And away we go!
(1978 CS Intro)
ERIN HARRIS: Aces are high, deuces are low! Call it right and win the dough...on Card Sharks! (1978 CS Theme) And now, here's the host of Card Sharks, Bill Skinner!
Thank you, Erin Harris, and welcome, everybody, to another exciting edition of Card Sharks! First off, we have our returning champion, pathfinder20, who won a total of $12,400 on our last episode. And now, please give a warm welcome to the challenger who is hoping to take away pathfinder20's championship, and that would be none other than gameboy2000! As always, our games are best two out of three, and the winner of this match goes on to play the Money Cards round at the end of the show. Now pathfinder20, since you're the champion, you will get to answer our first question. We asked 100 people, and here it is:
"Michael Strahan recently announced that he will leave his talk show for other TV gigs. Do you think Kelly Ripa should find a new partner, or is she fine on her own?"
Of those 100 people, how many say that Kelly does well on her own?

I feel that part of why Live lasted so long is that there was two people able to bounce things from each other. I doubt that many people will watch with just her. I will say 22.

So pathfinder20 says 22.
ding!
gameboy2000, is the actual number higher or lower than 22?
Post by gameboy2000 on May 11, 2016 17:26:11 GMT -5
I think it will be higher.
Post by Bill Skinner on May 11, 2016 17:30:15 GMT -5
And gameboy2000 says higher.
ding!
Now the actual number of people who said that Kelly is fine on her own is...
ding-ding-ding!
...33, so it is higher, and gameboy2000 gets to play his cards first. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our dealers: Amber Lancaster, who will handle the cards for pathfinder20, and Tiffany Coyne, who will do the same for gameboy2000. Now Tiffany is going to show us the first card. What is it?
(Q ♠)
A Queen! Would you like to play that Queen right now, or change it?

Lower.
Post by Bill Skinner on May 11, 2016 17:34:31 GMT -5
So you will play it as it is and say that the next card is lower. Is it?
(4 ♠)
ding!
Yes, a 4! Would you like to continue or freeze?

Higher

Post by Bill Skinner on May 11, 2016 18:56:39 GMT -5
Higher than a 4?
(Q ♥)
ding!
Yes! And you're just two cards away from taking the first round. So what's your decision now?

Lower

Post by Bill Skinner on May 12, 2016 10:03:58 GMT -5
Lower than a Queen, Tiffany?
(A ♠)
buzz!
AARGH!!! No, it's an Ace, and I thought you were going to go all the way! So you lose all your cards in a row, and pathfinder20 will get a chance to play his cards. What's his base card, Amber?
(7 ♣)
It's a 7. You have to play it right now, so do you think the next card is higher or lower?
Post by pathfinder20 on May 12, 2016 16:04:30 GMT -5
Higher.
Post by Bill Skinner on May 13, 2016 10:12:49 GMT -5
Higher than a 7, Amber?
(K ⋄)
ding!
Yes, it's a King! Continue or freeze?

Post by pathfinder20 on May 13, 2016 15:20:58 GMT -5
Lower!
Post by Bill Skinner on May 14, 2016 10:12:56 GMT -5
This time, we're looking for something lower than a King. Amber, flip it!
(Q ♣)
ding!
A Queen! Same options apply.

Lower!

Post by Bill Skinner on May 14, 2016 14:59:39 GMT -5
Lower once again, that's what we're looking for! Amber?
(A ⋄)
buzz!
OH NO!!! It's an Ace, and we have to refresh both player's rows with new cards. Now the next question will go to the challenger, gameboy2000. We asked 100 women this question:
"Do you prefer to be skinny or plus-size?"
How many of those 100 women said they'd rather be plus-size?
Post by gameboy2000 on May 14, 2016 15:19:34 GMT -5
I'll say 23.
Post by Bill Skinner on May 14, 2016 15:37:21 GMT -5
gameboy2000 says 23.
ding!
Alright pathfinder20, is the actual number higher or lower than 23?

Post by pathfinder20 on May 15, 2016 9:07:02 GMT -5
I will go higher.
Post by Bill Skinner on May 15, 2016 13:05:05 GMT -5
And pathfinder20 says higher.
ding!
The actual number of women who prefer to be plus-size is...
ding-ding-ding!
...58, so it is higher, and pathfinder20 has the honor of playing the cards first this time. What's the new base card, Amber?
(6 ♥)
A 6! Now you can play it right away, or change it. What's your choice?
Post by pathfinder20 on May 16, 2016 10:11:13 GMT -5
Change the card please.
Post by Bill Skinner on May 16, 2016 10:15:25 GMT -5
He wants the card changed, Amber! What is it now?
(10 ♥)
A 10! Now is the next card higher or lower?
