Let's hope that your next card is a better one. It's a 5.

The old Dolly Parton thing, going from 9 to 5.
Let's say higher than a 5.

With that 5, is it higher? [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]Nope... but it's a trip to Tokyo! If you win either of the round, that trip is yours. Sammi will tip toe her way and place it in the prize column while Jenna hands me a replacement card. Do you still want to call on your 5 higher, Bill?

Let's freeze there please.

And we'll move Bill's freeze bar as he's now two cards away from winning the first game of the match. *grabs card* Bill... we've asked 100 self-proclaimed male chauvinists against women's liberation-- Do you ever think there will be a woman president of the US?How many of them say there will be a woman President of the United States?
|
|
|
Post by billmcdee on Jun 19, 2016 12:14:27 GMT -5
I think that they would believe that. Just because they are chauvinistic doesn't mean they aren't realistic, and "ever" is a very very long time.
I'll say 38 of them said that yes, there will be a woman president someday.

[DING]38 out of 100 say there will be a woman President of the United States. What do you think about the answer, Raymond... higher or lower?

|

I agree that not all think there will never be a woman president, but I think it's gonna be just a tad bit lower.

[DING]From my POV, I think it would be a tad higher. Let's find out the answer right now. Bill says 38 and Raymond says it's lower... The actual number of self-proclaimed male chauvinists against women's liberation say there will be a woman President of the United States is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]32. Raymond is right... it is lower. Raymond... you have a Queen as your base card. Do you want to play this card or change it?

Risking it lower than a 10... [BUZZER, AUDIENCE GROANS]No... it's a Jack. Raymond loses three cards already. Bill... you have a free chance... and must play on your 7.

If it's lower, not only you'll win the first game of the match... but also a trip to Tokyo. Is it lower...? [WINNING BELL SOUNDS, WIN CUE 1, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Yes... and Bill wins round 1! And Bill... not only did you win the round and $500, you've also won this prize. George...? [PRIZE CUE]George Gray: Pack your bags, Bill... because you're going on a trip to Tokyo![CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]You and a guest will fly round-trip coach from Los Angeles to Tokyo, Japan, for a six-night stay at the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo in a deluxe room with a great view of the city. See all the sights of exotic Tokyo, including the Ginza, Tsukiji Fish Market, and the Shibuya crossing. In addition to the $500 in cash that you've won, this Konnichiwa package is worth in cash and a prize-- $6,580. Congratulations, Bill![CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: Congrats on winning the trip, Bill. And while Sammi & Jenna remove the cards and replace them with a new set, we'll pause for a quick break. We'll continue with more of Card Sharks right after we do a little business for America. Stick around, folks... we'll be right back. [COMMERCIAL CUE, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]*fade to commercial* ==============================================================================

*fade to logo* George Gray: Closed Captioning sponsored today by the following--====================================================================================== *back to studio* [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Welcome back to Card Sharks. At the end of round 1, our champion Bill McDee have won the first game, $500 in cash and a spectacular trip to the Land of the Rising Sun... Tokyo, Japan. Our challenger Raymond Weaver will soon have his revenge if he wins the next round. And during the commercial break, our guest dealers Sammi & Jenna from "Dish Nation" have placed a new set of cards for both players. Raymond still has the Washer and Dryer in his prize column. If he wins this round, that prize is his. And speaking of the challenger, let's begin round 2 with our first question. *grabs card* Raymond... this next question involves 10 bachelors who have been on the hit show "The Bachelorette" on the other network. Gentlemen... please come on over to the Contestants' Row area. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]*10 men walk their way to the area* We've asked the 10 bachelors to this question-- On a first date, do you expect more than a goodnight kiss? How many of them say they would expect more than a goodnight kiss?

|
|
Post by bowlerraymond on Jun 24, 2016 6:58:54 GMT -5
I think based off the show's history I think they may expect more then a goodnight kiss, so I'm gonna go a little bit on the higher side and say that seven of them expect more then a goodnight kiss.

[DING]Raymond says 7 of the bachelors say they would expect more than a goodnight kiss. Higher or lower, Bill...?

|
|
Post by billmcdee on Jun 25, 2016 5:49:18 GMT -5
I haven't been single for a very long time, however, more than a good night kiss on a first date, I think that's a bit much to expect, so between that, and playing the odds, I'll say it's lower than 7, although it wouldn't surprise me if 7 was an exacta.

[DING]You never know when the answer shows up and I'm sure you, at home, will be the first to know. Raymond says 7 and Bill says it's lower... the actual number of bachelors say they would expect more than a goodnight kiss is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]4 of them. Bill's right... it is lower. Which of the four of you who thinks you want more than a goodnight kiss? *four men raises hands* Ken... since you're not one of the four guys, do you think a goodnight kiss is good enough? Ken: Yeah... I think a goodnight kiss is good enough to make the night a most memorable. Tony: I see what you mean. Gentlemen... please return to your seats and thank you for taking part of the audience poll. Give it up for them, everyone... [APPLAUSE]Let's return to the game... and Bill, you'll start round 2 with your base card-- --a 9.
