Taking the 6 -- where we find... (ding) ...a W. Hmmm. Bill, think of all the six-letter personified words that end in W and come up with one guess. Good luck.

Again. Stop tape. If this were regular On A Roll, the buzzer would sound and we'd reduce the winnings. Please remember the Big 6 word in this case is not a proper noun. I'll give you another shot, Bill. (NOTE FROM DOUG: If this were a proper noun, the hint Wally would offer would be "Name Game".)

Next to last letter in the Big 6 word is ... (ding) ...an A. Bill, for $5000, who is this person? Remember -- no proper noun.

OUTLAW

Post by dougmorrisontheair on Nov 25, 2016 12:51:59 GMT -5
(scattered cheers) Has -- a nemesis from one of my old shows come back to haunt this bonus round? (scattered laughter from the crowd) Wally, for $2500, do you have an outlaw from that poker endgame in mind? (dings; SCSD win theme plays; audience cheers) Yes -- and yes -- it does rhyme with yee-haw. Just like the old days, the outlaws reduced your winnings from $45,000. But you did make another $2500 for ACS. Bill, you're up to $25,000 with a chance to win *much* more at our new Lucky 7 game. Wally, do the honors, please. (FF reveal sfx)Bill, as in the earlier part of the show, Wally will give you a certain number of chances to roll any sum of 7 on the dice. A roll of a 1 and a 6 is just as good as a 3 and a 4 -- or a 2 and a 5. But before Wally sets the timer, we need to find out how much is at stake. All you have to do is pick a letter in the word "lucky". Those lucky letters hide different amounts of cash from $32,000 -- all the way up to $250,000. (audience cheers) Remember -- the higher the stakes, the fewer amount of chances you'll have to roll any lucky 7. So -- please pick a letter in "lucky".

Since I'm playing for the American Cancer Society, let's go for C.

C had $100,000 earlier. Does have the quarter million? (dings; audience cheers)Nope. But $50,000 would be nice. (alarm goes off) That alarm -- not so much. (scattered laughter from the crowd) Wally's about to set the shutdown timer. So, to win $50,000 for ACS, Bill, you must roll a sum of 7 in... (ding) ...five rolls. Now, for each time you don't roll a 7, you win the sum's value in hundreds of dollars. Doubles are still bad -- and, truth be told, worse than before. If you throw doubles, you don't win any money on that roll -- *and* it's an automatic shutdown. Ready to try for the 50-large, Bill?

All right, Bill. Good luck. For $50,000. You -- are on a roll. (audience cheers as...) (Bill McDee rolls)Starting off with a 5 and a 4 for $900. Four rolls left. (Bill McDee rolls)Hey -- that's $1000. But you want a 7 for $50,000. Come onnnn -- 7. (Bill McDee rolls)(audience groans) Close! Sum of 8 for $800 more. Two more shots. (Bill McDee rolls)Five and a four. You're now up to $3600. Wally says you've reached your final roll. We're looking for any combination of 7. Roll 'em! (Bill McDee rolls)(burst of cheers) YOU DID IT!!! (dings; DSW sound effects play; win theme plays; audience cheers) $50,000 -- and you hang on to the money you accumulated on the other four rolls. That's a grand total of $78,600! (more cheers) Speech! Speech! Speech from our new celebrity champion.

Well I am very thankful and feel very lucky indeed to say the least.
Prior to the show, the ACS and I agreed that if I won more, that I would combine my total with my opponent, divide it by two, and contribute some to Billy's most worthwhile charity.
So I'd like to donate $29,850 to Billy's charity, giving each one of our charities $48,750.

Billy: Thank you very much. Well, actually, as we're playing for some awesome charities. I'd love to share winnings with your charity for the last round, too.

