(dings; audience applause)That's right. Matt R., this gives you a chance to solve the overall puzzle with just that top clue exposed. If you're right, you win the game. If not, you're still in business with three rolls left.

Not going to try a guess. Very well. Roll 'em, please. (Matt R. rolls)Got a 2 and a 3... ...or a 5.

All right, every non-double roll is still makeable. (Matt R. rolls)And it's a 4 and a 5 -- or a 9. Matt R., please let me point something out. All the fours are gone. So you must take the remaining 5 at the bottom -- or either 9.

Five at the bottom and Nine in the middle.

Well -- you can't do both, I'm afraid. As I noted earlier, your only options are the remaining 5 at the bottom or either 9. Since you picked 5 at the bottom first, Rachel, please reveal that space. (Rachel touches screen) And it's a U. Matt R., would you like to guess that bottom clue -- or take the last roll of the round?

Okay, every non-double roll is still makeable. Just avoid those doubles. (Matt R. rolls)(a few groans from the crowd) And low numbers to conclude the round. A 2 and a 1... ...or a 3.

(dings; audience applause) That's it -- FAMOUS ACTOR. All right, Matt R., you now have two clues and the chance to solve the puzzle right now. If you're right, you win the game. If you're wrong or wish to bypass a guess, we move on to, dare I call it, a crucial name game. (Rachel and Myleene laugh; scattered laughter in the crowd follows)

JUDGE DREDD

Post by dougmorrisontheair on Sept 30, 2015 7:41:28 GMT -5
Judge Dredd you say... (FF reveal sfx) ...and Judge Dredd it is. Perhaps the only judge who can put Judge Judy in her place. (scattered laughter from the crowd) (Myleene places dice near Matt B.'s buzzer) Matt R., stand by, please, for your money roll with the Lucky 7 game to follow. Matt B., all is not lost. We'll see you in the second half of the match -- where we'll give you a chance to make a comeback. Right now, Myleene's going to walk you over to a comfortable chair in the front row. We'll see you later, Matt Bingel. (audience cheers) (Matt B. and Myleene walk away from the dice table arm in arm) (Matt R. takes his place in the roller's box) Matt Ringgenberg, you've won the game and the right to take the money roll. Please pick up those dice. This roll is worth $5000 a point -- and determines the maximum amount of money at stake in your Lucky 7 game. This time, it's okay if you throw doubles. And if you throw double sixes, that means a chance a $60,000. (audience cheers) So, when you're ready, Matt, please take the money roll. (Matt R. rolls) (audience cheers) Dice total 6 for $30,000. We'll be back to play that $30,000 game of Lucky 7 -- after this. (theme plays; audience cheers) (theme plays)

(audience cheers) We're back with more of On A Roll. Matt Ringgenberg has one Game 1 -- but doesn't have any money in this match. Matt, the good news is nothing is about to turn into something as we play Lucky 7 with help from -- Wally! (theme plays; audience applause) Hello, Wally. Welcome -- Matt. (scattered laughter and groans) I know you would've done that if Matt Bingel won. Wally, may we have the numbers for the Lucky 7 game, please. (FF reveal sfx)Thank you, Wally. Matt, you know how Lucky 7 works. For those who don't, here's the deal. To win the big money, Matt must eliminate those numbers, 4 through 10 inclusive, by rolling our dice. Matt, anytime the sum of your roll matches one of those numbers, that number disappears and you pocket $500. If you repeat one of those sums, you score $50 *and* you're still on a roll. Any roll of 3 or 11 is wild. That gives you the power to eliminate one of the remaining numbers *or* take a token for the car game. For solving the puzzle earlier, you already have earned... (ding)...one token. As you get on a roll, you're allowed to collect a total of four tokens. When you get down to one number on the board, Wally will then give you five tries to match that last number -- and it has to be done naturally. Matt, if you can eliminate all seven numbers, your winnings will be augmented to -- how much?

$30,000!!!

Post by dougmorrisontheair on Sept 30, 2015 21:51:43 GMT -5
(audience cheers) That's the spirit. Remember, Matt, the road to $30,000 won't be easy. Just like the main game, you want to avoid rolling doubles. Any double means one strike and you can't eliminate a number. Three strikes and the game ends -- but you keep what you've won. And every dollar is important -- because the player who scores more money in Lucky 7 returns to our next show. (Myleene hands Matt R. the dice) Thank you, Myleene. Matt -- it's time -- to get on a roll. (audience cheers) (Matt R. rolls)And a good start. Dice total 7. We say goodbye to the 7... (ding)...and you say hello to $500. Roll again. (Matt R. rolls)Oh, that again! Well that's 50 more dollars. (ding) Myleene hands you the dice again. Keep on rollin'. (Matt R. rolls)And a new sum -- an 8. (ding)Two numbers down, five to go with $1050 in your pocket. Keep on rollin'. (Matt R. rolls)(buzz)Ohhhh! First double. First strike. Okay -- at least it's out of your system. Don't roll another double -- and you'll be fine. Give 'em another roll. (Matt R. rolls)Dice total 7 again. (ding) That's another 50 bucks. Your score's up to $1100. Keep on keepin' on, Matt. (Matt R. rolls)(scattered cheers) Now we're talkin'. A 5. (ding) A sweet 1600 for you, Matt. Score will be sweeter if you can take out the remaining four numbers. Roll again, please. (Matt R. rolls)(more cheers) (cha-ching) Yo-leven. That's a wild roll -- and you have a decision to make, Matt. You may call this 11 a 4, 6, 9 or 10 -- *or* you may take a second token for Wally's Car Game. How do you play it? (audience shouts suggestions)

