No -- but you've got the oxymoron concept right. It's a two-word phrase in which the words appear to contradict each other. Middle clue is actually... (FF reveal sfx) ...Little Texas -- the country band who had hits in the 1990s with "God Blessed Texas" and the crossover hit "What Might Have Been". (Korrina places dice near Bill's buzzer) And I used to live in San Antonio. If you find something little in Texas, count yourself lucky. Bill, you just needed luckier throws of the dice. You ran into doubles right and left. But you'll have a chance to win more money for your charity. We'll see you back here for Game 2, Bill McDee. (Korrina walks Bill off stage) (audience cheers) Okie doke, Billy. Even though our bonus games are new -- one of which has a familiar name -- we still have a money roll. This money roll determines the most you could in at our new Big 6 game. This roll is for $5000 a point -- and doubles are allowed on the money roll. That means if you roll double sixes, you'll be playing for up to $60,000. (audience cheers) So -- best of luck -- and give 'em a roll when you're ready. (Billy rolls) (audience cheers)Hey now! Next best money roll. The 6 and 5 make for 11 -- and a $55,000 game of Big 6. Much more *could* follow in Lucky 7. We'll play them both -- when you come back to the dice table. (theme plays; audience cheers) (theme plays)

(audience cheers) Welcome back to On A Roll. For our friends watching at home, save for the money score, not much is different from previous games you've seen. When we resume regular play on Monday's show, matches will be the best two-out-of-three. The winner of each game immediately plays bonus games -- with the winner of each *match* playing for higher stakes over the course of the same bonus games. And here's where the new features come into play. Billy Gardell, you're the first to play Big 6 with our friend -- Wally! (audience cheers) Wally -- looks like you had cosmetic surgery again. (scattered laughter from the crowd) Oh -- let's just say I have a keen eye for this sort of stuff. Wally, may we have the numbers for Big 6, please? (FF reveal sfx) There we are. Thanks, Wally. Billy, the dice faces accordingly hide the letters that spell out your Big 6 word. Much like the main game, you're going to try to uncover as many letters in the Big 6 word as you possibly can. Now, Wally's about to give us a hint. Wally, may we have the hint, please? (ding) Thanks, Wally. The hint is, "Let's visit..." That means this Big 6 word is a proper noun -- and it's the name of a city, state, country or something else you'd find in a gazetteer or globe. Now, much like the game, you get four rolls of the dice. What's different here is if you roll two different numbers, you may only take one of the two numbers you rolled -- and you can never play the sum. So if you rolled a 1 and a 4, you could have Wally reveal the first letter or the fourth letter -- but not the fifth letter. After your first roll, if you can correctly solve the Big 6 word, look right into that camera and exclaim how much money you'll win for your charity.

(audience cheers) (ding) Yes indeed -- and Wally's hanging on that money for you -- $55,000. But if you need a second roll, the value of the Big 6 word drops like a rock to $5000 -- and for each roll thereafter, we cut the potential winnings in half. While you're on a roll in Big 6, anytime you throw doubles or two different numbers you've already played, that counts as a wasted roll and reduces your potential winnings accordingly. (Korrina hands Billy the dice) Thanks, Korrina. Billy, we're all rooting for you now. Even Bill wished you good luck during the break. Billy -- you -- are on a roll. (audience cheers) (Billy Gardell rolls)Starting off with a 2 and a 3. Would you like for Wally to reveal the second or third letter in the Big 6 word?

(ding) And there's an E. You only have one guess for $55,000. What's this geographic location? Remember, it's a proper noun.

