Time to start a new week of episodes for "On A Roll".
\ Kourtney Wilson returns having won three matches and $149,935 in cash and merchandise.
\ We have a new car and a new trip on offer "this week". If Kourtney wins either game in the match, he'll play for the trip in Wally's Getaway Game after Lucky 7. If anyone else wins a game in the match, (s)he'll try for the car. Details of the car and trip will be released as the episode progresses.
Now it's time to find Kourtney's challenger. The player closest to the right answer to this question, high or low, gets to play. The question...
On August 30, 2012, at 6:30pm Central, we watched a GSN rerun of "Family Feud". In Fast Money, two members of the winning family didn't reach the goal of 200 points. The family received how much money as a consolation prize? Please respond in increments of $5.
This game operates on 24-hour deadlines. Please PM me your answer in 24 hours from now.

(time passes) All right, let's see how the fam did. (ding)They score 138 points for $690. Who's the closest? $710 dealorjohnny $710 mringgenberg
We've got a tie. Now, *normally*, the player who PMed 710 sooner would take the tie-break edge. However, recent history shows us Matt was a big winner "last week" on "On A Roll". So, Matt, let's give Jonathan Cooke a chance to play, okay? Jonathan takes on Kourtney -- after station identification. Staff announcer: CBS4 -- always on. (vamp to opening theme)Tiffany Phillips: If you uncovered the clues... ...Jerry Buckner... ...Gary Garcia -- and... ...maze game song, would you think of... ...Pac-Man Fever? If so, you're -- on a roll (opening theme plays; audience cheers) Joining us at the game board is, from "Supergirl", Laura Benanti. Our dice girl for Game 1 is former wrestler A.J. Lee. And here's our host, ready to get on a roll, Doug Morris!(more cheers) Doug: (impersonating *The* Bruce Dickinson) I've got a fevah! And the only prescription -- is more Pac-Man! (audience laughs and applauds)Doug: Hellooo, everybody, and welcome to On A Roll. Hope you had a great weekend. And if you didn't, hope you're relieved to see us. (scattered laughter from the crowd) And I can't think of a better to start a new week than with our guest models. Laura Benanti, welcome. Laura: Thank you, Doug. Great to be here. Doug: Laura has a recurring role on "Supergirl" as the title character's mom, albeit in hologram form. You'll recall, Laura, that two of your castmates helped us out on our Christmas special. Did they give you any advice? Laura: Just -- don't touch the wrong screen. (scattered laughter from the crowd) Oh -- and look gorgeous touching the right screens. Doug: Well, you definitely look gorgeous today. Thanks for joining us. Also looking gorgeous, fresh off the world of pro wrestling, is A.J. Lee. A.J., did you have any signature moves when you were in the ring. A.J.: Yes -- there's the sleeper hold and guillotine choke, both with body scissors. Doug: Woah. A.J.: And for a finishing move -- the shiranui -- sometimes while standing. Doug: Umm -- may I ask a favor? (scattered laughter from the crowd) A.J.: Sure. Doug: Please don't try any of that when a player rolls a double. (audience laughs and applauds)A.J.: (laughs) Umm -- never. Doug: Good -- let's meet today's rollers. (theme plays; audience applause)Kourtney Wilson and Jonathan Cooke are coming to the dice table. Kourtney has won three matches, thus far, and $149,935 in cash and merchandise. (audience cheers) Now, Kourtney, under our prize game system, if you win one of our games today, you'll play Lucky 7 and then Wally's Getaway Game. As the title implies, Wally's Getaway Game is for a dream vacation. Where would you like to go if you win the getaway game?

To be honest, I would love to go to South Korea. Give me a chance to see the culture personally instead from a computer screen. Hopefully I will be able to speak a bit of Hangul without making a fool of myself completely.

And you might be able to rub shoulders with Psy.
Well, we eventually will learn this week's destination in the getaway game. Even if it's not South Korea, you can afford to go there on your dime. You've won more than $70,000 in cash.
Good luck to you -- and good luck to Jonathan, the newcomer. Please tell us about yourself.

