Bob Hilton: This is the battlefield for our game of speed and strategy! These are the letters that lead to victory on Blockbusters! With your host, Kevin Kolsen! Me: Hi, gang! Great to have you all back with us! Welcome once again to Blockbusters where we give you the letters and you have to give us the answers with those letters. We have two contestants ready to battle it out for the chance to win $20,000 in our Gold Rush. We'll start with our returning champion in the red, that's Raymond Weaver. Had some tough luck last time around but he's back with us with $3,000 in winnings. Think you'll make it back to the Gold Rush again, Ray?

I'm sure he'll give you quite a challenge today. Your opponent is Matt Riggenberg. Please tell America about yourself.

Okay, thank you, Matt. Best of luck to you today as well. In Blockbusters, you're trying to make a connection from one side to the other. Raymond, as champion, you get the red blocks and must connect from top to bottom. Matt, you're the challenger so you must connect the whites from left to right. Each letter on that board corresponds to the first letter of the answer to the question I ask. Correct answers get you blocks. Make a connection and you win a round and $1,000 in cash. It takes $2,000 to go to the Gold Rush which today is worth $20,000. As always, the board will randomly select which letter we will start with. That letter is B. Hands on your buzzers, gentlemen. The answer to this first question will start with the letter B. Here we go: "What 'B' did Mack do to dethrone Yertle the Turtle?" BUZZ: 80 1st Matt (84) 2nd: Ray (72) Matt, your answer?

Okay, this question's for you, Ray:
"What 'B' did Mack do to dethrone Yertle the Turtle?"

Seemed no one thought to do it here, either. Not that that's a bad thing. Mack burped which sent Yertle off his throne. No harm, no foul. We'll just go to another question. This also starts with B.
"What 'B' accompanied Penny to help Inspector Gadget solve cases?"
BUZZ: 53 1st: Matt (55) 2nd: Ray (43)
Matt again.

Matt's looking to anchor the left side of the board. Answer starts with the letter T. "What 'T' is a line that touches a circle or something people often 'go out on'?" BUZZ: 19 1st: Ray (35) 2nd: Matt (67) Raymond?

That's okay. This letter will take two questions as well. Next T-question is as follows:
"What 'T' went on a spree eating discarded fair food in Charlotte's Web?"
BUZZ: 34 1st: Matt (45) 2nd: Ray (19)
Matt?

Going to the L. That will link you up if you get this. Here's the question: "What 'L' kills on average 250 humans a year?" BUZZ: 90 1st: Matt (43) 2nd: Ray (7) It's Matt.

Also incorrect. The answer was Lion. Lions kill about 250 humans a year. Another L-question coming up. Everybody ready:
"What 'L' is a type of cheese that can be made in either Belgium, Germany or the Netherlands?"
BUZZ: 78 1st: Matt (96) 2nd: Ray (54)
Matt?
