Number 20... (DING) It's the other half of the $5,000 check! (applause) Now since that completes a check, you finally get to draw another card Matt! A heart or a spade will be worth yet another $2,500. A three in any suit will be worth the $10,000 jackpot PLUS the car. Here's hoping for a 3 from Manuela! No, it's a Jack... Matt, do you wish to freeze? Right now you have $12,500 in all cash, plus a chance at another $5,000 playing Beat the Dealer if you elect to freeze.

Ladies and gentlemen, Matt Ringgenberg will play the Beat the Dealer game at the start of our next episode. Initially, it was going to be played during this segment, however, due to an event that unfolded yesterday, I felt it necessary to pause for a moment. First a history lesson. At the end of this year, I will turn 50 years young. And although I was only in elementary school at the time, there are two very big historic events that I recall from the early 1970s, other than Watergate. One was the oil embargo of 1973. I recall being in very long lines as a passenger in my parents' Ford Galaxy 500 automobile while they went to get gas. As a result of this situation, some game shows had a temporary moratorium on giving away automobiles as prizes. High Rollers was one such show, which was also a Merrill-Heatter show incidentally. Very soon, the 2016 Summer Olympic games will be taking place in Rio. A year prior to the oil embargo, at the tender age of 5 and a half... was my first introduction to terror, during the 1972 Summer games in Munich. I can recall how scary it was for me. I cannot even begin to fathom the horror these Olympic athletes and coaches went through during the final moments of their lives here on Earth... In more recent times... We've seen the carnage and terror that took place in a night club in Orlando, Florida. We've bore witness to the deaths of five brave Dallas Texas police, men who died while trying to protect others who were protesting against law enforcement. And again yesterday, in Nice, France, Bastille Day, where so far, 84 people who were there to celebrate, including two Americans, were killed by a madman who rammed a truck into an area, then emerged from said vehicle and began shooting. As some game shows had a temporary moratorium on automobiles back in the early to mid 1970s due to the oil embargo, we here at Gambit PM have decided to put a moratorium on giving away trips, both domestic and foreign, due to the rising surges of danger and terror that currently plague our world, and will seemingly continue to do so for some time to follow. With a heavy heart, this is Bill McDee hoping that in spite of everything, I bid you good night. (off the air)...