For $5000, is it -- Bégard? (buzz) That's not it. Okay. We're down to a $2500 value. Two rolls left, Billy. Make the most of 'em. (Billy Gardell rolls) (audience groans) Ohhhh!!! (buzz) Wally confirms doubles automatically reduce the value to $1250. This is your last roll. Avoid the doubles and the 2-3. (Billy Gardell rolls)Argh! (buzz; NYSI89 losing horns; audience groans)More doubles -- and that's the game. But -- there is good news. We give you a consolation prize of $500, Billy. So far, you're up to $13,000 for Global Partnership for Education. (audience cheers) Just to tie up loose ends, where were you suggesting we visit, Wally? (FF reveal sfx) Regina -- (scattered laughter from the crowd) -- I have a few ideas as to why some of you find that funny -- but let's move right along to our new Lucky 7 game. Tiffany, please bail us out of this as gracefully as you only can. (last few seconds of FF88 theme plays; audience cheers) Tiffany: Oohhhh-kay, Doug. Billy, you have a chance to win a quarter of a million dollars for your favorite charity.Yes -- a quarter of a million dollars can easily make you forget about Big 6. Wally, please set up our new Lucky 7 board. (FF reveal sfx) Thanks, Wally. Billy, here's how our new Lucky 7 game works. Wally will give you a certain number of chances to roll any sum of 7 on the dice. A roll of a 1 and a 6 is just as good as a 3 and a 4 -- or a 2 and a 5. But before Wally sets the timer, we need to find out how much is at stake. All you have to do is pick a letter in the word "lucky". Those lucky letters hide different amounts of cash from $32,000 -- all the way up to the aforementioned $250,000. (audience cheers) But the higher the stakes, the fewer amount of chances you'll have to roll any lucky 7. So -- let's first pick a letter in "lucky".

Billy: The C.

Post by dougmorrisontheair on Nov 10, 2016 14:09:17 GMT -5
Billy wants to see what's hiding in C. (dings; audience applause) $100,000! Niiice. Now that we know how much you're playing for... (alarm goes off) ...that sound means Wally's activated the shutdown timer. He will now set the timer based on the value of your prize against the values of the others. So, to win $100,000, you must roll a sum of 7 in... (ding) ...three rolls. Now, for each time you don't roll a 7, you win the sum's value in hundreds of dollars. Doubles are still bad -- and, truth be told, worse than before. If you throw doubles, you don't win any money on that roll -- *and* it's an automatic shutdown. Ready to try for the 100-large, Billy?

(audience cheers) We -- uh -- didn't bring the rock 'n' roller here did we? (scattered laughter from the crowd) We bring the models from Billy's show -- but not the rock and roller. Oh well. 'Fraid you're on a roll and it's, literally, in your hands. Three shots to win $100,000. Good luck -- and you are on a roll. (audience cheers as...) (Billy rolls) An itty bitty three. Well, that's $300. Two more shots at it. Good luck. (Billy rolls) (scattered groans) Oh, close -- a 6. That's $600 more. Last roll. Come onnnnnn -- 7! (Billy rolls) (buzz; NYSI89 losing horns; audience groans)Ahhhh -- curses. Double 2. Danged doubles is right. Well, you did pick up another $900 for your charity. That brings your total up to $13,900. (audience cheers) You could win much more. So could Bill McDee for his charity. Come back for Game 2 of this Celebrity On A Roll special -- after this. (audience cheers) And welcome back to our Celebrity On A Roll special match -- showcasing our new Big 6 and Lucky 7 bonus games. You'll see them again one more time in this match -- and many more times thereafter. By the way, next week, we have our special On A Roll Big Money Week. (scattered woos and cheers) Yes, that quarter million dollar prize, whether or not it's claimed today by one of our celebrities, will be up for grabs next week -- along with hundreds of thousands of dollars in other cash payoffs. That's Big Money Week -- On A Roll -- be there -- aloha. (scattered laughter and applause from the crowd) Recapping our money scores in the match, Billy Gardell, our defending celebrity champion, has won $13,900 for the Global Partnership for Education. Bill McDee is playing for the American Cancer Society -- and has racked up $10,000 so far. The player who wins more money at the end of the second Lucky 7 game wins or reclaims the celebrity championship of On A Roll. Our guest models have changed jobs. Korrina Rico is over at the game board. And Paige Collings is with Billy, Bill and me here at the table. Stars, we'll load up our next set of clues on the board in a moment. But first, let's start a new name game. (FF reveal sfx)Eight letters in the right answer to this next question. Hands on the buzzers please -- and here we go. What game show host was on a roll -- despite those darn whammies? (ding)
(Billy and Bill, please PM me your answer and a buzz code from 1-100.)

Peter Tomarken -- hosted "Press Your Luck" here at Television City. May God rest his soul. Bill, you narrow the money score a bit. Step on into the box. Let's load up a new set of clues on the board, please. (FF reveal sfx; Korrina poses by numbered and blocked spaces) Two-word clues once again all over the place. (Paige hands Bill McDee dice) Thanks, Paige. Bill, let's see if you can avoid doubles this time. As long as you do -- you -- are on a roll.
