Post by dougmorrisontheair on Apr 23, 2017 8:06:23 GMT -5
For the win -- lower -- than -- a jack... (dings; game win cue; audience applauds) ...and it's an 8. Greg, congratulations. $500 and the game for you. We are tied at one game each -- and that means we play our third and final game. In the tie-breaker game, we play only one question -- and the Bella twins are setting up our board for this tie-break. Nikki, a.k.a. the future Mrs. John Cena... ...moves the end zone leftward a couple of spaces -- while Brie deals out only three cards to each player. Winner of this game wins the match -- and the chance at the big money cards. Matt, all important question is yours first. We asked 100 women -- and we asked them, "Do you smoke cigarettes?" How many of those 100 women said they do smoke cigarettes?

I've seen a few of women smoke. It might be common. So it's going to be a middle number. 47

While I know smoking is a terrible and addictive habit that can kill you, some people might have started young and not developed enough will to quit. Higher.

(ding) (ding) Memo to my next Ms. -- who may evolve into my next Mrs. -- smoking is a deal-breaker. I don't want to kiss an ashtray. (audience laughs and applauds) With that, let's see who gets control in the tie-breaker. Actual number of women in our survey who smoke is... (dings; audience applauds) ...36. Not higher -- it's lower. Okay, Matt, really important decision is yours to make in the tie-breaker. First, we look at your base card. (scattered cheers) It's a 3. You *may* change it -- but I doubt you would. Greg's base card is... (scattered cheers) ...wow -- a deuce; he can't change it. Matt, here's the situation. You may play your cards -- or force Greg to play his. The contestant nominated to play his cards must make two correct predictions of higher or lower. The player who makes it across successfully wins the match and goes to the Money Cards. Remember, there's no freezing in this tie-breaker. Also -- *one* stumble -- and the opposition automatically wins the championship. Matt -- your crown's on the line. Will you play your cards -- or pass to Greg? (audience shouts suggestions) (Matt, if you decide to play, please let me know if you're keeping the 3; if you are keeping your 3, please go ahead and call higher/lower.)

If this last card is higher than a 6, Matt, you're still the champ. Otherwise, Greg plays for the big money. Higher than a 6...? (dings; match win cue plays; audience cheers; more of theme plays) It's a king! (Matt celebrates; players shake hands) Matt, congratulations. We'll get set for the Money Cards in a bit. Greg, I hope you had fun. From us, you take home $500 and some fine gifts. And as the contestant search winner, when CBS North Carolina welcomes you home, the folks at the station have some great prizes for you there. Nice hand for Greg. (burst of cheers as Greg leaves) Matt, please join me here. Matt's going for loads of cash in the Money Cards -- after this.

(audience cheers) We're back on Card Sharks. I'm Doug Morris filling in for Tony Lane. Tony will be back with you on the next show -- but not before we give Matt a chance to win big at the money cards. Matt, did you cut your cards?

Then let's open up that board and play those money cards. [MAIN OPENING THEME, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Last time you played these money cards, you took us for $38,800. Let's see if you can do better than that. The Bella Twins are dealing out your cards. We spot you $1000 on the bottom row -- and another $2500 when you reach the middle row. In the money cards, you must risk at least $100 that the next card in line is higher or lower. But when you reach the top row, the big bet, you must bet at least half your cash. Tie cards in the money cards mean a push. And for winning the match, Brie has in her hot little hands your joker of the day. More jokers are in the deck. Anytime another joker pops up in the endgame, you'll get another chance at winning a car. Matt, we're all on your side -- and we want you to clean house. Let's start him off with $1000, please. (ding)And one more thing. Nikki has three spare cards off to the side. If you run into what you think is a bad card, you may change one card per line. With $1000, you're starting off with... ...a 6. Well -- want to use your only change on the row now -- or bet on the next card?

(Nikki hands Doug card #2) Doug: Already making like the Little River Band. Matt says it's time for a cool change. Nikki: The Little River what? Doug: I'm showing my age. (scattered laughter from the crowd) The 6 is now... (audience cheers) Doug: ...an ace!!!!

$1800 higher than a 3. (ding; audience applause) It's an 8. Good news, you're up to 3800. Bad news, you've already changed the one card you're allowed to change on this row. So you'll have to play off of the snowman.

Going minimum. $100 -- lower than an 8. (dings; audience applause) Ah! A joker. Brie, please take charge of this wild card. Thank you. Matt, this means at least two tries at a bonus. We now take the next card from the top of the deck... ...place it where the joker was -- and have you rebet.
