Higher than the seven...
____MATT [9♣]|[8♣][7♣][10♣][CS]
*ding*
It's a ten. One card way from victory.

It's game, set and match if this card is lower than the ten...
____MATT [9♣]|[8♣][7♣][10♣][A♣]
*buzzer*
That means Clement wins game two!
*'86 CS Win Cue*
Clement, $500 for you for winning that game. We're going to move onto a tiebreaker when we come back. Stay tuned!

Round three our tiebreaker is set to begin...
MATT [CS][CS][CS] CLEMENT [CS][CS][CS]
You only need to call two cards correctly instead of four. Plus, I can read a maximum of three high-low questions. Since Clement forced the tiebreaker, Matt has control of this first question. Matt, we surveyed 100 first graders:
"Have you ever eaten paste?"
How many first graders said yes they have?

Post by koopakid17 on Aug 20, 2014 21:20:28 GMT -5
55 out of 100 first graders have eaten paste...
[55][__][__]
Clement, how do you reply to that?

|
|
Post by CCSCO on Aug 21, 2014 13:12:15 GMT -5
I've never had, and I trust our children. Lower.

|
Post by koopakid17 on Aug 21, 2014 18:52:25 GMT -5
Lower than that...
[55][__][LO]
And the actual number number of first graders who have eaten paste is...
[55][10][LO]
Ten of them! Clement, I think you have too much faith in America's youth.
*laughter*
CLEMENT [CS][CS][CS]
Regardless, you begin this tiebreaker with...
CLEMENT [A♠️][CS][CS]
An Ace!!

You told me to trust our children earlier in the show.
Lower!

I will be leaving today for a camping trip. I will be back mid Sunday Morning.

We all see bright futures for our kids, then.
*laughter*
Lower than the Ace...
CLEMENT [A♠️][6♣][CS]
*ding*
A six. Call or freeze, Clement?

|
|
Post by CCSCO on Aug 22, 2014 11:16:53 GMT -5
I'm taking a risk and call it higher.

|
Post by koopakid17 on Aug 22, 2014 11:31:24 GMT -5
Going for all the marbles if this card is higher than the six!
CLEMENT [A♠️][6♣][4♣]
Oh no!
*buzzer*
I don't blame you for going for it, though. However, that does mean your opponent gets a free shot...
MATT [3♣][CS][CS]
With a three, Matt!
(Matt's deadlines will be suspended until he gets back from camp on Sunday)

MATT [3♣][7♦][CS]

It's a seven.

You got it...
____MATT [3♣]|[7♦][CS]
Freezing with one card away from victory. You have control of this next high-low question. Matt, we surveyed 100 nonagenarians. These are people who have lived to be at least 90 years old:
"If given either opportunity, would you rather live to be 100 or be ten years younger instantly?"
How many nonagenarians said they would rather be ten years younger?

Actually, this question is for Clement. Let's pretend that didn't happen.

Post by CCSCO on Aug 23, 2014 2:16:28 GMT -5
Nostalgia is a frequent feeling among elderly people. And being 10 years younger also means better health for many of those.
I'm hitting high: 65.
|
|
|
Post by koopakid17 on Aug 23, 2014 8:51:58 GMT -5
So 65 out of 100 would rather be younger again...
[__][__][65]
How about you, Matt? Higher or lower than that?

Lower than that...
[LO][__][65]
And the actual number of nonagenarians who would rather be ten years younger than live to be 100 is...
[LO][62][65]
62! Matt's right, it was just a bit lower.
____MATT [3♣]|[7♦][CS]
What do you want to do with the seven, Matt?
|
|
|
Post by mringgenberg on Aug 23, 2014 11:42:46 GMT -5
Change It.
|
|
|
Post by koopakid17 on Aug 23, 2014 17:30:45 GMT -5
Changing that seven to...
____MATT [3♣]|[K♣][CS]
A KING!!

Lower!

If this next card is lower, than you're a five-time champion...
____MATT [3♣]|[K♣][10♦]
And you are!!
*'86 CS Win Cue*
Clement, you were close and yet so far. You didn't do so bad, you're walking out of here with $1,500 in cash. Nice going.
And Matt, you will play the Money Cards when we come back, don't go away!

Fifth time here at the Money Cards. Let me explain how this works once more, Matt...
[BIGBET][__][CS] [$1,000][__][CS][CS][CS] [_$500_][__][CS][CS][CS]
You'll start with $500 worth of betting money and you'll use it to make calls on three cards on the first row. After that, we'll give you another $1,000 and to make calls on the next three cards. All minimum bets are $100 except for the Big Bet on top where you must wager at least half your dough. You have three spare cards which with to change if you desire...
[S1] [S2] [S3]
But they can be used once per level. Let's start by giving Matt $500...
*ding*
[$500]
Thank you. You will start out with...
[BIGBET][__][CS] [$1,000][__][CS][CS][CS] [_$500_][8♥][CS][CS][CS]
An eight.
