We're about to start a new episode of Crag: The Numbers Game Some notes... \ After some close calls winning the million, Lenny Jackson returns with one match win and $63,600. \ The bonus for winning five straight matches is currently an Aston Martin Vantage GT with a gas card loaded with $125,000. \ This episode marks the official debut of a new question type -- Scrambled Eggs. This was in development as Alphabet Soup -- but based on the graphic resources I currently have, the letters in a bowl of soup became letters on eggs. Least you need to know about it: The eggs make up a scrambled word or phrase, totaling no more than eight letters. The players would then be asked how many of the eight letters are in their correct positions in the word or phrase in question (in keeping with the overall question theme, the correct answer will always be lower than 7 letters and higher than zero letters). Now it's time for qualifying. The player closest to the right answer, high or low, gets to play. Before the show, we printed out the above bingo card and covered all five numbers under the B. What is the sum of the five numbers under the B? Since the five numbers under the B are different and range between 1 and 15 inclusive, please make sure your answer is higher than 14 and lower than 66.This game operates on 24-hour deadlines. Please PM me your answer in 24 hours from now.

All right, we're all set. First, let's go back to the Bingo card with all those markers removed. And the 2, 9, 7, 5 and 10 add up to... (ding)...33. Who's the closest? 29 fdriscoll22Frank Driscoll. Only off by 4. Frank takes on the champ -- after we allow station identification as we near -- the *edge* of night. Staff announcer: High school highlights -- kicking off soon on WMON. (lights in studio gradually are turned on)
(audience cheers)Helloooo, everybody, I'm Doug Morris and welcome back to Crag: The Numbers Game -- where 13 can be your lucky number. With the right combination of knowledge, strategy and luck, one of our contestants could win more than $1,000,000 in cash *and* a new car. (audience cheers)When the season started yesterday, we crowned a new champion and came *real* close to winning the million on more than one occasion... ...but he has $63,600, which is nothing to sneeze out. Please make welcome our champion Lenny Jackson -- and his challenger, Frank Driscoll. (audience cheers)Players, let's talk million dollar dreams tonight. Lenny, if you won $1,000,000 in Super Crag, what would you do with that kind of money?

Well, in two weeks, I'm starting college at San Francisco State University. So a million would help a whole lot. Also, it would help my family, because I'm a triplet and my sisters are all going to different schools, so the money could help them too.

Sounds like you have your future mapped out. Best of luck in your studies and career. To both of you -- good luck in the match we're starting right now. Much like the regular dice game of Crag, our game is all about numbers -- particularly the numbers you can roll on dice. The right answer to each question on our show is a number between 1 and 6 inclusive. Sometimes, we'll ask for the Roman numeral or ordinal equivalent of one of those numbers. And there are also missing digit questions to watch for. I'll explain how they work later. (ding)Got a question mark up there. Means Round 1 of Game 1 involves a single digit question. Hands on the hickeys. (scattered laughter from the crowd) Just *once* I wanted to say that. Lenny and Frank, here's the question. Single digit question: In its original run, "The Flying Nun" lasted how many TV seasons? 25 redrangerdude 48 fdriscoll22 95 randomizer.org (Frank buzzes in)Frank?

Frank says Sally Field was flying around as a nun for 3 seasons. Is that right? (ding; audience applause)Yeppers. Frank, you're about to get on the scoreboard first. With that correct answer, you've earned up to two rolls of the Crag dice. If you like what you come up with on your first roll, take the point value of the combination and we'll proceed to Round 2. If you'd rather reroll, freeze up to two dice and reroll the rest. Now, please take a look here at the big screen -- where we have the different ways you can score a lot of points. There are four different straights in the game of Crag worth 20 points each. The 1-2-3 make up a low straight; 4-5-6 a high straight; 1-3-5 an odd straight and 2-4-6 an even straight. It doesn't matter how they appear on the board. As long as they're all different and they're all low, high, odd or even, you're 20 points to the good. If you roll three of the same number, that's a triple for 25 points. And as we like to point out here, 13 *is* a lucky number Crag. If you come up with three numbers that total 13, I'll double the sum for 26. *But* if you have a pair of numbers plus an odd number that total 13, that's a Crag for 50 points. (audience cheers)(rolling sfx)So now you know what's worth what, the dice are now rolling. Frank, they lock into your buzzer one at a time. Let's see how many points are coming your way.
(Frank, to stop the dice, please respond with three letters from A through F inclusive. You may repeat letters if you think that will help.)

(ding)Stop on a 6. (ding)Stop on a 3. (ding)And stop on a 2. Okay, that's not one of the combinations worth 20 or more, Frank. So you may stop here and take the sum of the dice in points -- in this case, 11 -- or may freeze up to two of those numbers and reroll the rest.

Freezing the outer dice. Very well. (freeze sfx)For the rest of the round, the 6 and 2 do not reroll. The 3 in the middle will reroll. (rolling sfx)And there it goes. Can you make it a good stop here?

(ding) (scattered groans) And stop on a 2. Lost a little bit. You get 10 points for that. Remember, the first player to score at least 100 points wins the game and $2500. If after ten rounds no one reaches 100, then the player closer to the goal wins. Either way, $500 are awarded to the runner-up. And I also have ten crisp new $100 bills ready to award to the first player in the match to roll a Crag. First player to win $5000 or more wins the match -- and then goes on to the Super Crag to roll for $1,000,000. (audience cheers)When we start a new round, we start with a refreshed board. Another question mark means another single digit question's coming. This one's on fun and games. Single digit question: By now, you know you need three dice to play our game of Crag -- or the standard game of Crag. But how many dice do you need to play Farkle? 71 redrangerdude 51 fdriscoll22 72 randomizer.org (Lenny buzzes in)Lenny?

All right, going for a straight or a non-Crag 13. (freeze sfx) (rolling sfx)Last screen rerolls. (ding) (scattered groans) Overshot the non-Crag by 1. Fourteen points, though. Champ leads by 4 and we're coming up on a missing digit question. We'll play a sample question first. (ding)This is the year Rio de Janeiro hosts the Olympics. And you'd have to be dumber than a javelin catcher to *not* know the first digit is a 2. (scattered laughter from the crowd) (ding)So that's how missing digit questions work. Just tell me the missing digit that's represented by the question mark. So, let's clear that board, please. And now it's on to the intended question for Round 3. Missing digit question: I'll show you the number of square yards in an acre -- and you tell me the missing digit.(ding)61 redrangerdude 52 fdriscoll22 74 randomizer.org(Lenny buzzes in)Lenny?
(And so that we may pick up the pace, players, when you "buzz in first", please go ahead and provide three stopper letters with your answer in the event you're right. Thanks.)

Going for the non-Crag 13. Very well. Let's freeze the outer dice. (freeze sfx)(rolling sfx)Should me a 6 in the middle and I'll show you 26 points. (ding) (scattered groans) Got a 3 instead. Champ leads 24-10 in this opening game of the match. Speaking of "match", let's fill in the blank. (MG'7x stinger) (scattered cheers) We're about to show you the title of a sci-fi show that had a brief two-season run. Jennifer Sky starred in the title role.
