With some question in his voice, he says "Third Sunday in June". Is he right? www.dougmorris.net/games/sfxcbsding.mp3Correct James! Time for your come out roll, everything is safe. Select a number higher than 0 but lower than 37 please.

Come out roll is... A seven. Safe on the come out roll only. Now you are in the Danger Zone James. The next roll of a 7 forfeits the pot. You can bank $350 or roll again and try to build it up and perhaps take the lead going into question #4. What's your decision? If you roll again, please give a roll code higher than 0 but lower than 37.

And this time he rolls... www.dougmorris.net/dice/prizecues/mx-double.mp3Whoa Nellie! Our first double! Which means the DOUBLE DECISIONS board is activated... www.dougmorris.org/sfx/sfxshuffle.mp3James, you can allow that roll of an 8 to be worth $400 added to the pot, or you can take a chance and select one of 9 numbers from our Double Decisions board. Some things on the board will increase the value of your roll, some will decrease it. Here's a breakdown of what's up there. One monitor hides a $25 per point card. That will reduce the value of this roll from $400 to $200. Two say $75 per point, meaning the roll will be worth $600 instead of just $400. One says $100 per point, which would make this roll $800 instead of $400. One says $150 per point, which would make this roll $1,200 instead of $400! One card is an insurance marker. If you select it, we will put $400 into the pot and you will get to keep the insurance marker for the remainder of game #1 only. Should you roll a 7 that would normally stop your progress during a turn, you would hand it in and take another roll right away. One is a STOP card. If you hit that, then your turn ends, and we will simply deposit $400 more into the pot and you will bank the pot. One says "ODD OR EVEN?" If you select that, we will put $400 into the pot and then you will have to roll, and correctly predict if the next roll will be odd or even. If you are right, you keep the pot, if you are wrong however, the pot goes to Kevin. Lastly, there is one card up there that shows a dice total of 7. If you hit that, we'll deposit the $400 into the pot, however, you will forfeit any chance of winning it, and your opponent will get one free roll to try to steal it, or perhaps even steal double the pot. So 6 of the numbers are good and cannot harm you. One will lower the value of this roll by half, one will give you a 50/50 chance of keeping the pot, and one will give your opponent a chance to steal. With all this in mind James, do you simply want to put $400 into the pot, or select a number from the Double Decisions board?

And James will bank $750... www.dougmorris.net/games/sfxcbsding.mp3Placing James into the lead now by $300, as we head into the 4th and final question of this game. After this question, it will be the Catch Up Round. First things first... Let's reveal the answers for our next question... www.dougmorris.org/sfx/sfxreveal.mp3Oranges, Apples and Lemons... One of which is the correct answer to THIS...very question. WHICH OF THESE FRUITS IS NOT, I REPEAT, IS NOT, CLASSIFIED AS A CITRUS FRUIT? www.dougmorris.net/dice/sfxbuzzin.mp3Kevin you are first this time. You have until 3:05pm EST on Friday, Feb. 19th to either answer or challenge James to answer the question.

I will answer with apples.

He says Apples is correct. Is it? www.dougmorris.net/games/sfxcbsding.mp3(applause) An apple a day, and having the wrong insurance, will both keep the doctor away. But there's no keeping Kevin away from the Hot Dice. Kevin, a come out roll of a 6 will pull you into a deadlock with James. A come out roll of 7 or more will put you back into the lead. So pick up those Hot Dice and roll 'em (A number higher than 0 but lower than 37 please).

And Kevin you have rolled... BIG BOXCARS!!! (applause) Best possible come out roll, and because this was on the come out roll, the Double Decision board does not come into play. That's $600 Kevin. If you bank it now you'll have $1,350, a $300 lead over James, however James will get at least one final roll to try to catch up. Bank $600 or risk it and roll again Kevin?

(audience cheering) Sure, it's not YOUR money at risk! Actually sound strategy I'd say, let's find out... Next roll... An iddy biddy three! Another $150 added to the pot, now up to $750. If you bank that now Kevin you'd have $1,500 and James would need at least a 9 or a double to possibly catch you with the Catch Up round. What do you want to do now Kevin?

I'll bank.

