You have the right to change the card since you won that question. That ten is now...
________MATT [5♣][Q♦]|[4♠️][CS][CS]
A four!

It's a seven.

Another middle card keeping you from making that last call...
___________MATT [5♣][Q♦][4♠️]|[7♥][CS]
That means we've now moved into sudden death. Here, someone will win on the next play of the cards. This high-low question will determine who will control their own destiny. Clement, we surveyed 100 bank tellers...
"Has the bank you're working at right now ever been robbed?"
How many tellers said yes it has?
|
|
|
Post by CCSCO on Aug 8, 2014 5:53:28 GMT -5
That's not happening often, I think. However, some of them could have worked 40 years or more, and in a span of 40 years, it could happen at least once.
I'm going with a fairly low answer: 11.

11 out of 100 says Clement.
[__][__][11]
Matt, how about you?

Post by mringgenberg on Aug 8, 2014 13:01:20 GMT -5
It's probably a little higher.

|
|
Post by koopakid17 on Aug 8, 2014 18:01:24 GMT -5
Little higher then...
[HI][__][11]
*ding*
About on the same wavelength. The actual number of bank tellers who did say their bank had been robbed is...
[HI][8][11]
Eight of them! It was a little in the other direction, Matt. This means our challenger has the option...
___________MATT [5♣][Q♦][4♠️]|[7♥][CS] ________CLEMENT [K♥][2♣]|[7♥][CS][CS]
Clement, you need two cards to win this first match while Matt needs one. If you want, you can play your row where you have the option to change your seven. Otherwise, you can pass to Matt where if he makes a wrong call on his last card, you win. What do you want to do?

Going for Game One and $500 if this last card is higher than the eight?
________CLEMENT [K♥][2♣]|[A♣][8♦][3♦]
*buzzer*
No, that means Matt wind the first game!
*'86 CS Win Cue*
Our champion is now one game away from the Money Cards again. Clement, you're looking to catch up when we come back, stay tuned!

Our models have just dealt the cards for our second game. Matt needs this to win his fifth match. Clement needs this to force a tiebreaker. Clement, since you're behind, this first high-low question of Game Two is for you. We surveyed 100 new fathers. These are men who have become fathers within the the past six months:
"Who is more likely to wake you up in the middle of the night: Your wife or your baby?"
How many new fathers said their baby is more likely to wake them up?
|
|
|
Post by CCSCO on Aug 16, 2014 19:13:41 GMT -5
There's a strong belief that fathers don't hear their child crying. However, I do think modern fathers will wake up at least once in the middle of the night. I'm leaning high: 71.
|
|
|
Post by koopakid17 on Aug 16, 2014 19:17:11 GMT -5
So 71 out of 100 new fathers are more likely to be woken by their baby...
[__][__][71]
Matt, how about you. Do you think it's higher or lower than that?
|
|
|
Post by mringgenberg on Aug 16, 2014 19:38:16 GMT -5
Lower

|
|
Post by koopakid17 on Aug 16, 2014 19:53:28 GMT -5
You say it's lower...
[LO][__][71]
*ding*
And the actual number of new fathers who said their baby is more likely to wake them up than their wife is...
[LO][73][71]
73! Not lower, it was higher but not by much. Clement, that guess gives you control of the board...
CLEMENT [6♥][CS][CS][CS][CS]
With a six.

A nine. Gotta play off this card, Clement.

First call for you, lower than the nine...
CLEMENT [9♣][J♦][CS][CS][CS]
Nope.
*buzzer*
Matt, you're going to have a free call...
MATT [9♣][CS][CS][CS][CS]
On a nine. You can't change this card.

Going lower than the nine!
MATT [9♣][Q♥][CS][CS][CS]
Ooh no.
*buzzer*
Neither player advances after our first go-around with the cards. Gentlemen, our next question is going to involve our ten accountants. Please come up to the stage...
*cheers and applause as the accountants approach the stage*
Matt, we also asked these accountants this question:
"Have you ever had to represent a client in tax court?"
How many accountants said yes they have, Matt?
