Mark, you'll need 18 or more, without going over 21 to win Game 2 and the match. One incorrect answer or one missed deadline and Matt will tie up this match at a game apiece. First question for you Mark... BO DEREK AND DUDLEY MOORE STARRED IN THIS 1980 FILM WITH A NUMERICAL TITLE. NAME THE FILM.

Indeed it would! Lynn, if the next card you turn up is an Ace, we'll have a new champion... (gasps from the audience) Speaking of Tens... That now gives you a total of 17 as well Mark, but there are no ties on Gambit, you must beat 17 since Matt owns that number. Next question... THIS AUTHOR, WHOSE FIRST NAME WAS WASHINGTON, WROTE "RIP VAN WINKLE". WHAT IS HIS LAST NAME?

Right again Mark! (applause) Not much wiggle room here for you Mark, but even if the next card Lynn deals up for you puts you over, you have the Power Marker and will get another card immediately. Lynn, let's see it... TWENTY-ONE YET AGAIN!!!!!!!! picosong.com/4U4j/I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!! Mark, congratulations on your THIRD 21 in a row! You are a MAGNIFICENT card cutter! $1,050 for the 21, since we pay $50 times the winning score, plus $1,000 for the Any 21 Jackpot, plus the prize, the waterfall, so far Mark...your total in cash and prizes is... $11,050! But wait, there's more! For winning the match, you've just also won THIS prize, Frank? picosong.com/9LQ9/Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): It's a new jukebox! (cheers & applause) Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): From Rock-Ola, the first name in jukeboxes proudly presents the nostalgic bubbler featuring bubble tubes, kaleidescopic lights, fine cabinetry of exotic woods with chrome-plated accents and so much more… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Retail value, $6,500! (more cheering & applause) So far $17,550 for you Mark! And a trip to the Gambit Board in a moment for a chance at a car and ONE MILLION DOLLARS! And the way you're going Mark, it wouldn't surprise me in the LEAST if you did it! Matt, well, what can I say? Another $425 in cash for this game, added to all you won previously, gives you a grand total of... $32,125 in cash and prizes! A nice round of applause for a fine outgoing champion, Matt Ringgenberg! Thank you Mark.
Now here's how this is going to work.
To win $1,000,000, you have to meet three criteria, and it's not going to be easy.
Win, lose, or draw, after your Gambit Board bonus game is completed, you will attempt to win that new Cadillac that Frank just described.
At this time Mark, I want you to pick your Million Dollar Card. Any card of the 52.
If you score exactly 21 in any combination at the Gambit Board, and your 21 includes the card you predict will be in your winning hand, then you will have a 1 in 6 chance at ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!!
So Mark, please select which card you believe will be a part of your hand, indicate both the rank and the suit.

8 of Spades is all we require actually. Let's record that now... Okay, so if you get 21, and the 8 of Spades is part of YOUR hand that adds up to 21, you will have a 1 in 6 chance at $1,000,000!!! Meantime let's build up the Gambit Board jackpot Mark. Select a number from 1 to 21 and we'll get started!

Number 15 right beside me, and that has... (ding) Double Your Money!!! (applause) So we double the $5,000 in the Gambit Board Jackpot, now it's worth at least $10,000 if you can beat the House. Lynn, deal up the first card, we would soooooooooooooooooooooooo love for it to be the 8 of Spades... No, a 3 of Clubs that time... That gives you 3. And because you won 2 games in the match and didn't use any up, you now have TWO Power Markers here at the Gambit Board which you may use if a card puts you over 21. Meantime, we're going to have Lynn deal an up card for the House and... (cheering & applause) Well if it isn't Dr. House himself, Hugh Laurie!!! (applause) (Hugh walks over and sits in the chair for "The House") Hugh is our resident "villain" here now at the Gambit Board representing the "House" since he portrayed Dr. House on the FOX series "House". Lynn, deal up House's first card... A 6, NOT a good card for the House! Hugh: "No matter mate, I'm going to win tonight!" (audience boos) Mark, once you reach a score of 12 or more, I will give you the option to freeze or continue. If a card puts you over 21, you'll lose a Power Marker and get another card immediately. If you are out of Power Markers and you go over 21, you will win nothingl If you score 21 exactly you will win the Gambit Board Jackpot plus the Any 21 Jackpot and the House won't even get any more cards. If you freeze, the House will keep receiving cards until it gets to 17 or more. If the house beats you, you win nothing. If you beat the house, you win the Gambit Board Jackpot. Right now you only have 3, so go ahead Mark and select another number please from the Gambit Board.

