No, I'm sorry. And we can't give half credit. James Madison, our 4th President was the father of the Constitution.
Speaking of 4's, Nathan, do you want to keep that for yourself or give it away?

I'll have my opponent take the 4.

Even though the 2016 holiday season is behind us, Nathan is still in the spirit, as it is better to give than to receive. Next toss up question. The Kennedy clan is one of the most famous political families in American history. The matriarch of the family was Rose. Was the first name of JFK's father Robert, John or Joseph? (Buzz codes higher than 0 but lower than 101 are due no later than 3:15pm EST on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017).

Robert?

Post by billmcdee on Jan 11, 2017 16:24:02 GMT -5
Actually it was Joseph. The eldest Kennedy son was named Joseph, Jr. in fact. Joe Senior had aspirations for his son to become President one day, but was killed in action in 1944 during World War II.
Nathan, the next card is yours. You may keep it or give it away to Matt, who has 4 currently. Nathan you have nothing thus far.
What would you like to do, keep it or pass it?

And what card will he take Manuela? Yes indeed, he will take that quite gladly I'm sure! That's a big 10 4 good buddy! Ten to four is the current score. Next question... True or False? The water in Utah's Great Salt Lake is even saltier than the water of Earth's oceans.

No, it's actually true!
Matt, control of the next card belongs to you. Nathan has a 10 and a game in hand already, you have a 4 showing. Do you want to take the next card or give it away Matt?

I'll Freeze!!!

Post by billmcdee on Jan 16, 2017 15:24:09 GMT -5
I had a feeling you'd freeze on that 20 Matt! Well Nathan, you hit 21 the first time around. Do it here now and you'll win the match! What's his next card please, Manuela? (Gasps in the audience) Oh my, a big 8. You need a 3, and nothing higher to take the match. Manuela? picosong.com/fTwB/TOO MUCH! And we have a tie match! picosong.com/3zeF/And Matt, that of course means you win $1,000 as we pay $50 per point, plus the eyewear, giving you a current grand total, and is it ever grand... Eighty-three thousand, seven-hundred forty dollars in cash and prizes! (Loud cheering & applause)... Now onto our rubber game of the match, a new way of playing it called "SUDDEN DEATH!". If either player hits 21 right on the nose, they will win the match and a bonus of... (CLANG) Five-thousand five-hundred dollars in cash. Otherwise, the player with the high score will receive $50 per point, and the right to go to the Gambit Board to match up a really nice grand prize, plus play our new and exciting Beat the House bonus game for thousands more in cash as well! Matt, since you forced the tie-breaker Sudden Death game, you have the option of being dealt the first hand or the second one. If you go first and get 21 in any combination, you will automatically win another match. If you go first and go over 21, Nathan will become the champ and win another $500. If you go first and get to 12 or higher, you'll have the option to freeze, and then Nathan would be dealt cards and have to beat your score in order to win. Matt, do you want to be dealt the first hand, or have it be dealt to Nathan?

Very well Nathan. (applause in the audience). They seem to think taking another card is the right play. Let's see if they were right... Manuela? A four! Whew! Didn't go over. And Nathan declared he would freeze at 17 to 20 so Manuela will freeze your board now. Matt, to retain your crown, you'll need 18 or better. 17 isn't good enough as there are no ties. First card for Matt... A six, not the best start. Let's see that next card Manuela... (Audience reacts with a "Woah!" Now all you need is a ten or better to take the match. This next card could determine both of your fates. Manuela? It's an ACE! Matt did it again!!!! picosong.com/3zeF/My goodness that Sudden Death tie-breaking game proved even more exciting than we had anticipated I believe! Matt, another $950 in cash for you and in a moment, bringing your total winnings now up to an astounding... Eighty-four thousand, six-hundred ninety dollars in cash and prizes! In a moment Matt, a trip to the Gambit Board to win two more valuable prizes to add to your earnings. Nathan, you were a SUPERB contestant to be sure. You picked up the shuffleboard game along with $8,900 in cash, you did quite alright for having taken just 1 game of this match, $9,475 in cash and prizes! A nice hand for Nathan Diniz everybody! (Cheering & applause) A very fine challenger indeed, and it took a very fine champion to defeat him. Matt, a dramatic come from behind win for you. Now, it's time to play an all new version of the Gambit Board, here's Frank to tell you more... picosong.com/fT3K/On the Gambit Board, choose the right combination of numbers and you will win this brand new car… From Cadillac, the XT5 Crossover… The ultimate in luxury, comfort and class, the XT5 Crossover, furnished by Cadillac. $46,300! Okay, Bill! 8 pairs of prizes up there that match. The car and $20,000 in cash appear once each. There are two cards marked "NEXT PICK", if you select either of those, then the next pick is the prize you will automatically win. You'll keep selecting until you match two prizes on our board. One other card is a CA$H CARD SWAP card. If you select that, you will then carry that over into the Beat the House bonus game. Matt, look the board over and call out a pair of numbers to get us started please, and good luck!

(Very kind of you Nathan. You were fun to have once again, and look forward to having you back on a future episode.) Number 14 for Matt is... (ding) Oh wow! A NEXT PICK card right off the bat! Oh I do hope 15 is that car! (ding) No, but it is a lovely arcade video game for your home. The natural match for that prize is under... (ding) Number 7. We'll hear more about that prize in a moment, but first, let's reveal three parts of the puzzle. Oh, no wait, wrong game! Matt, select two more numbers please as you try to match your second prize.
