On the last show, mringgenberg got a one-day total of $27,000. We need him and a new challenger to sign in, and then we can start the show.

(1978 CS Intro)
ERIN HARRIS: Aces are high, deuces are low! Call it right, and win the dough...on Card Sharks! (1978 CS Theme) And now, here's the host of Card Sharks, Bill Skinner!
Thank you very much, Erin Harris, and welcome to another edition of Card Sharks! And let's welcome back mringgenberg, who won $27,000 on our last show. And playing against him is slrcatchphrase, welcome to the show! And we can't forget our two dealers, please give a warm welcome for Tiffany Coyne and Amber Lancaster! Now while they deal the cards, let me remind you that all of our games are best-of-three, with the winner going on to play Money Cards at the end of the show. You win by getting five cards right before your opponent does. Now that we got all that out of the way, let's get to our first question, and it's our defending champion, mringgenberg, who will answer it. We asked 100 people this question:
"If you were to go on a long trip and you weren't going to drive, would you go on bus, plane or train?"
How many of those people said that they'd take those trips via train?

Higher, because most addicents happen with cars.

And slrcatchphrase says higher.
ding!
And the actual number of people who said that they'd travel by train is...
ding-ding-ding!
...40, so it is higher, and slrcatchphrase, you will play your cards first. First off, Amber, what's his base card?
(3 ♥)
A 3. Now would you like to play that 3 right away or change it?

Higher than a 3, Amber?
(4 ⋄)
ding!
Yes, it's a 4! Now, would you like to continue or freeze?

Quick! Continue! Higher!

Post by Bill Skinner on Jul 12, 2016 10:13:53 GMT -5
Once again, we're looking for something higher than a 4. What is it, Amber?
(7 ♣)
ding!
A 7! What's your decision on that?

Ooh...Freeze please.

And we'll freeze at the 7. Now slrcatchphrase, you have the honor of answering the next question. We asked 100 game show fans:
"Do you feel that the answers on the current version of Family Feud have gotten too raunchy/sexual?"
How many of those people said yes?

78 people....because, since Steve Harvey hosted Family Feud, we all know that the questions are also getting too sexual as well, so 78.

So slrcatchphrase says 78.
ding!
My apologies to Steve Harvey; didn't mean to put him on the spot, although he's doing an otherwise fine job hosting the show. Anyway, mringgenberg, is the actual number higher or lower than 78?

It's a little lower.
|
|
|
Post by Bill Skinner on Jul 12, 2016 16:57:36 GMT -5
And mringgenberg says it's lower.
ding!
And the number of people who said that Family Feud's answers — and questions, as slrcatchphrase pointed out — have gotten too sexual is...
ding-ding-ding!
...81, so it's not lower, and slrcatchphrase, you maintain control of the cards, starting from the 7 you froze at earlier. Would you like to play it now or change it?

Change that card!

|
|
Post by Bill Skinner on Jul 13, 2016 9:50:30 GMT -5
And change it we must. What's the new card, Amber?
(A ♥)
Oh, an Ace! I think I know what you want to say on that.

Lower than Ace please!

Of course it has to be lower than an Ace! What is the next card, Amber?
(3 ♣)
ding!
A 3, and you're now one card away from taking the first round. It's up to you, though, to decide if you will continue or freeze. So what's your decision?

Higher!

If it's higher than a 3, you win. Now Amber, show us the last card. Is it higher?
(2 ♥)
buzz!
Oh, there's that rare bad luck. You got a 2, and mringgenberg will now play his cards. Tiffany is going to show us the first card which he must play right now. What is it?
(9 ♣)
A 9. Now is the next card higher or lower?
|
|
|

Lower
|
|
|
Post by Bill Skinner on Jul 13, 2016 17:52:29 GMT -5
Lower than a 9, Tiffany?
(7 ♠)
ding!
Yes, it's a 7! Now are you going to continue or freeze?

Freeze

|

Post by Bill Skinner on Jul 13, 2016 18:35:22 GMT -5
And once again, we'll freeze at the 7. mringgenberg, you will get to answer the next question. We asked 100 NBA fans:
"The Golden State Warriors recently added Kevin Durant to their roster, and they are now the favorites to win the NBA championship next season. Do you agree with this prediction?"
How many of those 100 said that they agree with the prediction?
