mringgenberg is back to defend his championship after winning a grand total of $5,300 on the debut episode. I need a player to take him on; we'll begin the show after both players have signed in.

And away we go...
(1978 CS Intro)
ERIN HARRIS: Aces are high, deuces are low! Call it right, and win the dough...on Card Sharks! (1978 CS Theme) And now, here's the host of Card Sharks, Bill Skinner!
Hello again, everybody! Thank you, Erin Harris, and welcome to another episode of Card Sharks, and we're pleased to welcome back to the show mringgenberg, who has a one-day total of $5,300 in winnings, and is ready to go for more. But first, he'll have to get past his new challenger, koopakid17. Good luck to the both of you, and please give a warm welcome to our dealers, Amber Lancaster and Tiffany Coyne. Amber is dealing mringgenberg's cards, and Tiffany will do the same for koopakid17. As you know, this is a best two out of three match, and whoever wins two rounds will then play the Money Cards for even more cash. mringgenberg, as the returning champion, will play the first question. We asked 100 people, and here it is:
"Fuller House is the latest in a long line of rebooted TV shows. Are you a fan of these newer shows, or do you prefer the original versions instead?"
How many of those people said that they prefer the original versions of those shows?

I've watched both the original and the 2012 versions of Dallas and the original lasted 14 seasons compared to TNT's 3 seasons. So it's going to be a high number. 82

mringgenberg says 82 people prefer the original.
ding!
koopakid17, is the actual number higher or lower than 82?
Post by koopakid17 on Mar 7, 2016 17:51:48 GMT -5
For nostalgia's sake, I think people prefer the original shows but I think it's going to be just a little lower than 82.
Post by Bill Skinner on Mar 7, 2016 17:55:01 GMT -5
And koopakid17 thinks it's lower.
ding!
Well, the actual number of people who prefer the original versions of these shows is...
ding-ding-ding!
...79, so it is lower, and the challenger will play his cards first. Now what's the first card in koopakid17's row, Tiffany?
(3 ♠)
It's a 3. Now koopakid17, would you like to play that card or change it?

Post by koopakid17 on Mar 7, 2016 18:05:02 GMT -5
I'll play the three and call higher!

Is it higher than a 3?
(5 ♥)
ding!
Yes, it's a 5! Now would you like to continue or freeze?

Higher!

Higher than a 5?
(5 ⋄)
buzz!
No, it's another 5, so you lose all the cards in your row. Now mringgenberg, you gain control of the cards, and you must play the first one right away. Let's see what it is, Amber.
(Q ♥)
A Queen! Is the next card higher or lower?

Post by mringgenberg on Mar 9, 2016 13:20:48 GMT -5
Lower!

Post by Bill Skinner on Mar 9, 2016 14:06:34 GMT -5
Is it lower than a Queen?
(10 ♣)
ding!
Yes, it's a 10! Continue or freeze?

Freeze!
Post by Bill Skinner on Mar 9, 2016 14:24:08 GMT -5
And we freeze at the 10. Now here comes the second question, and this time, koopakid17 gets to answer it. We asked 100 people this question:
"The Democratic presidential race has been a hotly-contested battle between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Of the two, which one do you think should be the nominee?"
How many selected Hillary Clinton as their choice?
Post by koopakid17 on Mar 9, 2016 19:57:42 GMT -5
Honestly, I prefer Sanders. Clinton's a terrible candidate and she's rigging the election so much in her favor. People are taking notice so I think 30 of them want her as their choice.
Post by mringgenberg on Mar 9, 2016 22:01:09 GMT -5
It's going to be lower.
Post by Bill Skinner on Mar 10, 2016 11:22:42 GMT -5
So koopakid17 says 30...
ding!
...and mringgenberg thinks it's lower.
ding!
Well, the actual number of people who picked Clinton is...
ding-ding-ding!
...35, so it's not lower, and koopakid17 will try again with his cards. First off, Tiffany, what's the new base card?
(K ♠)
A King! Now would you like to play that card or change it?
Post by koopakid17 on Mar 10, 2016 19:15:01 GMT -5
Lower!
Post by Bill Skinner on Mar 11, 2016 13:26:50 GMT -5
Is it lower than a King?
(8 ♥)
ding!
Yes, it is! Now what's your decision?
Post by koopakid17 on Mar 11, 2016 22:26:46 GMT -5
Freeze!
Post by Bill Skinner on Mar 12, 2016 13:44:50 GMT -5
And we'll freeze at the 8. The next question of the game will go to mringgenberg, but since he won't be able to reply at this point, the show will go on hiatus, and continue when he is able to. We asked 100 people this question:
"Daylight Savings Time will begin this coming Sunday, with clocks being set one hour forward. Do you think it's a good or bad idea?"
Of those 100 people, how many said it was a bad idea?
Post by mringgenberg on Mar 12, 2016 17:39:14 GMT -5
26
Post by Bill Skinner on Mar 13, 2016 12:17:40 GMT -5
So mringgenberg says 26...
ding!
...and koopakid17, is the actual number higher or lower than 26?
Post by koopakid17 on Mar 13, 2016 12:18:41 GMT -5
I think more people want to pretend it doesn't exist. I'll say higher.
Post by Bill Skinner on Mar 13, 2016 12:23:25 GMT -5
It's higher from koopakid17.
ding!
The actual number of people who said that Daylight Savings Time is a bad idea is...
ding-ding-ding!
...43, so it is higher! As a result, koopakid17, you will start from the 8 you froze at earlier. Would you like to play that 8 or change it?
Post by koopakid17 on Mar 13, 2016 12:31:59 GMT -5
Change it!

Let's see what your new base card is.
(2 ⋄)
A 2! Is the next card higher or lower?
