[FORTUNE HUNTER CUE PLAYS...]George: Raymond... you've won a brand new washer and dryer![CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]LG's 24 in. all-in-one washer and dryer combo does it all in just one machine. It's great for those who want to be able to do laundry at home but do not have an external venting source which conventional dryers require. Perfect for homes, apartments, businesses and vacation homes where space is valuable. LG -- Life's Good. A great prize worth... $1,530. Congratulations, Raymond![CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: So Raymond... what do you think of the prize that you've just won?

I really could use that washer and dryer.

I'm sure you and the rest of your family will have your clothes clean as a whistle on your way home with a new washer and dryer. Now that Bill and Raymond have each won a round, it's time (once again) to level the playing field... ...our guest dealers Jenna & Sammi have placed three cards for both players. Third and final round means it's time to play a one-question-- *grabs card* Sudden Death match. Someone has to win it on this final play of the cards. Bill... we've asked 100 single men over 65 and dating-- Have you received a marriage proposal since turning 65?How many of them say they have received a marriage proposal since turning 65?

I would imagine that number is somewhat low, especially since I believe married senior couples would receive less in overall Social Security benefits. I think those 65 and older would elect rather to live together, especially since some of them I assume were part of the "now" Woodstock generation.
Then again some senior women, or even younger women, might be somewhat eager or desperate to marry an "older" man, so I'll say that 29 of them have been proposed to.

I agree with Bill's logic but I think it's gonna be just a little bit higher.

And the actual number is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]22. It is not higher. Bill... Before you make a decision, I'm going to turn over both base cards. You have a 4 and Raymond has a 9. You may change your card since you've won Sudden Death. If you pass it to Raymond, he must play on his 9 and turn over both cards. Make one mistake, the winner is gonna play the Money Cards and at least a chance at winning a new automobile. So what's your decision, Bill... play or pass?

|
|
Post by billmcdee on Jul 9, 2016 10:49:02 GMT -5
I'll play it myself, I'll keep that four and say higher.

OK, Bill. If you make one singular mistake, Raymond will become our new champion. Higher than a 4... [DING, APPLAUSE]Yes... it's a King!

If it's lower, you're still our champion and will be playing the Money Cards. If not, Raymond becomes our new champion. For the match, is it lower...? [WINNING BELL SOUNDS, WIN CUE 2, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]YES! Bill is still the champion! Bill, you may now exit your podium and stand at the Goodson mark. Raymond, you were a great player. $500 for winning the round and a washer and dryer. You'll be leaving us here (including some parting gifts) with a total of $2,130 in cash and prizes. Give it up for Raymond Weaver, everyone... [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Up next, Bill will be playing for thousands of dollars in the Money Cards as well as taking home his second new automobile. We'll return with more of Card Sharks right after this pause. Stick around, folks... [CHEERS, APPLAUSE CONTINUES]*fade to commercial* ==========================================================================================

*back to studio* [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Welcome back to Card Sharks. I'm here with our defending champion Bill McDee. So far, he has a total of $116,718 in cash and prizes. And in just a few minutes, he'll try to win even more cash and a second automobile. Are you ready to go all the way, Bill?

Please, I'm a married man Indeed I am ready, and I just want to say a portion of my winnings I am going to donate to ALS. I want to thank Raymond for a terrific match, and his total winnings of $2,130 inspired me to want to make a donation to ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's disease, since Lou played in 2,130 consecutive games.

[AUDIENCE AWS, APPLAUSE...]Tony: Ohhh... that was very nice of you, Bill. And I'm sure everyone would like to share the same footsteps that you've made. Please step to your personal podium and let's play the Money Cards! [MAIN OPENING THEME, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]We have 54 king sized playing cards that were shuffled and cut during the commercial break. Play your cards right and you could win as much as $168,000. Remember... minimum bets are $100 and you must risk at least half on your Big Bet. If you get a push, you don't lose it and your bet carries over. And during the break, the sensational Sammi has a Joker card for you to use in The Car Round. If another Joker appears, you'll get another chance at winning that car. George is gonna announce it later. But first, let's see you win the big dough. Here's $1,000. [DING]And... if you're stuck with a middle card, you may choose one of the three spare cards to change one card per line. Good luck to you, Bill. You'll start the Money Cards with your thousand buck and-- --a 3. [APPLAUSE]

Most definitely change it, and I'll request spare card number 2 please.
