(buzz buzz)All right. Two rolls left in this round. Make 'em count. (Matt rolls)(buzz) (audience groans) That counts as a double. Sorry about that, Matt. We have another changing of the rollers. Jon, before you take the last roll of the round, take a free letter.

Is there a black cat in the studio? (scattered laughter from the crowd) Matt, step in the box if you'd like. No rolls left -- but you do get another free letter.

ADAM & EVE

(scattered applause) For the game -- is it -- Adam & Eve? (dings; SCSD win theme plays; audience cheers)Nailed it! And on one clue, Matt. That was a quick game -- and if I may say, an unusual game. Matt misses the name game, Jon capitalizes and then three out of the game's only four rolls were doubles. That meant control was bouncing around. Let's go ahead and reveal the rest of the clues, please. (FF reveal sfx)Adam and Eve spent a lot of time in the Garden of Eden, they were certainly the first couple and their story is well documented in The Bible. (Erin places dice near Matt's buzzer) Matt, please stand by for your money roll. Jon, the best thing I know to tell you is this. If doubles crop up early and often in Matt's Lucky 7 game, there's a chance we'll see you on the next show. For now, Erin will walk you to a comfortable chair in contestants' row. We'll see you at the end of the show, Jon Darrall. (audience cheers) All right, Matt, please take those dice -- because it's time for your money roll. This roll determines the maximum payoff if you conquer your Lucky 7 game. This roll is worth $5000 times the sum of the numbers. Bigger the numbers the better. So give 'em a roll, please. (Matt rolls)(scattered applause; a few groans) Oh, man, another 3. Well, another $15,000 game is ahead. Matt will play for 15 grand and a new car -- when you come back to the dice table. (theme plays; audience cheers) (theme plays)

Welcome back to On A Roll. Matt's about to try his hand at Lucky 7 for the big money. Matt, we want to save some time at the end for something special -- so we're going to dive right into your Lucky 7 game shortly. During the break, Wally already set up everything you need for your Lucky 7 game as well as the car game to follow. The numbers 4 through 10 are the sums you need to roll to score money. $500 for each sum you clear; repeat a sum and it's $50. Rolls of 3 and 11 are wild -- giving you the power to clear any number on the board or take a token. Speaking of tokens, notice Wally spotted you two tokens -- one comes from winning Game 2 and the other comes from solving the puzzle with just one clue fully exposed. Wally also points out the bottom line is you must score at least $1000 in Lucky 7. Win more than a thousand bucks and you become our new champion. Score exactly $1000 and the match ends in a tie; you and Jon then return to the next show. Anything less than $1000 from now until the car game -- means you'll set sail on a ferry, one way, toward the island of consolation prizes. (scattered laughter from the crowd) But on the side of the spectrum, if you clear out all seven sums, you'll win -- how much money?

(audience cheers)Good luck, Matt. Jon cleared only two numbers. Can you do better? Let's find out. Take the dice -- because you're on a roll. (Matt rolls) (buzz) (loud groans from the crowd) Yikes! And the parade of doubles resumes. First strike. Erin returns your dice to you. Try 'em again, please. (Matt rolls)(scattered cheers) That's more like. The 6 and 3 make the 9 go away. (ding) $500 for you. Halfway to punching a return trip to the next show. Roll again, please. (Matt rolls)(scattered cheers) And it's a 4 and 1. The 5 disappears. (ding) Matt, avoid a double here and you become the new champion. Jon, if you know any good hexes, now's the time to perform them. Are we going to have a new champion? (Matt rolls)(scattered cheers) Yes we are. The 8 goes away. (ding) And -- Wally called it. It's all gravy from here. You have fifteen hundred -- and you're at least four good rolls away from fifteen *thousand*. Roll again, please. (Matt rolls)(louder cheers) The 5 and 1 deep six the 6. (ding) Down to three sums, Matt. Let's see you roll a 4, 7 or 10. (Matt rolls)Okay, a 5. No worries. That's $50 more for you. (ding) Up to $2050. You're definitely on a roll now. Erin returns your dice to you. Roll again. (Matt rolls)(cha-ching) (more cheers) And it's decision time with the wild roll of 11. Now -- you know you're the new champ, Matt. Would you like to clear the 4, 7 or 10 and bank more money -- *or* -- would you like to improve your chances of winning that Mercedes?