(mixed reaction from the crowd) Taking another token for the car game. Perhaps he has a feeling about the dice. Wally, please give Matt another token. (ding) And it looks like Wally's trying to tell us something. "I would have picked..." "...Bill McDee to block." (audience laughs) I like the strategy, the game and celeb you reference, Wally. I don't think that's gonna help Matt *here*. In any event, Matt, $1600 and still four numbers to go for thirty large. Myleene's put the dice back in your hands. Roll 'em. (Matt R. rolls) (buzz) (audience groans) Rut-roh, Rorge. Second double. One more and you're done. (scattered cheers; some say, "Come on, Matt!") Let's avoid that third double, Matt. (Matt R. rolls)Another 8. (ding) Another 50 for your score. Myleene returns your dice to you. Think 4, 6, 9 or 10 sans double. (Matt R. rolls) (cha-ching) (audience cheers) All right, another wild roll. The 3 this time. Think this over carefully, Matt. You haven't cleared any number since your last wild roll -- and the more of those numbers you take out, the better your chances of repeating as champ. Plus you're one double away from having this Lucky 7 game end. So -- would you like to take out the 4, 6, 9 or 10 -- or improve your odds of winning a new set of wheels with a third token? (audience shouts suggestions)

(scattered cheers) Gonna take out a number this time. (ding) (scattered laughter and groans from the crowd) And -- ohh -- a pun from Wally. Moving right along. Roll again, please, Matt. (Matt R. rolls)(annoyed grunt from Doug) (bust buzzer; audience groans; CC losing horns) Another double 3 -- and that concludes matters. Sorry about that. (scattered laughter from the crowd) Wally is on the ball, I'll say that. Well, Matt, it's not $30,000 -- but you got $2150. That's the high score for the day. Now you have a chance to win much more. Tiffany, please tell our champ what he's playing for now. Tiffany: Matt, that can be gas money for -- (game board moves stage left to reveal Rachel standing next to prize) -- A NEW CAR! (car theme plays; audience cheers) Tiffany: That's right, it's a Mercedes-Benz CLS550 Coupe. This luxurious ride has the Premium 1 Package plus high performance tires, leather/wood steering wheel and much more. This fantastic car is worth $79,735. Good luck, Matt. Thanks, Tiffany. And you have two tries at that car as we set up for Wally's car game. Wally, may we have the numbers, please. (FF reveal sfx) Thanks, Wally. Matt, Wally has randomly hidden the word "car" behind one of those numbers. Find it with one of your two tokens -- and you win that car. Which numbered screens would you like to pick?

All right, Wally, please cover the numbers 5 and 7. (ding) We'll check 5 first. If Wally hid the word "car" in number 5, you have a Mercedes in your garage. What's in screen number 5? (bust buzzer; audience groans) No. Not there. Don't despair. If 7's a lucky number in the car game, you get that Mercedes. Wally, is it in screen number 7? (bust buzzer; audience groans; CC losing horns) Ahhh -- darn it. Well, Wally, where'd ya hide it? (ding) (scattered groans) Should've thought of 3 as the magic number. Well -- if you win the next game, you'll have another shot at the car. Meantime, Wally, please crunch the numbers and give this man some good news. (audience cheers) Total winnings on our show -- $8550. Matt Bingel would like to get in on the winnings -- and, to be more specific, score more than $2150 in Lucky 7. Meet us back at the dice table for Game 2 of On A Roll -- after this. (theme plays; audience cheers; jib cam takes various shots of the audience)

(audience cheers) Welcome back to On A Roll. We're about to start Game 2. First, let's set the stage. Matt Ringgenberg won Game 1 and scored $2150 in Lucky 7. Matt Bingel, you'll have to win Game 2 and then score more than $2150 in order to become the new champion. Our guest models from the U.K. have traded places. Myleene Klass, singer and model, will be operating the game board for Game 2. Joining Matt, Matt and me here at the table is the math wiz from "Countdown", Rachel Riley. Players, we'll load up the game board in just a moment. But first, we're starting the second half of the match with a new name game for control of the dice. (FF reveal sfx)Eight letters in this famous person's last name -- and here's your clue. He was on a roll with Penn State -- and then he ended up in a state pen. (FF reveal sfx)
[Matt and Matt, please PM me a buzz code from 1-100 and your answer.]

[NOTE FROM DOUG: Matt R. elected to pass. So...] (Matt B. buzzes in) Matt Bingel? Matt B.: Sandusky (dings; audience applause)That's it. The less said about how and why Jerry Sandusky is in the state pen the better. Matt B., please step into the box because you get first crack at uncovering some letters as we load up our game board. (FF reveal sfx; Myleene poses by numbered and blocked spaces) And we have an inverted way of word positioning, of sorts. Three words at the top, two in the second row and just one word at the bottom row. (Doug hands Matt B. the dice) Dice are now yours -- and you are on a roll. (Matt B. rolls)And the first roll is a 2 and a 3... ...or a 5.
