Who would like to challenge Matt Ringgenberg in episode 2 of Dice Words?
An amendment to the main game rules:
When a player receives control of the dice, they do not have to roll the dice. They can attempt to solve the word. If the player who is in control of the dice is in a bonus letter situation, the bonus letter will be picked by the player and revealed first, then the player will have the option to roll the dice to reveal more letters, or solve the word.
Odds Table:
When 2 letters are exposed - 34 Rolls are still good and 2 are bad (since doubles reveals a letter of the roller's choosing) When 3 letters are exposed - 30 Rolls are still good and 6 are bad When 4 letters are exposed - 24 Rolls are still good and 12 are bad
This information should be considered when a player has control of the dice.
Bonus Game Amendments - Actually this was the rule I made but forgot it, much to my embarrassment...
After 2 rolls of the dice, a player can try to solve a word to earn an extra roll of the BIG MONEY dice. If they are wrong, they are allowed to take 1 more roll of the dice, a "bonus" roll, however, only 2 bonus rolls total are allowed during the bonus game, and only 1 bonus roll can be taken per word.
One other Bonus Game amendment - The champion gets 2 rolls of the BIG MONEY dice for free, and can earn up to 3 more by correctly solving 3 more Dice Words.
Let me know if there are any questions, and the first one to sign up will challenge Matt Ringgenberg.
Thank you, Bill

And so too am I. It is splendid to have you both here and good luck! The object of the game is to roll a standard pair of dice and uncover letters of a mystery word. All words contain 6 letters, since all dice have 6 numbers. The first player to correctly identify the mystery word will win money. We play four words per round. The first word is worth $100, the second $150, the third $200 and the last word is worth $300. Then, the player who solves the word correct has the option to roll the money dice. On one die we have $50 on one side, $75 on another, $100 on another, $125 on another, +1 Roll on the 5th side, and +1 Roll Double on the sixth side. The Double simply will double the value that appears on the other die, and that die you want to be wary of. It too has $50, $75, $100, two $125 sides, but...one side of that other die has the Bandit (bandit laugh) Any time you roll him, you'll lose all of the money you've scored up to that point in the round, and that's important because only the player with the MOST money after four rounds are played gets to keep it all. For this reason, after you solve a word, you'll have to decide if you want to roll the money dice yourself or pass them to your opponent to roll instead. The first player to win 2 rounds wins the game and goes on to play Bonus Dice Words which can be worth up to $25,000! (applause) I'll apprise you of further rules as we get into the game itself. Meantime, the red player, the champion, always begins game #1. Matt, that would be you. You have the option to roll first, or pass and have Cle'ment roll first instead. What do you want to do?

A 3 and a 4, so we'll see what those 2 letters are... A pair of T's. Matt, you may try to solve the word, and if you are right, not only would it be a miracle, but you'd score $100 and control over the money dice. If you try to solve it and are wrong however, your opponent will then get a bonus letter of his choosing. That's the risk in trying to solve the word too early, as you know from having already played one game. Do you wish to try to solve it, or pass the dice to your opponent?

And Cle'ment, since Matt did not make an incorrect guess or a bad roll, you must now roll the dice. Only 2 bad rolls at this point... A 1 and a 6! Nice roll, exposing TWO more letters for your benefit. Let's see what those letters are... You have a C and an E. Can you solve it, or do you wish to pass the dice back to Matt?

And your first roll of the money dice yields... $125 and roll again! (applause) Next roll of the money dice... Oh no! (Bandit laugh & audience moans) Well it had to happen sooner or later. We didn't see him at all during episode 1, but he made his debut here in episode #2. So after 1 word in Round 1, we have a pitcher's dual going on here, nothing to nothing. But more words and more dice rolls coming up. The conclusion of round 1, right after this folks! (applause)

We have a brand new Dice Word loaded in for our players to uncover and to solve. Ordinarily the player who is behind gets the first option with the dice, however, when it's a scoreless tie, the player who got the last word correct gets control of the dice first. Cle'ment, would you like to roll first and uncover the first 2 letters of this next Dice Word, or would you like for Matt to do the honors?

That may work to your advantage, let's find out. Matt rolls... A 1 and a 4. That first position can be quite pivotal...let's reveal the letter's for Matt... A "G" and an "H". Do you want to try to venture a guess, or defer the dice to Cle'ment?

And Cle'ment since Matt did not make an incorrect guess nor a bad roll, you are required to roll at this time, but only 2 rolls will harm you... A 4 and a 5. The 4th spot is already exposed, but you will get one new letter at position number 5... Care to try to solve it, or do you wish to pass the dice?

Might as well solve it. GATHER?

For $150 and control the money dice....is it "GATHER"? (buzzer) No, but that was a superb guess! Control goes back to you Matt, and now you get a Bonus Letter as a result of Cle'ment's very good, but incorrect solve... Which position would you like revealed Matt, 2, 3 or 6?

That gets you an "O". Do you want to try to solve the word, or would you prefer to roll the dice to try to uncover one more letter Matt?