(audience cheers) Oh, how gracious of you, Bill. So, let's indeed transfer that money over. And yeah -- $48,750 in each player's bank for two fine charities. And -- I see our floor director and producer staring each other wondering "What do we do now?" (scattered laughter from the crowd) I tell ya what we're gonna do. First, we'll take a break -- and then let Bill *and* Billy play our newest audience game invention. Actually -- it's not *that* new. But we're giving it new life. Friends -- it'll all make sense -- after this. (theme plays; audience cheers)

(audience cheers) Welcome back to Celebrity On A Roll. We hope you like our new Lucky 7 and Big 6 games. They'll be part of our show starting Monday. Also starting Monday, it's Big Money Week where a quarter of a million dollars can be won on a lucky toss of the dice. (audience cheers) Now, just before the break, Bill McDee, our new celebrity champion, transferred just enough money into Billy Gardell's bank to have the money scores end up tied. Bill, just to denote you are our new celebrity champion... ...we decided to throw an extra $50 in your bank. So -- $48,800 at the very least for the American Cancer Society. Billy, $48,750 for Global Partnership for Education. And now -- we've finalized our amended plans for our final act of the show. Tiff, give Bill *and* Billy the good news, please. (match win theme from CS78 plays) Tiffany: Stars, you'll have a chance to split up to...Tiffany: ...$128,000 for your charities playing -- Dice Sharks!(audience cheers) Yes. You might remember Tony and Greg, our co-executive producers, hosted and played Dice Sharks on one of their projects. With their assistance and blessing, we're bringing Dice Sharks to On A Roll. Wally, please set up our board. (FF reveal sfx) And -- yes -- "good luck, fellas". We want you guys to win a lot of money for your organizations. Now, with this board, Wally's going to keep track of the rolls of our card cube that Paige and Korrina will take turns rolling. The numbers on the cube have been replaced with, respectively, depictions of an Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10 and 9. Paige, you'll roll the cube first. Please go ahead and give it a roll. (Paige rolls) (scattered cheers) Great roll -- an Ace. Now, Wally's going to put an Ace on the base card space. (ding) And he's also provided seed money of $4000. That could be $2000 for each of your charities. But it could be a *lot* more. Starting will Bill McDee, our celebrity champion, you'll take turns betting whether the next roll will be higher or lower than the previous roll. Minimum bet is $50 -- and you must always bet in $50 increments until you reach the big bet -- where you'll have to risk at least half the dollars on a final roll. Oh -- one more thing. Repeat rolls result in pushes. That means if Korinna rolls an Ace, you're not going to lose anything! (scattered laughter and applause) So -- Bill McDee, you're the first to bet. I must ask -- how much and will the next roll be higher or lower?

(scattered cheers) That's the way to play it all right. Korrina, please give it a roll. (Korrina rolls) (dings; audience applause) It's a Jack. That works. (ding) Alright -- $16,000. Big bet's on the horizon. But with a Jack, you're in middle ground, Billy Gardell. Remember, minimum bet for you is $50. Bill McDee, when we get to you, it'll be big bet time. Billy G., your call -- and your wager.

(scattered cheers) Thought ya might just bet a grand. Paige, they're hoping you can roll another ace. (Paige rolls) (dings; audience applause) It's a queen -- *just* high enough. (ding) Bill McDee, it's down to you, Korrina and that big bet. You must wager at least $8500 on the outcome of the final roll. You may bet more. You may even consult with Billy if you'd like. Bill -- what's the big bet? (audience shouts suggestions) [NOTE FROM DOUG: Bill and Billy, you may discuss with each other over PM -- but the big bet has to come from Bill McDee in an "on the record" reply to this particular post. Good luck, fellers.]

(scattered cheers) All right. You'll finish at least $8500 to the good -- meaning an additional $4250 to each charity. But there's a 50-50 chance you'd win much more. Good luck. Korrina -- we're all looking for a Jack, 10 or 9. (Korrina rolls) (dings; audience applause; SCSD win theme plays) It's a ten! (ding) Great job, gentlemen. That's $12,750 for each charity. We've already crunched the numbers. Billy Gardell, you're leaving us with $61,500 for Global Partnership for Education. Bill McDee, on our next celebrity special, you'll try to add to your winnings of $61,550. Any shout outs you want to send out to anyone before we sign off?
