In our last episode of Gambit, our new champion James Greek didn't win big in our Beat The Dealer bonus round. It's not over just yet since he only has a cash total of just $1,600. He'll try to win big as we are now looking for Bill McDee to see if he'll participate. If not, we'll look for someone the play against James. Please let me know and be on standby.

ROCHESTER, NY
Announcer: News 8 -- The Team You Can Trust! ============================================================================================= ============================================================================================= Dean Goss: Previously on Gambit...Tony: Whenever you guys are ready, one of you please select a number. Kourtney: I am feeling 19. ===================================================================================== Tony: Let's see what is inside door number 19. YOU HAVE EACH WON A MILLION BUCKS!!!!! [BELL CLANGING, SIREN WAILS, 21 WIN CUE, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE][FADE TO OPENING SEQUENCE, APPLAUSE CONTINUES...]============================================================================================== [OPENING THEME, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Dean Goss: Today on Gambit, find a dollar sign on the very first selection and win...
And now, from Television City in Hollywood, here is the host of Gambit-- Tony Lane![CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: Thank you, Dean. Good morning, everybody... and welcome to Gambit. Television's game of skill, fate, and fortune. It's the show where a 21 or blackjack could lead to an amazing display of cash, prizes, and (of course) $1 million. What we have shown at the beginning was from yesterday's show... a moment that we had made television history. We had a celebrity guest Ian Laudato and his civilian partner Kourtney Wilson playing Beat The Dealer. On their very first selection, they have each won the million bucks. Will it ever happen on today's show? We'll find out the answer today. First of all, our announcer Jim Thornton is on assignment in Las Vegas promoting tonight's live broadcast of "Celebrity Gambit". And filling in for Jim today is legendary announcer Dean Goss. Give it up for Dean, ladies and gents. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]And let's meet our co-host and card dealer. Please give it up for multi-talented artist/actress... Jennifer Love Hewitt. Oh, Jenn...? [WILD CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Jennifer: Thank you, Tony... and everyone in our studio audience. Thanks for that awesome welcome. While my husband is packing things up for me on our way to "Sin City", let's meet today's players. [CONTESTANTS' INTRO...]Our challenger for today is from the state of Pennsylvania. Meet MICHAEL KOONTZ! [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]And playing against Michael is our returning champion. Making his second appearance, he has an all cash total of $1,600 and is a fan of game shows and video games. From the eastern lower part of Alabama, meet JAMES GREEK! [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: Thank you, Jennifer. We'll see more of you after the break. First of all, let's meet Michael for a moment. Please tell us specifically about yourself.

Well as you said, I'm from PA, and currently unemployed. When I'm not competing in net games, I read and write.

OK... good luck to you, James. Let's all hope that you'll make an epic comeback. Coming up after the break, we'll begin the first round of our game. Our jackpots are already growing and we'll see if either player reaches 21 or blackjack. We'll begin round 1 of Gambit when we continue after this. [CLOSING THEME][CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]*fade to commercial* =================================================================================================

*back to studio* [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Welcome back to Gambit. Now that James and Michael are all set, please allow me to explain the rules. The object of the game is to get closer to 21 without going over. Each correct answer is worth $100 and whoever comes closer to 21 (or have your opponent busted) earns an additional $500. Let's take a look at the big money board. [CASH REGISTER RINGS]The person who has a total of 21 with at least three cards will win the Any 21 Jackpot of $4,000. [APPLAUSE]But whoever gets an Ace and either a 10 or face card wins the Blackjack Bonus of $20,000! [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]And before the start of this broadcast, the lab rats at Tandem Technologies, a RANDOM.ORG company, have sent Jennifer a set of 54 super sized playing cards that were shuffled, cut and sealed. Jennifer will now break the seal and we'll begin first round of the match with this card. Jenn...? Jennifer: The first card in round 1 is a 6. Tony: Hands on your buzzers... here comes the first $100 question. Arthur Miller, Paddy Chayefsky, or Reginald Rose-- Who wrote The Misfits, Marilyn Monroe's last picture?*You have 24 hours to PM your buzz-code between 1 and 100.

[AUDIENCE BOOS, HISSES...]And, once again, the audience doesn't like James's decision of keeping the 6. His chance at winning the Blackjack Bonus is now out of play. Next question. Czechoslovakia, England, or the United States-- Which country was the first to make seat belts in cars compulsory in 1969?

[AUDIENCE OOHS...]The champion has decided to pass the card to Michael. Let's find out if the champ have made the right decision. Jennifer... please reveal Michael's first card. Jennifer: Michael's first card is a Queen. [APPLAUSE]Tony: Michael is now one card away from winning $20,000. Next question coming up... Northern Illinois, UTEP, or Syracuse-- Which of the following teams plays football in the Big East Conference?

Syracuse

Syracuse is right. [APPLAUSE, DING]$300 and a 6. You have a very tough decision right now. If you pass the card to Michael and his next card is an Ace, he wins the first round of the match including the $20,000 Blackjack Bonus. You have two choices-- Do you want to keep the card or pass it to Michael?

My apologies to you, James. I've got an official confirmation from the judge. During the previous multiple choice question, he have stated, "Syracuse once played football in the Big East but now play in the ACC." We'll have to deduct $100 from you and instead go to the next question. Is that OK with you and Michael?
