(Back to the studio) We're back with our champion Kevin Kolsen. Kevin, in just a moment, you'll be trying to win as much money as you can in the Money Cards. But first, I need to explain how this works. You'll start out with $400 on the bottom row and work your way through three cards there. Once that row is done, the last card in the bottom row becomes the base card for the middle row. Once you get to the middle row, you'll get another $700 in betting money and you work the row the same way as the first. The last card in the middle row then becomes the base card for the Big Bet. Minimum bets are $100 for the first two rows; however, you must risk at least half your money at the Big Bet. You're also allowed to change one card per line. And since you won the match, you're going to get at least one shot at winning a car in the second part of our bonus game. Additional shots are given if you uncover a Joker at any point in the Money Cards. So when all is said and done, Kevin, you could end up with $62,400 in cash! (audience applauds) I would certainly love to give all that money away, but let's see what happens. Here's your first $400. (ding) Best of luck to you, Kevin. Your first card is......................a five (5C). Play it or change it?

$250 higher than a five.......................a six (6C). $650 and a six. Play it or change it?

Change it!

He is changing the six. Now, you have three spare cards to choose from. Which one would you like?

Number three. Card number three is..........................a ten (10H). How do you want to call the ten?

$200 lower!

$200 lower than the ten.........................another ten (10C). You know, of course, that you do not win money on a push. However, you do not lose money either on a push. So you're still at $650 and a ten. How do you want to call this time?

Same bet, same call. $200 lower.

$200 lower than the ten.........................a three (3H)! That's much better. That'll bring you to $850 and you have cleared the first row. Up goes the three to the middle row and we'll give you another seven hundred dollars in betting money. That brings you to $1,550 and you have a three in front of you. Since this is a new row, the option of play or change is now restored as well. So Kevin, play off the three or change it?

$2,500 lower than a Queen.............................a deuce (2S)! $5,450 and a two. Play it or change it?

The whole thing higher than a two...................................a Jack (JD). Up to $10,900 and the Jack goes up to the Big Bet. All right Kevin, you have a Jack staring at you. You have the option to play it or change it, but I will also remind you that you have to bet at least $5,450 on this card. How do you want to handle this card, Kevin?

Number two it is. The card is...................another Jack (JH). You must play this one, Kevin. As mentioned earlier, you have to risk at least $5,450 on this card. How do you want to call it?

$6,100 lower than a Jack.........................it's a Joker! (audience applauds) By virtue of finding that Joker, Kevin, you have earned another shot at the car. You now have two shots at it. You still have the Jack. Care to try the same bet on it?

Same bet, $6,100 lower than a Jack...................................a nine (9S) and you're $17,000 richer. (TPIR winning bells) Well done, Kevin. We add that to the $2,000 you won up front and that gives you a total of $19,000. But we want you to add to that total, so let's see if you can do it as you try to win a brand new automobile. Rich, tell him all about it please. (cue The Big Banana) Rich: It's the 2015 Cadillac Escalade. Comes with standard features plus 2 liter engine, automatic transmission, AM/FM radio, paint sealant and fabric protectant. The Cadillac Escalade. It's a prize worth $73,580! Good luck, Kevin! (Big Banana fades out) Me: Now that is some car. That'll take you close to a hundred grand should you win it. You have two chances to do it. Before we go any further, though, please take a look at the video board behind me.
C A R D S H A R K S As you can see on our video board, we have Card Sharks spelled out. Behind one of those letters is $1,000. Behind one of those letters is $3,000. Behind one of those letters is $5,000 and behind one of those letters is $10,000. The word CAR is also hidden behind one of those letters. However, behind five of those letters is the word Sorry. You don't want that. Now, since you have two Jokers in hand, you get to select two letters. Which letter would you like first, Kevin?

He wants the C in CARD. Behind there is....................Sorry. (buzzer) One shot left, make it count. Kevin: H in SHARKS Me: Going for the H in Sharks. Behind there is.........................................$1,000. (ding ding ding) Well Kevin, you won another thousand to take you to $20,000. But let's see where that car was hiding. (I hit the S in Sharks and find CAR) You were very close, Kevin. The S in Sharks would have given it to you. (cue 1978 CS theme) Well Kevin, if you manage to make it back here tomorrow, we'll have that same car waiting for you. We'll wrap everything up after this. (Fade to commercial)

(Back to the studio) We're back. Now, you folks at home saw Kevin win twenty thousand dollars on tonight's broadcast. But you can win some of that money yourself. How is that possible, you ask? Well, Rich Fields will tell you how you can join in on the winning. Rich: If you'd like to be a contestant on Card Sharks, send your request to be a contestant in a self addressed stamped envelope to the following address.
CONTESTANTS Card Sharks CBS Television City 7800 Beverly Blvd. Los Angeles CA 90036
Be sure to specify in your request whether you'd like to be a contestant on our daytime or nighttime program. You can also make a request to be a contestant over the phone. Our phone lines are open Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm Pacific Time. Now back to Mark. Me: Thank you, Rich. We'd love for some of you at home to be on this stage sometime soon winning lots of money. The catch, however, is that you must be at least 18 or older and be a resident of the United States or Canada in order to be considered. (cue 1978 closing theme) And that music means that we have to go. Kevin's going to be back tomorrow and we hope you'll be back with us as well. Take care, everyone.