That doubles your money Kevin to $1,500! (applause) www.dougmorris.net/games/sfxcbsding.mp3Will it be enough? We're going to find out right now, here in our Catch-Up Round... Sponsored by our good friends at the Heinz Company. Grown, Not Made.® It's no wonder Heinz® Tomato Ketchup is the world's favorite. Speaking of "ketchup", James, currently you are trailing $1,500 to $1,050. You will get at least one more roll of the dice. In our Catch Up round, if you roll a 7, Kevin will win the game and $1,500. If you roll an 8 or less, that will not be enough to catch Kevin, and he will win the game as well. If you roll double ones, double twos, double threes, or double fours, you will have to go to the "Double Decision" board and pick up something that provides an additional roll. If you roll a 9 or higher, you will have caught up James, however, Kevin will get one final roll. James, please select a number higher than 0 but lower than 37, and let's hope for you that you roll a 9 or higher.

And James has rolled... A NINE!!!!!! (applause) www.dougmorris.net/games/sfxcbsding.mp3And indeed James you have caught up to Kevin, however, Kevin also gets one final roll. Here's the situation Kevin. If you roll a 7, $0 will be added to the pot and we will have to play one tie-breaker question. If you roll anything other than 7, you will automatically win. If you roll doubles, we're just going to pay you $50 per point, rather than even give you the option to go to the Double Decision board since the board contains some potential perils on it. Kevin, select a number higher than 0 but lower than 37 and roll those Hot Dice!

Kevin's roll for game 1 of the match... It's a FOUR!!! (applause) $200 into the pot! www.dougmorris.net/games/sfxcbsding.mp3Transferred to Kevin's bank! For a $1,700 game win! www.dougmorris.net/games/sfxaudiencecheersdings.mp3That was an exciting finish players! James, the bad news is you win no money for this game, however, we play a 2 out of 3 game match, so you're very much still alive. Also James, as runner-up in this game, you will receive this prize as a consolation, Burton? Burton Richardson: Clean your dishes with this Samsung DW80F600UTS/AA 24" built-in dishwasher that features 4 cycles and an NSF Certified sanitization option to ensure sparkling results. (applause continues) Game 2 of this match, right after these words!

BURTON RICHARDSON: All of our parting contestants will receive a $250 coupon, redeemable for the fine family of Heinz products, ketchup, mustard, relish and many other items, courtesy of Heinz. Anticipation...it's making me wait. Also, courtesy of Milton Bradley, all departing contestants will receive a home version of the Hot Dice game, plays just like the television program. And now, back to more of Hot Dice with Bill McDee! (applause) That's me! Kevin Kolsen, an accountant from New York took game number 1 in a very close and exciting contest. Players, here's hoping game 2 proves to be exciting and rewarding too! Let's get right into it, here is question one, and three possible answer... www.dougmorris.org/sfx/sfxreveal.mp3Exclamation Point, Question Mark and Dollar Sign. Puts me in mind of when I try to balance my checkbook. Here's the question... ON A TRADITIONAL MONOPOLY GAME BOARD, THE SPACES KNOWN AS "CHANCE" ARE REPRESENTED BY WHICH OF THESE ITEMS? www.dougmorris.net/dice/sfxbuzzin.mp3Kevin, you are first. Do you wish to answer yourself or challenge James? If you do not indicate your answer or your decision to challenge James by 3:15pm EST on Saturday, Feb. 27th, James will then have the option of answering or challenging you Kevin.

Post by billmcdee on Feb 26, 2016 5:19:42 GMT -5
Is question mark the correct answer? www.dougmorris.net/games/sfxcbsding.mp3(applause) Of course! I would mention what Community Chest is represented by, however, this is a family show... Kevin, select a number higher than 0 but lower than 37 for your come out roll. All rolls are safe, and all rolls, including 7 or doubles, will be multiplied by $50 to seed the pot.

And the come out roll is... A 7, the only time you want to see one of those! $350 in the pot Kevin. You can bank it or keep on rolling to try to build that pot up higher and higher. Roll a 7 however and James could possibly steal it away, or steal double the pot away even. What do you want to do Kevin?

Now that he has one game under his belt already, he's in a gambling mood And the roll is... Ut oh!!! www.dougmorris.net/dice/prizecues/mx-bust.mp3That means the $350 pot is forfeited by Kevin, and now...the new twist to the game, James, you'll get one roll of the Hot Dice to try to steal that pot. Roll a 7 and it is yours. Roll doubles, and we'll double it to $700. Roll any other number and lunch is on me Burton! James, select a number higher than 0 but lower than 37, see if you can roll either a 7 or doubles to score!
