The rules of Gambit are the same, only with a slight twist if you want to call it that. It will be a race to $1,000 or more. The first game is worth $100, second game $200 and so forth. The first player to reach $1,000, will face the ever expanded Gambit Board, where not only could you win a new car, but over $1,000,000 in cash and merchandise! Sounds cool?!

And how long is each episode supposed to be?

They will all be self-contained. I like it better that way. It will be an hour long show.

There will be the standard deck of 52, including 18 cash and prize cards inside the deck totaling 70. There are, for this game, eight prizes in the deck, including a trip to Yosemite worth over $5,000! For the time being, we have 10 cash cards. They are increments of $250 up to $1,000. There is one card worth $2,500 and another worth $5,000! Now each of you will have a STEAL Card in your possession to start off the game! When the opportunity presents itself, I will explain how you will be able to use it, as there are over $17,000 in merchandise in that deck, not counting the cash cards!
And also, do not forget about Any 21 progressive jackpot which will start at $1,000! Every value of each card, excluding prize and cash cards, will add on to it until someone hits 21 and then resets. Throughout the match, I will ask you multiple choice questions with four possible answers! Buzz in with the correct answer gives you control of the deck. Incorrect gives it to your opponent!
And of course, THE most important rule: DO NOT go over 21 under any circumstances!
Any questions?

In your version, are there any Blackjack Bonus or 21 Bonus?
|
|
|
Post by Bryan on Apr 22, 2016 14:00:10 GMT -5
The only real bonus is that the Any 21 Jackpot will be progressive after each card. It could go over $10,000 or maybe $20,000 depending on the cards!
Any other questions?

Okay both players have been informed about the newest incarnation of Gambit before the show and I will keep the new audience and the folks at home abreast also.
The way Gambit is played, we play Blackjack with a deck of 52, plus some added bonuses. Eight prize cards and 10 cash cards are added, totaling the deck to 70. I will ask you multiple choice questions with 4 possible answers. Correct buzzing answer gains control of the card, incorrect gives it to your opponent. The object is to get as close to 21 without going over.
Of course in the tradition of Gambit, we always have our any 21 jackpot, only this one is progressive. We will start it at $1,000.
(Audience applauds)
Every card drawn adds to it, with the exception of our prize cards, or FOX will lay me off before the episode ends if one of you guys hits it!
(Laughter)
Dollar amounts are $250 increments, up to $1,000. One card however is worth $2,500, the other is worth $5,000!
(Applauds and wowed)
Again job security!
(Laughter)
Among the $17,000 in merchandise alone, we have a trip to Yosemite worth over $5,000 inside that deck!
(Applauds and wowed)
First game is worth $100, second game $200 and so on. The first player to $1,000 or more, goes on to the Gambit Board to play for over $1,000,000 in cash and merchandise, and hopefully drive off in a brand new 2016 Toyota Yaris!
(Applauds and wowed)
One thing to keep in mind, the prize cards are only bonus prizes, so they will not add to your score. You must become the champion in order to win those prizes!
With that being said, each one of you has a STEAL card to start off the game, which will give you the opportunity to take one of your opponent's prizes. Once opportunity presents itself, I will explain how to use it.
Also if you get 21, not only do you win the jackpot, you will earn this trusty power chip (PC), that is if you become the champion and go to the Gambit Board!
Stacey if you will, break the seal on that deck of cards, Greg you won the toss backstage (first player to sign on), so if you will cut the cards for me sir! (Greg cuts the deck)

Stacey looks more than excited, she shaking like a leaf! (Laughter) You ok Stac?
Stacey: Oh I'm fine, just excited!
You're about to shake the cards off the table my dear! (Laughter) You sure?
Stacey: Yes Bryan! (Laughter)
Okay I'll trust you this time. (Laughter). Go ahead and reveal the first card for our $100 game, we're playing for........
$2,500! (Ding ding ding ding ding)
Let's see who gets control of the first cash card of the match by answering the first question! Hands on buzzers, good luck to both of you! (Buzzcode 1 through 30)
Cadderly Bonaduce and Drizzt Do'Undre are characters in which game series?
A. Balder's Hedge B. Balder's Rune C. Balder's Gate D. Balder's Door

Post by Bryan on Apr 24, 2016 15:57:37 GMT -5
You guessed correctly Bill! $2,500 cash card goes over to you!
(Ding ding ding ding ding)
Greg $0 STEAL
Bill $0 STEAL ($2,500)
Now usually after the first card, the remaining cards are face down after each question is answered, but since that was a cash or prize card, Stacey will go on and reveal the next card to hopefully start the match!
She now pulls.......... $1,000! (Ding ding ding ding ding)
(I look at the card shufflers)
You tease me! (Laughter)
Some way to start my debut as host of Gambit. It's like waving wet food in front of my four cats just to torture them, (Laughter)
But in any case, second question! Hands on buzzers!
Which family game has a player guessing which of 24 characters his opponent has selected?
A. Guess Who? B. Who Are You? C. Is It You? D. Who Am I?