Number 5... Hugh Laurie "Of COURSE he selected 5, there are FIVE letters in "HOUSE"". Moving right along... (ding) $1,500 more into the Gambit Board Jackpot, shooting for $11,500 right now Mark. And oh how we'd not only love to see an EIGHT right now, but an eight of SPADES!!! Lynn? Well speaking of fives, there's a 5 of clubs for you Mark... You're doing just fine. HUGH LAURIE - "Says you Tuxedo man"... (laughter in the audience) I gave up part of my salary to hire this guy, for THIS?!?!?! (laughing) Pick again Mark!

Number 11

Post by billmcdee on Jun 23, 2015 13:41:36 GMT -5
Number 11 has... (ding) Wow FOUR thousand dollars!!! Jackpot is now at $15,500! Next card please Lynn... (mumbling and stirring in the audience) Wow another low card, another 5 in fact... The next card could put you over, however you have TWO power markers to safeguard you. You can freeze if you wish, as the house must keep drawing until getting to 17 or more. Interestingly enough, an 8 would give you exactly 21. Therefore, if you continue on and the next card is the 8 of Spades, you would have 21, you would have the 8 of Spades in your hand, and you would have a 1 in 6 chance at One MILLION dollars, plus the Cadillac. Very interesting situation to put it mildly. Do you want to freeze, or play on Mark? (audience yelling suggestions) If you decide to play on, please tell me which number you'd like to select next from our Gambit Board. Still have both halves of a $25,000 check up there amongst other things....

Lucky 7 it is, and a shout out to "The Price is Right" with that Lucky 7 reference!!! (ding) Well talk about ESP! There's one half of that check! In order to hang onto it Mark, you will need to beat the house. Still trying to win $15,500 and a shot at $1,000,000. Lynn, we need an 8 of Spades!!!!!! Oh, well that won't do. One power marker down... Once again, let's think 8 of Spades....come on cards! Lynn? (applause) Hey that's alright, a 7! Giving you 20... Going to freeze there I assume Mark?
|
|
|
Post by GameShowNetwork on Jun 23, 2015 13:56:45 GMT -5
You assume correctly. I am freezing right there on the 20

Lynn will put the freeze bar up... Now to see if you'll win here... Lynn, start dealing cards to complete the House's hand.... HUGH LAURIE - "That's DOCTOR House to you host man..." He has 14. A 7 would beat you Mark. A 6 would tie you. In the event of a tie you would still win half of the Jackpot. That would be $7,750. Lynn, let's see the next card please... Just need an 8 or higher to bust the House... Torture! House gets another card. Come on, let's see a BIG one now! A 9, picosong.com/fTwB/ TOO MUCH!!!!!!!!! Mark you just won $15,500!!!!!!!!! picosong.com/3zeF/Plus half of that $25,000 check, but I must admit you are slacking. After 3 wins with three 21s earlier, now you win with "only" a 20 Congratulations on that. Hugh, any last words? HUGH LAURIE: I'd tip my hat to you young man, except I'm not wearing one. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Hugh Laurie!!!!!!! (applause) Well now that you have three prizes plus a whole lot of cash, let's get you a car so you can put some of that stuff in there and drive on home! Six letters, and hidden behind 1 is the Cadillac symbol. If you select it, I will hand you over the keys to that $50,000 automobile, but then I will ask you for a decision. Which letter, G, A, M, B, I or T do you select Mark?
