Wow I did miss that first one by a lot.
Since I'm not a married woman, I may very well miss this by a lot too!
I don't think women would tend to lie about that kind of thing. I'd like to think they'd tell their husbands the truth, so I'll say a low number, 17.

Let's see the answer.

Oh man, we have to take away another $4,600
$8,000
You have to start being really careful now, here's your next question. We found one hundred kids who come from a family with at least ten children and asked them, "If you could, would you like to be an only child?" How many kids from large families said they would like to be an only child?

I don't know that too many would. I myself was an only child, and always wanted to have more kids around. Luckily I had dozens of cousins while growing up.
How many would want to be an only child. I'll say 31.

Let's take a look at the answer.

You had the right idea on low, but you had to go a little lower.
$3,800
You got two questions left, and you really have to buckle down now, here's the next one. We asked one hundred married men, "Have you ever packed up and gone home to your mother?" How many married men said they have?

I think that would be far more common for wives than husbands, so I'm going to go very low and say only 6 husbands have done that. I know I never would have, much as I loved my mother.

There we go, much better.
$2,800
This is the last question, you have to come within 13 of the correct answer to win money, and here's the final question. We asked one hundred people, "Do you think some people have the ability to communicate with the afterlife?" How many people said yes?

I'm thinking a medium (no pun intended) number believe it, so I'll go with 62.

I feel like I do whenever I play the Powerball lottery and none of my numbers hit.
But I had a great time!

Even though you didn't win any money in the bonus round, you will be back on our next episode and hopefully win up to $100,000. Well that is all for today's episode, we will be back with a new episode of Closer, have a good day.
(credits roll)

I love the premise of players losing money depending on how far off they are from their guess. I love the questions and the human nature element of it.
I think perhaps if the bonus game money stakes were either higher, or the amount deducted were lower, that might prove to make the bonus game a bit more winnable.
Also, having to get all 5 answers exactly right to win the $100,000 is mathematically something like 10 billion to one (100 taken to the 5th power).
I'd suggest if any one question is an exacta, the player wins the full $100,000 right then and there, as long as they haven't already run out of money.
I think too, perhaps to make it a bit more fair, have both contestants during the main game send to you via P.M. their guesses along with any explanations and reasoning of their answers, otherwise a player can just go one above or one below the other player's guess.

What i'm doing with the bonus round is when the jackpot is not won I increase the jackpot by $50,000 and I thinking about if getting one exactly right automatically getting the $20,000 and getting two exactly right wins the jackpot.
