On our last show, James claimed his third victory and a NEW CAR! Per my rules, he must "retire" for the next two games.
That means that we will need THREE new contestants. Anyone who did NOT play in Episode 3 is eligible. John and Matt, please wait this game out. James, please wait out this game and the next before trying again.
So, who's ready to try the fastest, most interesting quiz on TV?

Ready in 3, 2, 1...go!
(1986 "SS" Theme plays)
BRIAN CUMMINGS: Here's a question for you...
Can you buy the light bulbs used in traffic signals and use them in your home?
BRIAN: You'll find out the answer to this and many more fascinating questions as these three players (shot of Kevin, Kourtney, and Lenny at the contestants' desk) battle for the right to win one of these five (shot of the cars on display) beautiful Toyota cars! All in a...
(Lightning crash)
SPLIT SECOND!
BRIAN: And here's our host, JON DARRALL! (Applause as I enter through the giant door separating the main game and bonus areas)
ME: Thanks, Brian Cummings! Thank you, audience and viewers at home, for joining us for another edition of the most exciting and challenging quiz show on TV - Split Second. Here's the answer to the opener! Can we buy traffic signal light bulbs and use them in our homes? Well, the answer is YES, BUT YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO. Here's why: while traffic signal bulbs are designed to burn longer, they do so with much less efficiency. Of course, less efficiency means more cost, and in this day and age, no one wants to spend more on electric bills than they have to.
(I turn to the players)
ME: Although, if it became possible to have one of those flashing red lights, that would be gnarly, wouldn't it? (Laughter all around) On our last show, our three-time champ James became an undefeated champion when he won a new car and over $10,000 in cash. We've got three new players with us today, each hoping to duplicate that feat. Brian, tell us about them, please.
(Contestant intro cue plays as I walk to my podium)
BRIAN: Our first contestant is from Long Island, New York. Welcome KEVIN KOLSEN! Player number two is from Valdosta, Georgia. Please welcome KOURTNEY WILSON. And, our third player is from Washington, DC. Say hello to LENNY JACKSON! There they are, Jon, so let's play Split Second!
(Applause as the camera points to me at my podium)
ME: I extend that welcome to you, contestants. Here's how we play. As you know, each Split Second question comes in three parts, but I only need you to provide the answer to one part. Your buzzers are rigged to register the order in which you press them, but you cannot jump the gun. The amount of money you win is based on how many people correctly answer a question. In Round One, you'll earn $50 each if all three of you are right, $75 each if two of you are right, and $150 if you are the only one to answer correctly. After two rounds and the exciting Countdown Round, the one who emerges victorious will have a chance at a beautiful Toyota (Crowd applauds). They're ready, I'm ready, and I hope you're ready. Let's start with a SCIENCE question.
Just like on Earth, the surface of the Moon is covered with seas. Unlike the Earth's seas, the lunar seas have no water. I'll name three seas. Pick one and tell me if it's on EARTH or the MOON. Look at the screen.
A. Sea of Moscow B. Sea of Okhotsk C. Sea of Storms
(BONG! BONG! BONG!)
ORDER: Kourtney, Lenny, Kevin.
ME: Kourtney, you're first!
(Gentlemen, you don't need to wait for me to acknowledge an answer, so long as you go in order.)

ME: That's how we start the game! Three right answers, $50 each (Applause). Great job on that, guys. Let's try one on SPORTS.
Every year, millions around the world hit the slopes and take on some vicious conditions in skiing. How big of a hotdogger are you? I'll name three skiing terms. Pick one and define it. Look at the screen.
A. Slalom B. Mogul C. Carve
(BONG! BONG! BONG!)
ORDER: Kourtney, Kevin, Lenny.
ME: Kourtney?

Carve is a turning technique in skiing

ME: I'll accept that. Specifically, it's done by using the edge of your skis to cut into the snow. A MOGUL is a MOUND OF SNOW. Lenny and Kourtney score, taking them to $125 apiece and Kevin stays at $50. Let's try a question on ROCK AND ROLL.
Many of rock's legendary icons cut their teeth as members of a band before going solo. I'll name three pairs of musical groups. Pick a pair and tell me the ONE rocker who sang in both bands before going solo. Look at the screen.
A. The Jeff Beck Group & Faces B. Blind Faith & The Spencer Davis Group C. Blind Faith & The Yardbirds
(BONG! BONG! BONG!)
ORDER: Kourtney, Lenny, Kevin.
ME: Kourtney?

ME: Right! Very good! $75 each for Kevin and Lenny, taking Lenny to the lead with $200, Kevin to $125, and Kourtney staying at $125 (applause). By the way, FACES AND JEFF BECK GROUP was ROD STEWART. Here's one on POLITICS.
The 2016 Presidential election was bound to be historically significant regardless of the outcome. One reason why was the campaign of Hillary Rodham Clinton. I'll name three of the states Hillary won in 2016. Pick one and tell me, YES or NO, did her husband Bill ALSO win that state when he ran for re-election in 1996? Look at the screen.
A. New York B. Washington C. Virginia
(BONG! BONG! BONG!)
ORDER: Kevin, Lenny, Kourtney.
ME: Kevin, go for it!
