We're getting ready for the 14th episode of On A Roll. Before we start, some notes. \ Kourtney Wilson returns with one match win and $31,000 in cash. \ We finally have a full rules sheet posted to www.DougMorris.net/oar . Now it's time for qualifying. The player closest to the right answer, high or low, plays against Kourtney. Here's the query. On February 7th, 2013, at 9:30pm Central, we watched a rerun of "Silent Library" on MTV2. Out of a possible $5500, how much money did the team of six players win in this episode? Please respond in increments of $100. (To clarify, there was an end-of-show disclaimer noting that footage from some challenges did not air due to time constraints. Unaired challenges that resulted in payoffs are, obviously, not calculated in the right answer to this qualifying question.) This game operates on 24-hour deadlines. Please PM me your answer in 24 hours from now.

(time passes) Some low answers -- when the right answer is pretty high. (ding)Four large and two bills. Who's the closest? $3200 fdriscoll22Frank Driscoll's going to challenge Kourtney -- after we let a certain station from a certain land that gave us infamous contestants a chance to ID itself. Staff announcer: Pick up the pace on KVZK-4. (vamp to opening theme)Tiffany Phillips: If you uncovered the clues... ...Mister Freeze... ...football team -- and... ...Oxford, would you think of... ...the Ole Miss Rebels? If so, you're -- on a roll! (opening theme plays; audience cheers) Joining us at the game board, from "Monopoly Millionaire's Club", is Paige Collings. Our dice girl for Game 1, also from "Monopoly Millionaire's Club", is Korrina Rico. And here's our host, ready to get on a roll, Doug Morris! (audience cheers) Thank you, Tiffany, hellooooooo, everybody, and welcome to "On A Roll". Last time we were together, we crowned a new champion who won a lot of money and is after a lot more. We'll bring out the champ and challenger in a moment. But first, let's chat with these lovely ladies from... (Korrina hands Doug note) ...the -- uh -- "Monopoly Millionaire's Club". Should I read this note on the air? (Korrina nods head "yes") (scattered laughter from the crowd) If you insist. (Doug reads said note aloud) "Dear, Doug. While we're thrilled to be back on 'On A Roll', we have to give you as much silent treatment as we did Greg. We do not speak on our show. We are merely here to provide eye candy and to do our jobs. Our contracts do not permit us to speak. Blame the producers. Love, Paige and Korrina." (scattered groans and laughs from the crowd) Ah, man. I wanted to talk about your show and Billy and everything. But instead -- let's chat with and meet -- today's rollers. (theme plays; audience applause)Kourtney Wilson and Frank Driscoll. Kourtney is our new champ with $31,000 in cold hard cash already. Kourtney, please remind us what you do.

When you managed to top the competition at this table in the last game. Good luck to you today. And good luck to the newcomer, Frank.

Ah, well good luck in your studies, Frank. Again, equal good luck to you both. As you know, to get on a roll, all you have to do is win a name game. The first player to chime in and correctly recognize the famous last name gets control of the dice for four rolls -- and uncover parts of our game board. We'll set up the board later. But right now, let's play a sample name game. (FF reveal sfx)A name game starts by showing you the number of letters in the last name. In this case, seven letters. I then read the clue. He got on a roll -- when he was named host of "Wheel of Fortune".We then randomly reveal three letters in the name... (ding)...and then you may buzz in and take a guess. If you're right, you earn the four rolls. If you're wrong, your opponent sees three more letters... (ding)...and takes a free guess. And in this case, the right answer is... (ding)...Woolery -- as in Chuck Woolery. Now, Kourtney and Frank, let's play for real -- with the first actual name game. (FF reveal sfx)Starting off big -- ten letters. Here's your clue. She was already on a roll -- years before Julia Roberts portrayed her in a movie. (ding)(Kourtney and Frank, please PM me with your answer and a buzz code from 1 to 100.)

No response in time from the champ... so...) (Frank buzzes in) Frank? Frank: Brockovich (dings; audience applause)That's it. Erin Brockovich. Great movie; great story. Frank, please step in the box. You're the man in control right now as we load up the game board. (FF reveal sfx; Paige poses by numbered and blocked spaces) And -- a lot of letters concealed by the numbers and the blocks. Frank, you're going to use the numbers you roll to uncover as many of the letters on our game board as you can. The numbered and blocked spaces hide letters. The letters make words that serve as clues to the identity of a person, place or thing. As you know, you may take numbers that match the numbers on, or sum of, the dice. Letters that are blocked by the question marks stay blocked until you correctly identify a clue. And remember this word of caution. Please -- do *not* roll doubles. If you throw doubles, your opponent inherits the remaining rolls in a round -- and picks up one free letter. (Korinna hands Frank the dice) Thanks, Korinna. Frank -- you -- are on a roll. (Frank rolls) (audience groans) (buzz) Well -- you were on a roll. You don't get anything for a pair. Audience: Not in this game! Frank, please go back to your side of the table. Kourtney, already, you may take one free letter. Please select one space that is not blocked.

Finishing that first word at the top with... (ding)...a J -- and in the middle... (ding)...the 4 gives us an I. Kourtney, that was the last roll of the round. You may guess one of the top two clues -- or bypass a guess and we'll play another name game.