Taking a third token. Very well. (ding) You'll get to cover at least three numbers in the car game. But let's go after more money. A 4, 7 or 10 would be nice. (Matt rolls)(audience cheers) That's one of those nice rolls. A 7 for another $500. (ding) Now we have the toughies left -- 4 and 10. You've been on quite the roll since that double, Matt. Keep it up. (Matt rolls) (cha-ching) (more cheers) Another yo-leven. And the choice got a tad more interesting. Would you like to take out the 4, take out the 10 or max out on the tries on the car and take your fourth and final token? (audience shouts suggestions) Remember, if you take out a number, Wally activates the countdown timer -- giving you as many as five tries to naturally roll the number you leave up there.

Somehow I'm not surprised. (ding) (scattered laughter from the crowd) And -- Wally notes you've reached your limit of tokens. Let's focus on getting more money now, Matt. (Matt rolls)And you've already taken out a 5 so -- (ding) -- you're up to $2600. Roll 'em again. Four, ten or wild roll is what you're looking for. (Matt rolls)A 7. That's another 5. (ding) Come onnnn, 4, 10 or wild. (Matt rolls)(audience cheers) There we go -- a 10. (ding) You're up to $3150 -- and now... (alarm goes off) ...enemy's been spotted at twelve o'clock. (scattered laughter from the crowd) No, that just means Wally's shutdown timer is activated. You now have... ...five rolls of the dice to naturally roll a 4. Doubles still count as strikes -- meaning you could strike out before the five rolls are up. If you strike out or run out of rolls, you'll still come out at least $3150 ahead. Erin's returned your dice to you. Good luck, champ. (Matt rolls)And you've already cleared the 9. $50 more. (ding) Avoid those doubles. Let's get that 1 and 3. (Matt rolls)A 1 and a 5 instead. (ding) Three more shots at it. Come onnnnnnn 1 and 3. (Matt rolls)(scattered moans) A 1 and 6 instead. (ding) Up to $3300. You still have just the one strike against you -- so you're assured of rolling two more times. Let's get that 1 and 3, Matt! (Matt rolls)(scattered moans) Got a 4 on one of those cubes. That doesn't count. (ding) All right, Matt. No more messing around. It's either you get that 1 and 3 for $15,000 or you pocket as much as $50 more. Audience, help him out, please, by chanting the numbers he needs to win the big money. One... three... one... three.. Audience: One... three... one... three... one... three... one... three... I'm whipping them up in a frenzy, Matt. Hop to it! (audience still chants, "One... three... one... three... one... three... one... three... one... three... one... three... one... three... one... three... one... three... one... three... one... three... one... three...") (Matt rolls)(buzz; audience groans)The 4 and 2 conclude Lucky 7. (ding)

Didn't get the $15,000. But, Matt, you scored more than enough money to become the new champion. Now let's top off a fine win with a new car. Wally, may we have the numbers for the car game, please? (FF reveal sfx)Wally's hidden the word "car" behind just one of those screens. You get to cover up to four screens with the tokens you've earned. Cover the screen that has the car and you win that Mercedes. All at once, please pick four screens, Matt.

Well -- the bad news is you didn't cover screen #2 with a token. The good news is you're the new champion. You won $3400 in Lucky 7. Those losing screens from the car game are worth $500 each. Wally, please crunch those numbers and show us how much money Matt has after one match win. (audience cheers) $5400. We'll all regroup and tell you where we go from here -- when On A Roll returns. (audience cheers) (Doug is standing on the left side of the dice table; Jon and Matt stand along the right side of the table) Welcome back to On A Roll -- and our final moments with our outgoing champion, Jon Darrall. Jon, you played well today. You just ran into a buzzsaw. Doubles came up early and often in your Lucky 7 game and the second main game. But you're taking home a lot of cash and three cars. They all add up to $571,540. (audience cheers) I would shake hands to congratulate you -- but there's tremendous distance between us right now. There's a reason for that -- which we'll get to shortly. Matt Ringgenberg, you're the new champ. You'll be back on our next show to build on your winnings of $5400. (audience cheers) And now -- for something -- well -- not *quite* completely different -- but something fun, I hope. We have created a series of audience games for On A Roll -- which you'll see in the days and weeks to come. We're going to test drive one of those games right now -- with someone familiar. Our special guest roller is backstage with our guest models, CariDee and Erin. So -- folks, come join us as the dice table, please. (theme plays; audience cheers) (Erin, the special guest and CariDee walk from behind the game board and stop at the players' area -- with the guest already in the roller's box) (audience gives guest roller standing ovation)
