=============================================================================
George Gray: No matter if a club, A diamond, heart, or spade Call high or low right And you've got it made...On...[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]
And here is the host of Card Sharks... Tony Lane![LOUDER CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: Thank you, George. Good morning, folks... and welcome to Card Sharks. TV's only show where you could win a fortune in cash and prizes on the turn of a single card. And if you play your cards right, you could win up to $168,000 as well as at least a chance of winning the all new 2016 Mazda CX-5. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]I would like to say a very special thanks to Chastity Gerard for that opening poem. She watches us on KPIX channel 5 in San Francisco, California. In our last episode, we had to say goodbye to our five time champion. At least he had took home over $350,000 in cash and prizes. We'll find out if our two new challengers could reach the same goal. But first, we'll meet our card dealers as they're gonna be here all week long. From the celebrity gossip program "Dish Nation", please welcome Sammi Marino & Jenna Owens! [LOUD CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]
Jenna: I love the new set, Tony. Sammi: I agree with her. It looks amazing. Tony: I'm glad that you like it, ladies. Now that we have ourselves a new board... let's get to the cards! [MAIN THEME, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]And while these ladies set everything up, let's say hello to two new players on Card Sharks.*contestants run to their podiums* Our players for today are Bill McDee and Kevin Kolsen. First, let's meet our second challenger. Bill... please tell everyone in TV land about yourself.

Hello Tony, I am Bill McDee, 49 years of age, a little less than 7 months shy of my AARP membership LOL I have been married for 25 years, we have one son who is finishing up his junior year of high school. We live near Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania. I am currently employed and have been for the past 17 years and change as a data entry specialist for a pharmaceutical research firm. In my spare time I enjoy writing, watching NFL Football and vintage game shows on BUZZR TV, playing board games, card games and spending time with my new grand niece who is 7 months old now. And may I say with your two lovely dealers, I would not have taken notice of this glorious looking set unless they mentioned it

Good luck to you, Kevin. Now that we know the players, please allow me to explain the rules. Each player has their own set of 60 super-sized playing cards that were shuffled and cut before the start of the show. Kevin will be playing the red cards and Bill will be playing the blue cards. The object of the game is to guess if the next card is higher or lower than the card that precedes it. You may freeze at any time. And whoever wins the best 2 out of 3 games will be playing the Money Cards for thousands more. *G2-T2 hovers to center stage* Before you call on the cards, you must answer a High-Low toss-up question. We begin round 1 with our first question for Kevin since he's challenger #1. *grabs card* Kevin... we've asked 100 male business executives-- If Barack Obama were to apply for a job, would you hire him?How many of them say they would hire Obama for a job?

That's a tough question. You have someone who's about to finish a second presidential term with not everyone agreeing with his policies. That said, I bet there are people who don't even respect him as a person given the reputation he has. I'd say 45 of them.

[DING]45 out of 100 say they would hire Obama for a job. What do you think of that answer, Bill... higher or lower?
|
|
|
Post by billmcdee on May 25, 2016 3:38:44 GMT -5
It's funny, since next January 20th we will have President #45 that Kevin would pick 45.
I keep harkening back to what Mitt Romney said 4 years ago about the 47% figure, and since I think that still holds true, I'll say it's just a little bit higher.
As P.T. Barnum said, "There's a sucker born every minute."

[DING]If it's higher, you'll play your cards. If not, Kevin will be playing his cards. And if one of you get the answer exactly, you'll receive a $1,000 bonus. Kevin says 45 and Bill says it's higher... The actual number of male business executives say they would hire Obama for a job is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]63. Bill is right... it is higher. So that means he'll begin the first round starting with... ...a 6. Do you want to play this card or change it, Bill?

Let's see if we can't improve that, I'll change it please.

Whenever you win the question, you have the right to change your 6 into... ...a King! [APPLAUSE]

(Gotcha! Spinning the wheel right now) ========================================================= And we'll move the freeze bar for Bill... protecting them from his opponent. Time to pause for a commercial. Coming up after the break, we'll have our second question for challenger #2. More questions, prizes and surprises are still to come when Card Sharks comes right back following this commercial time out. Stick around... *back to studio* [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Welcome back to Card Sharks. For those of you who've tuned us in, here's what the board looks like... Our second challenger Bill is just two cards away from winning round 1 while challenger number one Kevin has yet to touch his base card. Let's return to the first round with our second question. *grabs card* Bill... we've asked 100 bachelors-- Would you marry a woman you were in love with even if she were pregnant with another man's baby? How many of them say they would marry a woman... even though she's pregnant with another man's baby?
|
|
|
Post by billmcdee on May 26, 2016 3:43:38 GMT -5
I would think that would be a pretty low number, depending on the circumstances. Still, love is blind.
Another man's baby, that could have resulted from any number of things from an affair to something worse...
I'm thinking 26 Tony.

It has to be lower. You just don't rush into these things.

[DING][APPLAUSE]The audience seems to approve your call, Kevin. Let's see if they're in sync with your call. Bill says 26 and Kevin says lower... The actual number of bachelors say they would marry a woman... even though she's pregnant with another man's baby is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]One. Kevin is right... it's lower. The first challenger now has control of the cards starting with... ...a 7.