Well, I'm a huge fan of Deal or No Deal, and a huge fan of board games. Speaking of board games, I do have a board game called "Dicecapades." Fun game, and over 100 dice to play with.

I love that game as well. Well, let's see how well you and Kourtney fare in our dice-capades. Players, here's how you get on a roll. You win control of our dice by winning the name game. The first player to signal and correctly identify the famous last name earns four rolls of the dice. Let's get right to it -- and start the match with this... (FF reveal sfx)... wow -- eleven-letter famous last name. Here's the clue. He was on a roll -- in the world of basketball. (ding)
(Kourtney and Jonathan, please PM me a buzz code from 1-100 as well as your answer. If you're stumped, please respond with "pass".)

(time passes) (buzz buzz)No one chimed in in time -- so I'll repeat the clue one final time and offer just three additional letters. He was on a roll -- in the world of basketball. (ding)
(Kourtney and Jonathan, please PM me a buzz code from 1-100 as well as your answer. If you're stumped, just PM me the word "pass".)

[No response in time from Kourtney -- so...] (Jonathan buzzes in) Jonathan? Jonathan: CHAMBERLAIN (dings; audience applause)That's it. Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlain. Legendary player who score 100 points in a particular game. All right, Jonathan, please step into the box as we load the board. (FF reveal sfx; Laura poses by numbered and blocked spaces) )Two words in the top row, two in the middle and one at the bottom. Those words serve as clues that lead to the identity of a person, place or thing. Jonathan, you'll uncover as many letters as you can with the numbers and sums you roll on the dice. The letters that are blocked by question marks stay blocked until you correctly solve a clue. As always, please be careful and do *not* roll doubles. If you throw doubles, your opponent takes command of the round, the remaining rolls and a free letter along the way. (A.J. hands Jonathan the dice) Thank you, A.J. Jonathan -- you -- are on roll. (Jonathan rolls)And you start off with a 5 and a 3. This means you may take any 3 and 5 off the board -- and they don't have to be on the same row -- or you may play the sum and take the 8 from the top row since the other 8 is blocked.

(Laura touches screen) You get an R and... (Laura touches screen) ...an A. You may guess the top clue or roll again. Remember, if you guess at a clue or the overall puzzle, there's no penalty. Only real penalty in the game are the doubles.

(Doug tries to impersonate Yoda) No. Try not. (scattered laughter from the crowd) (Doug still in Yoda character) *Do* -- or do not. There is no try. (Jonathan rolls)And your try of avoiding the doubles is good again with a 2 and a 6... ...or an 8.

Let's remove the 2 and the 6 off the top row.

(Laura touches screen) Another A and... (Laura touches screen) ...another R. If pirates suddenly appear, I'm outta here. (scattered laughter from the crowd) Jonathan, want to guess the top clue or take the third roll of the round?

Post by dealorjohnny on Apr 4, 2016 5:51:02 GMT -5
Let's roll. I'm pretty sure there won't be any pirates.

(Jonathan rolls) (audience groans) (buzz) No pirates -- but it's a double and you don't get anything for a pair. Audience: Not in this game! Jonathan, please step back to your buzzer. Kourtney, you know you're way around the submarine by now. He's already in the box. Before you take the last roll of the round... ...you're entitled to a free letter.

We started upstairs. Might as well end the round upstairs. (Laura touches screen) And you get an N. Kourtney, you may guess the top clue if you'd like. If you're right, you'll have a chance to win the game. If you're wrong or want to pass, we'll play another name game.

(No response in time from Jonathan -- so...) (Kourtney buzzes in) Kourtney? Kourtney: Meriwether. (dings; audience applause) Yeah -- Lee Meriwether -- who went on to become Catwoman on "Batman" and Betty on "Barnaby Jones". All right, Kourtney. Already back in the box. A.J. gives you the dice -- and once again, you're on a roll. (Kourtney rolls)And you start this round with a 5 and a 4.... ...or a 9.
