Indeed there is a certain element of luck, especially with card games. Round 3 will be starting momentarily

And now once again, here's Bill McDee! (applause) That's me! And it's time now for Round 3 of Pay Cards. A recap of the scores... Matt with $850 and Darion not too far behind with $600. Okay fellas, this is Round 3, and we call this our "GIVE AND TAKE" round. This round will decide today's winner and who gets to play for a chance at thousands more in our new Royal Flush end game. Here's how this will work. Darion, since you went first in round 1, you will get to go first in this round. We won't reveal any cards ahead of time this time. Instead Darion, you will select a number, any number you wish. We will then reveal the card. I will ask you if you wish to take it or give it away to Matt. If you take it, then your turn ends, and we go to Matt. If you decide to give Matt the first card you turn up however, you will then select another number, and you will be required to keep that card. Another important thing to remember players, once either one of you completes your hand, your opponent will be forced to take any and all remaining cards they pick off of the board. Also, there are some wild cards up on that board, which will now make a 5 of a kind possible. The payouts are more too... Each pair now pays $100, we pay $250 for Three of a Kind, $500 for a Full House, $1,000 for Four of a Kind, and $200 for High Hand. Again, since this board has some wild cards on it, 5 of a Kind is possible, and that pays a whopping $1,500! So as much as $1,700 can be scored by one of you this round. Remember too, you both keep whatever you win, but the high scorer wins the day and plays Royal Flush! Darion, if you have no questions, please select a card. We'll reveal it and then I'll ask if you wish to take it or give it to Matt. Good luck players!

In this round, there is one natural 4 of a kind on the board, two sets of natural 3 on a kind, one natural pair, one single card, and three wild cards. With that knowledge Darion, do you wish to take the 5 or give it to Matt. Remember, if you give it to Matt, you must pick again and you must take the next card.

Matt gets the 5, and Darion selects number 5... For a QUEEN of Diamonds! Darion with a Queen, Matt with a 5, and Matt, the board is yours now. Still three Wild Cards up there. See if you can uncover one.

Number 9 is... The 10 of Spades. Do you want to take it Matt? If so, your turn ends and Darion picks. Or you can give it to Darion and pick again, but if so you must take the next card you uncover.

Matt takes the 10 of Spades... Now he has a couple of options working, however, five of a kind is no longer possible for you Matt. Darion, select please.

I see we're continuing to favor the left side of the gameboard 13 yields... The 4 of Clubs. Darion, do you wish to take that or give it to Matt?

And number 7 has the 7 of hearts! My goodness! Eleven cards remain, and three of them are indeed wild cards. Matt, perhaps you will uncover one this turn. What number this time Matt?

Ah, the Queen of Hearts. If you take it, it won't help your hand Matt, but if you give it to Darion, he'll have a pair of Queens. Tough decision. Do you take the Queen or give it to Darion?

Matt takes the Queen, meaning the best he can do now is one pair for himself, but trying to disrupt Darion's hand at the same time... Darion the board is yours once again. You have 3 more cards to fill in while Matt needs just one. If you give Matt this next card Darion, his hand will be complete and you will be required to pick cards to complete your hand right away. Ten cards remaining, still THREE wild cards lurking up there somewhere. Which number do you take Darion?

Number 15, hoping to pair up either the Queen or the 7... Indeed, there is another 7. Do you wish to take it Darion or give it to Matt? If you give it to Matt, while it would foul up your pair of 7's, it would complete Matt's hand and he would get nothing, since his hand would be, what is affectionately known on Pay Cards as a "lolapalooza" meaning 5 individual cards. If you do give Matt the 7 however, you will have to complete your hand and would have to keep the next three cards you selected. How do you want to play it Darion?

I have to take it at this point.

(applause) I, and the audience both agree with that. Matt, you'll want to try to pair up your 10 or Queen at this point. 9 cards left, three of them are Wild Cards believe it or not. You have a little wiggle room too, meaning you can give the next card away if you need. What number do you select Matt?

Matt that gives you a pair of 10s.
Darion, you now must keep the next 2 cards you select. All 3 wild cards are still up there.
Which 2 numbers do you take Darion?

Let us see what 14 has... The QUEEN of Spades! Darion you have 2 pair so far...and with 16... OH MY!!! The QUEEN of Clubs! FULL HOUSE for you Darion, nice going!!! And naturally done no less! Matt, you ended up with a pair, so that's another $100, giving you a grand total today of $950... But Darion, with a Full House, $500 for that plus $200 high hand, this hand is worth $700 to you, giving you a grand total of... One-Thousand Three-Hundred dollars, and a fantastic come from behind victory!!! (cheering & applause) An excellent game players. Now let's reveal the rest of the board. Three wild cards, none were found this day....where were they? There was another 7 to be had behind #2, a five under numbers 3 and 8, and there they were, 3 in a row, 10, 11 and 12 were where those elusive wild cards were lurking. Matt, spend your $950 wisely and thank you for playing Pay Cards! Darion, you came on very strongly at the end there, you have $1,300, but that's only the beginning. In a moment, Darion will play our brand new end game called Royal Flush, where he could win 25 or even 50 thousand dollars more! Back after this!!!
