(Bumping for Sam, but announcing no strict deadlines will be enforced until Tuesday, December 27th as I know it's Christmas Eve Eve today, and I believe in the UK, Boxing Day is Dec 26th).

*groans* I don't know this word.... Place the K...

You are groaning because you know that K is the... (Stopper) last stopper... (Speedword sound effect) Steve, as before, you can either try to solve the word now, but if you're wrong, Sam will get to see two more letters and solve it. Otherwise Steve, if you don't know the word, you can request to play Speedword versus Sam. What do you want to do Steve?

Steve has requested speedword. He has already submitted to me his buzz code and number of added letters he will want to receive. Sam, once you do the same, we will begin to pop the letters in place one at a time at random. As before, unfortunately, the bonus squares are out of play during Speedword. Those letters have to be placed by our players, not randomly by the computer.

Okay we're set. We'll pop the letters in place one at a time. Remember, we cannot give you the last letter. And go! (ding) (ring in sound effect) Steve (who bid 1 letter), what is the answer?

(Word win cue) That's what we were going for, well done Steve! Another $200 for you. Score's now $300 to $150 in favor of the champion. Our next word is worth $250, so Sam, you need this to stay alive, otherwise Steve will win his second match. We're building off of the letter I this time... Six letters in the word and the clue is... (outline) They are constantly Tweeting. If you know it Sam, or think you might, you can try to solve it right now, otherwise select two of those eight numbered tiles if you please.

Let's see the top pink envelope... Hey the BIGGIE, $1,500 in cash for YOU Sam!!! (applause) $2,250 in total winnings so far today! Very well done! (Speedword sound effect)... Score is $400 for Sam and $300 for Steve. This fifth and final word, which is played in Speedword, is worth an additional $300... If Steve solves it first, he'll have $600, win game 2 and win the match. Sam, if you get this, you will go to $700, win game 2 and tie the match, and then we'll play a one word tie-breaker to determine today's champion... We're building off of the letter A, 5ive letters in this word and the clue is... (outline) It's been known to blow its top. Please submit to me via private message your buzz code (higher than 0 but lower than 101) Please also submit to me via private message the number of additional letters you believe you will need to solve this word. Bids can be 0, 1, 2 or 3, since I cannot give you the last letter.

He's done it again! (Game & Match win cue) (main theme plays) (Walking over to the player area) Sam, you made this the most exciting two crossword games thus far. Between words you won and that $1,500 pink square bonus, you're heading home with a decent chunk of change, $2,250, American! It's been a genuine pleasure to have you play Scrabble. Well Steve, you've proven once again why you are a fine champion. Sam was tough, but you were just a tad bit quicker on those speed words. Up to $32,300, going to try for more, first with the Bonus Sprint, after this!

(intro from commercial music) Frank Caliendo (as Charlie Tuna): And now back to Scrabble and the Bonus Sprint. Here's Bill McDee with today's winner. Here we are again with Steve, a two day champ. $32,300 already to your credit, doing splendidly. Sam proved to be a very tough opponent, didn't he Steve?
