Now You See It did not pan out the way I had hoped it would. I could not come up with an end game that I was satisfied with.
I want to give major thanks to Tony for some very nice visuals that he provided.
In case you haven't seen it in the "Show Your Stuff" thread, over this past weekend I did some really nice work, if you'll forgive a moment of immodesty on my part.
I'm planning on putting that new artwork to good use.
Coming soon (either later this week, or if not, by July 5th), "Break the Bank". No, not the 1985 Kline & Friends fiasco hosted by Gene Rayburn then Joe Farago, not the one with puzzles and bankcards. And not the one hosted by Bert Parks during the 1950s.
This is based on the 1976 version hosted by Tom Kennedy on daytime and Jack Barry in syndication.
There will be no celebrities, but there will be questions.
I've created a new bonus game too which I look forward to implementing.
More to come.....and this will replace NYSI on CBS when the time comes.
Bill

Awesome James. I'll let you know when it's all ready to go. I still have a lot of work to do with respect to questions, and replacing the mustache and lips with something else, since pretty much all contestants here are male, and I highly suspect none of the male contestants will want to have lips representing them on the game board!

How about a green triangle and red circle, ala Match Game.

I got something a little bit different than that, but you're kind of on my wavelength of thinking!
Thanks for the suggestion!

Here is what I have come up with to signify which player has captured which box... One player will be represented by red, the other by blue. I'm going to "trickle in" rules for the game too on these posts as well, rather than hit you all at once with a huge digest of rules. A player remains on the show until they win 5 games or lose 2 games. The first player to capture 3 like money amounts, or 2 like money amounts coupled with the wild card wins the total amount of money and the game. So 3 $500 cards = $1,500, 3 $750 cards = $2,250 and 3 $1,000 cards = $3,000. If either player captures 3 money bags, or 2 money bags plus the wild card, they will "Break the Bank" which starts at $20,000 and grows by $1,000 per game until broken. I am currently working on a new end game, similar to the Jack Barry syndicated version, but incorporating all 20 boxes, including the blanks and the money bags. The goal of the end game is to reach $5,000 or more. Doing so will win the total multiplied by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, depending on how many wins the player has. This means a player could potentially win over $100,000 in cash. Also any 5 time champions retire with a new automobile. As always, I thank you all for your feedback and your interest. More to come...

One new twist I'm adding to the game, in order to Break the Bank, when you uncover what would be your third money bag, in order to capture it, you must answer a question correctly. An incorrect answer and the box returns to its neutral position.
As before on the show, the same money amounts will touch one another on at least one side. The 5 money bags may or may not touch. The 5 blanks will never touch.
If a player is incorrect on an answer, their opponent will automatically win the box by default, unless it would give that player the win. Just like with the Marshall Hollywood Squares, you cannot win a game by default.

Bill, remember to wear sunglasses in the studio. Those lights are bright!

LOL so funny you mentioned that to me, as I was considering tinkering with my "mini me" and darkening the shades.
The glasses I actually wear do indeed tint darker when exposed to bright lights too or sunshine!

Bill, I've seen other Net Versions of BTB use an interesting mechanic when they can't have 9 "celebs." Each row and each column is represented by a certain category. When a contestant chooses a square, he is asked a question that fits in BOTH categories. An alternative to this might be to have the rows represent categories and the columns represent a letter of the alphabet (or vice versa). The square represents a question in that category with the answer starting with that letter. Just a thought as to how you might deal with the questions to introduce some sort of interesting mechanic.

The second suggestion, something like "Blockbusters". I see what you mean.
Were these ones done on the old site, or can they currently be seen elsewhere?

Nice graphics. The suggestion I made earlier was on another site, but I do not recall which one.

I have the bonus game set up now James, so you can check in when you're ready, it's in the Beta-Testing area.
Best,

I was hoping someone here would host BTB76. Best of luck with this.
Bill, please drop me a line of the wild card image *without* the W. I want to try something.
