And to go with a 10, what do we have Lily? An 8 of Hearts... Raymond, you can freeze at this point and protect your score, or continue playing. If you continue and the next card you receive is more than a 3, you'll go over and Darion will win game #1. Freeze or continue Raymond?

I will freeze.

Raymond will freeze on 18, much to nobody's amazement I dare say... Raymond, if that holds up, you will win another $900 plus the dishwasher and you will get to play our newer "Beat the Dealer" game which debuted on last evening's show where $3,000 in cash could be won! Darion, in order for you to win, you will need a score of 19, 20 or 21. No ties on Gambit PM so if you end up with an 18, you will have to earn another card. All cards must be earned Darion. One incorrect answer or if your time expires (48 hours from the moment the question is posted) before you answer, Raymond will win the game automatically. First question Darion to earn your next card... WHAT FAMOUS AMERICAN LANDMARK IS LOCATED IN THE BLACK HILLS OF SOUTH DAKOTA?

Correct for another $100 Darion! (applause) Here comes your next card, Lily? A big old King of Spades, he's worth 10 of course... Now the score is 18 12, not a very good year for America! Darion, you'll need a 7 or better to win game 1, but not more than a 9. Let's see if you can earn that next card... A CURRENT EVENT, MISS PIGGY & KERMIT THE FROG JUST BROKE UP. THIS QUESTION RELATES TO THEM... WHAT IS THE LAST NAME OF THE MAN WHO IS MOST CLOSELY ASSOCIATED WITH CREATING THE MUPPETS?

The late, great Jim Henson is correct! (applause) Incidentally a bit of trivia. Did you know that both Jim Henson and Sammy Davis, Jr. died on the same exact day? May 16, 1990. Hard to believe more than a quarter of a century ago... A 7, 8 or 9 will win you game #1 Darion. Lily, show us the next card please. (gasps in the audience) Darion, that now gives you 18 as well, but since Raymond owns that number already, you must continue playing. Now Darion is hoping for an Ace, a deuce or a trey for his next card. Anything more than a 3 and he will go over, giving game 1 to Raymond. First, this question must be answered successfully to earn that next card. Darion... And it's still one of my all-time favorites! With that hurdle cleared Darion, you now have a more difficult hurdle facing you. This next card WILL determine the winner of this first game. If it's anything less than a 4, you will win, anything higher than a 3 and Raymond will take game #1. Lily, what do you have for Darion? picosong.com/fTwB/Too much! And the game goes to Raymond! picosong.com/3zeF/So Raymond, you just picked up another $900 in cash for a winning score of 18, plus the $550 dishwasher, so far cash and prizes totaling $1,650 and in a moment Raymond, you will be playing our new "Beat the Dealer" game for a chance at more bonus cash. Darion you scored $400, yours to keep for toss-up questions won by you. Take heart too because many's the time where the winner of game 1 of the match ended up not winning. That's why we play a best 2 out of 3 We'll take a quick time out, recoup some money for the Mothership, and continue with Gambit P.M. right after these messages of interest. Won't you please watch? Thank you!

(Fade in to applause) Here we are back with more of Gambit P.M. Raymond won game #1 and that earns him the opportunity right now to play our mini-bonus game "Beat the Dealer". The Dealer's hand is always 17 in this game. Raymond, the object here is for you to draw cards that are hidden behind 9 letters. I'll ask you for a letter, then we will reveal what is behind there. The numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 all appear once. If you can get a total of 18 to 21, you will win the $3,000. If you go over 21, you lose. If you tie the dealer with 17, you will have to pick again. Also, two of the cards up there are the Gambit P.M. logo cards, namely the Jack of Hearts and Ace of Spades. If you are able to combine those two, you will also win. Neither the Jack nor the Ace may be combined with any of the other numbers you reveal. One card is an instant loser however, and that's the pesky Gambit Jester. On our last show, the very first card selected was him when we played this. Let's not have that happen again! Raymond if you beat the dealer $3,000 is yours. If not, we'll add another $500 to the jackpot for next Monday's broadcast. Raymond, if you have no questions, please select one of the 9 letters on the Beat the Dealer board, and good luck!

Going diagonally across, skipping over E up to C... Let's "see" what C is... OH NO!!! Well that's a bummer. I am sorry Raymond. Let's reveal the rest of the board... A and H would have given you an instant win. Well, it wasn't meant to be again today, so we'll add another $500 to the jackpot, Monday night's show it will be worth $3,500! We'll take a quick time out and have everything set up for game #2 of our match between Raymond and Darion, right after this!
