Not sure if this needs to go here or not, so if not, mods please feel free to move to the appropriate location.
As you know, I am currently hosting Jeopardy!, and in the giving of responses, I simply take the first player that posts a question. My question is: is this the best way, or would the "buzzcode method" (PM a buzzcode from 1-100; closest get the first crack) be better? I like both methods, but I know they both have their cons. Just looking for input, or even better ideas, that way I can work out all of the kinks for the next episode. Thanks!

While it may seem more fair to do buzzcodes, I personally prefer the way you are doing it now. It's more true to the actual show itself, a "first come first serve" kind of deal.
It makes it more enjoyable for me, the viewer, rather than have to wait for buzzcodes.
One time I did Jeopardy and I had the players send me buzzcodes in advance. That idea did not work well either because a few times the player who "rang in" first ordinarily would not have done so, given the difficulty of the clue.
I think it's fine as is. The only thing I would like to see if possible are more visuals (scoreboard podiums, gameboard).
I have very much liked seeing your clues being done to resemble that of the show itself! Bravo on that!

Thanks, Bill! Much appreciated. I can and have done visuals in the past, but I don't have as much time on my hands as I used to, so it's a bit more difficult and would make the game go on much longer. I may see about implementing graphics in the future, I'm just not sure when that will be yet.
