After mulling it over for a few days, I’ve decided that I'm going to try and attempt to host a third show. And for this third show, I'm bringing back the $20,000 Pyramid! For those that might have forgotten how my version worked (or weren't present at the time), here is a rundown of the rules (and also some changes I've made since the last time I hosted this)...
Time Limits:
-1/2 a second for each word given by the clue giver.
-1 second for a guess by the receiver.
-1 second for any action done.
-1 second penalty for a pass on a word/subject.
-1 second for a cuckoo or a buzz during the Winner's Circle.
Main Game
-Players may not give the essence of the word or say/type the current word in play. (i.e.; “bed” would not be an acceptable clue for “bedroom” because of the clue having “bed” in it.)
-Players may use actions, but your actions may not include the current word in play.
-The "Big 7" Bonus is in play. This can appear in either game one or game two. It'll pay you $1,000 for guessing all seven words.
-If either team scores a perfect score (aka 21 points), they'll receive a $1,000 bonus.
-Players will switch celebrity partners after the first Winner's Circle.
-If you pass on a word, you may not go back to it, regardless of how much time is left. (Just like the original series)
Winner's Circle:
-A contestant's first attempt is worth $10,000.
-If a contestant wins the $10,000 on their first attempt and wins the second game of the day, their second trip to the W.C. is also worth $10,000. (So they'd have a total of $20,000 if they were to make it through all six subjects on this second trip)
-If a contestant doesn't win the $10,000 on their first attempt but manages to win the second game of the day, their second trip to the Winner’s Circle is worth $20,000. (If they win here, their winnings are technically augmented to $20,000, because of adding whatever money they earned during their first Winner's Circle attempt to whatever amount would give them an even $20,000)
-The Clue Giver can only give a list, no prepositions or direct synonyms of the subject/clue. (Obviously, exceptions regarding the preposition rule apply for a subject like "What X Might Say" or something like that.)
-The Clue Giver’s clues must be related to the subject/category.
-Payouts for the Winner Circle are $100 (x3), $200 (x2) and $300 (x1).
-The only actions allowed by the clue giver during this round are nods and head shakes. The clue giver may also use bold, italics, or underlines (or all three of those) while giving clues.
Miscellaneous:
-Champions can stay on for 5 days.
-Any bonus money won from the Big 7 or a perfect game is just that. It does not impact the score used to determine the champion of the day (if both of the players each win one game but fail to win $10,000 in the Winner's Circle.)
-Regarding the augmented total part from above, the bonus money from the Big 7 or a perfect score is not included in that. That means a contestant could potentially win $23,000 in one day (if they manage to win their winner circle(s), get a perfect score of 21 points during both games and get all 7 words during the Big 7 bonus)
-If a tie occurs, the scores are set back to zero and one member of each team has to describe a series of seven words all beginning with a certain letter. Once the first team has completed their tie breaker, the second team does the same but they're only given the amount of time it took the first team to complete their seven words.
Wow! That was definitely a mouthful! With everything said above, I need two celebrities and two contestants!
(If you sign up, please specify if you want to be a contestant or a celebrity, thank you
)
(Also, if you have any questions, please ask! Especially because I may have forgotten something in my lengthy ramble/rundown
