Hello everyone! Even though I'm only on my 5th episode of this second incarnation of Wheel 1975, I figured I'd still share my upcoming plans and changes for the series.
Episodes 6-10:
- $100 will become the minimum on the wheel.
- $200 will become the house minimum for solving a puzzle.
- $500, $750 and $1,000 will remain the top dollar values.
- Starting on episode 8 or 9, round 2 will get a different layout (where $750 is still the TDV)
Episode 11:
- On this episode, I'll use the TDV/round structure that the show was using by July of 1975. So this means the TDV in round 1 is $500 and then for round 2 (and beyond) it'll be $1,000.
- This means that the second Lose a Turn wedge and the second Buy a Vowel wedge will now be gone.
Episodes 12, 13 and 14:
- These three episodes will be using the "hour-long" format and layouts. (More specifically, the November 3-7, 1975 hour long era; which means the TDVs will be $1,000, $2,000 and $2,500. $2,500 will also be the TDV for the head-to-head round that the two winners will play.)
- 6 contestants will play each episode.
- There will be 2 games played during these episodes, with 3 contestants playing in each. The winners of each game will play a special head-to-head playoff round.
- The winner of episode 12 will come back on episode 15, the same will apply to the winners of episode 13 and 14.
- Unlike the actual hour-long episodes, the players will just play for cash.
Episode 15:
- The show reverts back to a half-hour show.
- The three winners from the hour-long specials come back on this episode to compete for $250,000 in cash, a brand new car and a luxury cruise. (I think the value of all three of these prizes will be close to/over $500,000)
- The TDVs will be $500, $1,000 and $1,500.
- This will be a three round game, with no speed-up.
- Like the hour-long episodes mentioned above, the three players will play for cash.
Episode 16 and after:
- Shopping returns!
- The TDVs remain at $500, $1,000 and $1,500
- Buy A Vowel will be gone!
- Technically, this means that the show will be in the 1976 era.
That's most, if not all, of what I have planned. Whenever we get to those episodes, I'll definitely be sure to explain more about the changes and whatnot.
(I also do have plans for a Net Game Host/Celebrity special using the hour-long layouts and probably the format of that era, as well. I just don't know when I'll do that.)
