sohinki, Jovenshire and Lasercorn! (Wild Cheers and Applause)They are all going to be our referees for tonight's big game. Now, are you guys ready to go? Well, I sure am. Let's bring out the players, let's do it! (Players run out from backstage and to center stage to meet me and the original Smosh crew) (Cheers and Applause)Let's welcome tonight's players: James Greek, Marc Enyedy, and Frank Sartori! (Cheers and Applause)These 3 players are going to embark on a journey like no other, and in the end, only one of them will come out on top and earn the right to go to the Power Pyramid for a chance to win the Grand Progressive Jackpot! Who's it going to be? Well, why don't you come back to find out?

(Cheers and Applause)DK: And welcome back! Now, we're ready to play the game! JAMES <-----> MARC <-----> FRANK
0000 <-----> 0000 <-----> 0000
$0000 <-----> $0000 <-----> $0000 James, Marc and Frank are in their respective podiums with referees Ian, Anthony and Mari on their side keeping everything in check. Now, we're going to talk to you guys in a little bit, but first, let's play the game! And whenever there's a game, there's some rules! And the rules goes a little bit of something like this: The main object of the game is to score points, as well as cash and prizes, by eliminating all of the cards in your hand first before your opponents do. Before each round begins, our players will have their cards dealt at random from the "Lab Monkeys" at Random.org. They know their cards, but they don't know their opponents' cards, and a good way to win the round is to study your foes, as well as studying the cards. In fact, speaking of cards, each player has 7 cards to begin with at the start of each round, like the normal game. BUT! Here's something exclusive that we, and only we people do here on Uno: The Game Show, and that's by giving you players a Head Start! (Audience oohs) In other words, before you even begin playing the cards, you have a chance to discard all BUT ONE of your cards from your hand. And the way we do that is by answering questions. I have 3 questions in my hand, players, and after giving out the Multiple-Choices and then the question, you will then buzz-in. You will have 24 hours to answer the question the moment you buzz-in, and we must accept your first response. If you're right, you'll get to discard 2 cards from your hand and our referees will put them at the bottom of the deck. But be careful, because if you're wrong, you get to add 1 more card to your hand, and the other players can buzz in and steal. So, you can start the round with as little as 1 card, or as much as 10. With all that said players, put your hands on your buzzers, good luck to all 3 of you and let's see the first set of answers. "Good Morning, Vietnam" "Talk Radio" "Sleepless in Seattle"Tell me which film was the story of Radio D.J. Adrian Cronauer.James: 4 Marc: 9 Frank: 45 Magic #: 1 (Buzz-In!)And James buzzes in! What's your answer?

JAMES: 5 MARC: 5 FRANK: 7Here's the last question for the chance to discard 2 cards from your hand. First the answers... An Indian Casino A Canadian Bank Santa's WorkshopAnd here's the question. An Indian Casino

Post by dad90 on Mar 14, 2018 19:02:35 GMT -5
An Indian Casino is the one we're looking for! An Indian Casino A Canadian Bank Santa's Workshop(Audience Applause)James, pick two more cards to discard and put them into the bottom of the deck. CARDS TOTAL:
JAMES: 3 MARC: 5 FRANK: 7So after the Head-Start portion of the round, James has 3 cards, Marc has 5 cards and Frank still has 7 cards. Remember those numbers, players. Now, we're about to deal out the cards, but first, let's explain on how this main portion of the round works. The traditional rules of UNO is applied, which a card can be covered with the same number or the same color, or a Wild card. If you don't have a match or if you don't want to play, you must draw a card. From there, you can play that card or pass (if you can't or if you want to, that's up to you). If you could play and chose to draw a card though, you can't play another card than the one you've just drawn. Now, in addition to all of the numbered cards in the deck, there are 32 Action cards in the deck: 8 Skip, 8 Reverse, 8 Draw +2, 4 Wild and 4 Wild Draw +4 cards. In each round, only 14 of them will be used: 4 Skip, 4 Reverse, 4 Draw +2, 1 Wild and 1 Wild Draw +4 to make things fair. But that will change when the 3rd round and the Head-to-Head showdown occurs. We'll talk about that later. That's a total of 90 cards to deal with, and since that we have 15 of them out in the open... JAMES <-----> MARC <-----> FRANK
0000 <-----> 0000 <-----> 0000
$0000 <-----> $0000 <-----> $0000 DRAW PILE: 75 There are 75 cards left in the Draw pile, and that is actually important, because if the Draw pile is empty, or if time runs out, or if any one of you plays the last card (after doing the Golden Rule), then the round ends, and the scoring system will come into play. SCORING:0-9 = 0-9 Points Skip = 20 Points Reverse = 20 Points Draw +2 = 20 Points Wild / Wild Draw Four = 50 Points PRIZES:0-9 = $0-$900 Cash Skip, Reverse, Draw +2 = PRIZE Wild / Wild Draw Four = LUXURY PRIZE That will come into effect to the one lucky player who finishes the hand in that round. However, if, in any round, we're out of time or the Draw pile is empty, the round ends, then the player with the least amount of cards is the winner. He will be awarded with 250 points, but total will be deducted from each of the opponents' hands, and the winner wins remaining points and 100 times that total in cash. Now, we need to find out who gets to start this round, and in order to do that, I have one more question here, and this is for control of the round. Good luck to you players, and here's the set of answers... "The People's Court" "Night Court" "Dragnet"And here's the question. Tell me which show featured Judge Harry Stone.James: 34 Marc: 83 Frank: 30 Magic #: 87 (Buzz-In!)And Marc buzzes in! What's your answer?

Night Court.

Post by dad90 on Mar 15, 2018 7:51:42 GMT -5
Night Court is the correct answer! "The People's Court" "Night Court" "Dragnet"(Audience Applause)JAMES -----> MARC -----> FRANK
0000 -----> 0000 -----> 0000
$0000 -----> $0000 -----> $0000 DRAW PILE: 75 LAST CARD PLAYED: [-----] Now Marc, you've won the right to have control. Now, here's another question. Would you like to go first, or would you like Frank to go first, because the first step is to take the first card out of the Draw pile, and that will determine which card to start off with. Now... [RED]
[YELLOW]
[BLUE]
[GREEN] In order for you to play a card properly, first you must say the rank of the card, and of course, color that card as shown up above here. [WILD] [WILD +4] Wild cards are shown like this, and then you can determine the color of which to play next. BUT! Be careful when you play the Wild Draw Four card, my friends. That card cannot be used properly if you can play colored card instead, because if you choose to do so, your victim can check your hand and even expose it all to everyone out there, and to you folks at home as well, to see if you had the right to use it. If you were right to do so, then the victim must draw SIX cards instead of four. (audience oohs) But if you did it wrong, YOU have to take four cards instead of your opponent. (louder oohs) And of course, players, we have the Golden Rule: Whenever you have one card left in your hand at any time, you MUST say... Audience: UNO!Because if your opponent does that before you, you MUST draw two cards from the pile. So Marc, are you going to take the first card from the Draw Pile to play first, or would you like Frank to do that?

And the card that Marc will pick from the Draw Pile first is... [7]a Green 7. DRAW PILE: 74 LAST CARD PLAYED: [7] OK Marc, now choose a card from your hand to play, and if you can't do that, you must draw a card. Also, to all players, if you don't respond with 24 hours, you'll automatically draw a card as well.
