Welcome to the 12th episode of On A Roll. Before we start, some notes are in order.
\ Matt Ringgenberg returns with one match win and $5400 in cash.
\ We're looking for a challenger. The player closest to the right answer, high or low, plays against against Matt.
\ Minor rule change: If a player has already won a new car, the post-Lucky 7 game will be played for a getaway vacation. Winning a car and a trip means further post-Lucky 7 games are played for cash.
Now let's find that challenger. The player closest to the right answer, high or low, plays against Matt.
Before the show, one of our guest models rolled five British money dice one time. On these money dice, the numbers 1 through 6 were replaced with, respectively, 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p and 50p. How much money did she score with the money dice? Please respond in pounds and pence (to clarify, 100p = £1.00) and make sure your answer is higher than 4p and lower than £2.51.
(Don't worry if you can't type the British pound sterling symbol. I'll know what you're talking about).
This game operates on 24-hour deadlines. Please PM me your answer in 24 hours from now.

(time passes) All right, let's see what she rolled. (clip rolls of guest model rolling the British money dice down the Let 'Em Roll ramp) Five different denominations for a total of 78p -- or £0.78, if you'd like. Anyhoo, who's the closest? £0.64 mrb2000Matt Bingel. Hey now, it's a match-up of the Matts -- after station identification. Staff announcer: Join us for the local report -- tonight at 9:55. (vamp to opening theme)Tiffany Phillips: Ours is a... letters game as well as a...numbers game -- *but* there's ...no conundrum to unscramble here. The British are coming to play -- ON A ROLL!!! (opening theme plays; audience cheers) (opening theme plays; audience cheers) Joining us at the game board, from "Countdown", is Rachel Riley. Our dice girl for Game 1 is singer and model Myleene Klass. And here's our host, ready to get on a roll, Doug Morris!(more cheers; Doug enters from behind the red neon chevrons) Thank you, Tiffany and helloooooooo, everybody. Welcome to our second episode of the new season for On A Roll. Great to have, as our guest models, from across the pond -- Rachel and Myleene. (audience cheers) For the benefit of those not familiar with your work, Myleene, tell us how you achieved fame and fortune back in the U.K. Myleene: Thank you -- I auditioned for our version of "Popstars" in 2001 and became part of the group Hear'Say. I've since been a presenter on British TV shows and have even been a guest of "Countdown's" dictionary corner with Susie Dent. Including -- if I'm not mistaken -- about half a dozen episodes of a tournament of champions. Myleene: Yes -- including the grand final of the 68th series. Quite exciting I'd imagine. Now, while Myleene appears on "Countdown" on occasion, Rachel, over there at the game board, has been part of the long running game show since 2009. Rachel, I must say, I'm always impressed on how you manage to find the solutions to the numbers game. Rachel: Well -- helps to have an honours degree in maths from Oxford University. Oh -- so you're saying you'd have to have smarts to play the game. (scattered laughter from crowd) Rachel: (laughs and nods) It helps. All I'm gonna say about that is a certain relative of mine would have better luck on that show than I would -- both letters, numbers *and* that anagram, a.k.a. the conundrum. Again, Rachel, Myleene, great to have you here -- and it's also great to have -- today's rollers join us. (theme plays; audience applause) Matt Ringgenberg and Matt Bingel join Myleene and myself at the dice table. On the last show, Matt became our new champion and won $5400. (audience applause) Matt, we learned the last time out you work at a grocery store back in Iowa, where you live. I have to ask -- do 5400 bucks represent about a year's worth of groceries?

Well -- it's not time to play the music -- but one of you will be lighting the lights as we play On A Roll. To gain control of the dice, all you have to do is win a name game. We'll play an example from the last show. (FF reveal sfx) This is a famous person's seven-letter last name. I'd then give you a clue about why this person was or is still famous -- or, "on a roll" -- and then reveal three letters in the name. In this example, the clue reads... He got on a roll -- when he hosted Nickelodeon's "Double Dare". (ding) When three letters pop in, just like they did here, signal and tell us the famous last name. The correct answer gives you four rolls of the dice; a wrong answer means your opponent gets a free guess *plus*.... (ding) ...three more letters. And the correct answer here is... (ding) ...Summers -- as in Marc Summers. Now that you know how it works, Matt and Matt, here's your actual first name game. (FF reveal sfx) Nine letters in this person's last name and here's your clue. He got on a roll -- when he won his first election for Prime Minister of Israel. (ding) (Matt and Matt, please PM me your buzz code from 1-100 as well as your answer.)

84 mringgenberg 51 mrb2000 14 random.org (Matt B. buzzes in) Matt Bingel. Matt B.: Netanyahu (dings; audience applause) That's it. Benjamin Netanyahu. Matt B., please let me hand you the dice -- because you've just earned four rolls. You're going to use the dice to uncover letters on our game board. In fact, let's go ahead and load it up. (FF reveal sfx; Rachel poses by numbered and blocked spaces) Rachel standing next to numbers. What else is new? (audience and Rachel laugh) In any event, Matt, those numbered and blocked spaces hides letters. The letters make up words. Notice we have two words in each row. Each row serves as a clue. The clues lead to the identity of a person, place or thing. With the numbers you roll, you're going to uncover as many letters as you can. Remember, the blocked spaces, represented by question marks, stay blocked until you correctly identify a clue. Remember also -- please -- do *not* roll doubles. Anytime one Matt rolls a double, the other Matt takes control of the dice and also picks up one free letter. So with all that, Matt Bingel -- you -- are on a roll. (scattered cheers) (Matt B. rolls)And you're starting off with a 5 and a 1. Matt B., you may have Rachel reveal any 5 and 1 on the board -- and they don't have to be on the same row -- or you may play the sum of the roll and have Rach reveal any 6. How do you play it?

Sure thing. We get... (Rachel touches screen)...a consonant. (scattered laughter) Rachel: (laughs) Really? Yes really and ... (Rachel touches screen)...a vowel. To be more specific, an R and an E respectively. Matt B., you may guess the top or middle clue -- or roll again. Remember, players, if you're ever wrong on a guess of a clue or the overall puzzle, you don't lose control of the dice.

All right. Myleene gives you the dice again. Let's see what you get this time. (Matt B. rolls) (buzz) (audience groans) Darn -- two twos. Sorry, Matt, but you don't get anything for a pair. Audience: Not in this game. Myleene: They did tell us you made Brucie's catch phrase a part of this series. Greg and I have admired his work for years. Matt R., step into the box please. You take over the remaining two rolls of the round. But first... ...you're entitled to one free letter. Please select any numbered space on the board.

59 mringgenberg 57 mrb2000 97 random.org (Matt Ringgenberg buzzes in) Matt R.? Matt R.: Brewster (dings; audience applause) Yes indeed. Jordana Brewster was also on a roll during the criminally short-lived revival of "Dallas". Okay, champ, step in the box, please, as Myleene hands you the dice. You're on a roll. (Matt R. rolls)Starting this round off with a 4 and a 3... ...or, dare I call it, a furious 7. (scattered laughter from the crowd)
