Champion Matt Ringgenberg is back to try to win his third match. His first two matches were both pretty wild and came down to a sudden death tie-breaker.
I have posted a complete set of updated rules on the Net Game Announcements, along with a new $1,000,000 game starting with this episode.
This episode will actually start either tomorrow (Friday, June 19th) or the day after tomorrow (Saturday, June 20th).
Also, for now, Gambit P.M. is the only game I will be hosting. I'm actually trying to come up with a second game. I have one in mind, but want to work out more details and do some mock versions of it on my own before presentig it to the "masses" here.
Thank you.
Bill

I don't think I've ever played any version of Gambit. Therefore, I shall be happy to take on the task of attempting to dethrone Matt

Awesome stuff Mark. The best part of my show is no buzzcodes to worry about either. I just use a Yahtzee handheld game to determine who "buzzed" in first for a question.
Complete rules are listed in the announcements section. I'll let you both know when we'll begin. I have some stuff still to work on for the show "behind the scenes" as it were so most likely we'll start this episode on Saturday.

Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): And now, from the Bob Barker Studio at CBS Television City in Hollywood, here's your Master of Ceremonies for this evening… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Bill McDee! That's me! We've had a lot of excitement in the air during our first dozen broadcasts of "Gambit PM", the game of BlackJack with a brain, but starting tonight, oh how the excitement and anticipation will build! Our Any 21 Jackpot has not been hit in some time for our main games as well as at the Gambit Board. We have a Cadillac as our car now, but most of all....MOST of all, someone MIGHT win One MILLION dollars here tonight! (wild cheers & applause)

And while we've made some changes to try to improve our game, one thing that has stayed the same thankfully is our charming hostess and dealer, she's a delight, and she's also my darling niece, say hello to our very own keeper of the cards, Lynn Jennings! (applause & cheers) Good evening Lynn! And good evening to you Uncle Bill, ladies and gentlemen here and watching us at home. Bill (off camera): Lynn, let's get right down to business and let's give away $1,000,000 on our very first night that we have it available! Lynn: Sounds good to me! picosong.com/q789/First, tonight's challenger, his interests include Black Light Theatre, please welcome Mark Liotta! (applause) And our two night champion is a cheerleader in Special Olympics, and is a grocery store courtesy clerk, back with cash and prizes totalling $31,400, welcome back Matt Ringgenberg! (applause) Lynn: Gentlemen, good evening and good luck! We should also mention Matt is back with one half of a big $25,000 check. If he returns to the Gambit Board this evening, uncovers the other half, and beats the house, he'll add another $25,000 in cash to his total, but that will seem like mere chicken feed I imagine if you win the million Matt! Matt you've had two very precarious matches in a row, the first one had a marathon game 2, the one last night you won in another tie breaker game by winning with a little itty bitty 3, because your opponent ended up keeping an even smaller deuce! Are you raring to go for another match win and your third trip to the Gambit Board, and a shot at a new Cadillac plus over $1,000,000 in cash?

In all my years of high school I could never get a girl to say "Yes" to me. Maybe if I had a Cadillac and over $1,000,000 in cash to give away! Matt, good luck as you go for win number 3 tonight, going up against a new challenger, Mark Liotta! (applause) Mark, high school was 30 years ago for me, back before I think black light theatre may have even existed. Can you shed some light on the subject? Pun intended

How black light theatre works is that you wear black socks, pants and sweatshirts. You also have a hood over your head but with a small visor so that you can see what you're doing. It's really a whole lot of fun.

You just described my wedding night Mark! (chuckles in the audience) It sounds like a great deal of fun indeed, and quite entertaining, and here's hoping you'll find our game to be too! Lynn has a brand new deck of freshly shuffled playing cards. We use a standard 52 card deck for each match, and we ask the challenger to cut the cards. Mark, please select a number higher than 0 but lower than 52. This will represent how deeply into the deck the cards will be cut. And while we await Mark to cut the cards, I'll remind our players that the winner of the first game of this best two out of three game match will get to play a special mini-bonus game called "Beat the Dealer", where you can win some bonus money. In addition to that, to the winner of game 1 of the match will also go this nice prize, and here's Frank Caliendo to tell you all about it, Frank? picosong.com/9LQ9/Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): It's a Camcorder… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): The HCV-770 full HD camcorder, can be interfaced with your smartphone to give you two camera angles at once. Features an optical zoom lens as well as the ability to film in slow motion, from Panasonic… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Retail value, $550 (APPLAUSE)

The contestant who winds up being closer to 21 at the end of the game will receive $50 per point, with a house minimum guarantee of $500. Should either contestant hit 21 exactly, they win the game at that moment, and also win a jackpot. Now this thing hasn't been hit in quite a while, and I'd LOVE to see it hit tonight! We start it at $1,000 and it grows by $250 per game not won. Tonight, a twenty-one in ANY combination will win you an additional cash jackpot of... (CLANG) $2,750! (applause) And if either player gets to 21 with just TWO cards.... (CLANG CLANG) We'll pay DOUBLE, or $5,500!!! (applause) We start each of the first two games of our match by showing you the first card up for grabs. Lynn, please show us that card... A deuce of Diamonds. Our players have buttons in front of them that they will hit after hearing a question. Those buttons will stop randomly flashing dice. The contestant whose roller is higher is required to answer the question within 48 hours from the time they are acknowledged. A correct answer players will score you $100 and control of the card. Either an incorrect answer or a missed deadline will result in your opponent winning $100 and gaining control of the card. Here now is question numero uno of tonight's match. Good luck to you both! WHICH OF THE EARTH'S SEVEN CONTINENTS IS LOCATED FURTHEST SOUTH? picosong.com/g3fZ/Matt, you have the larger roll. Please provide your answer within 48 hours, and also indicate if you wish to keep the 2 or pass it to Mark.

Correct for $100! Mark, a deuce coming your way, welcome to the game! Here's a "Blockbusters" style question for you next gentlemen... WHAT "M" IS ANOTHER NAME FOR A WEATHERMAN? picosong.com/g3fZ/Mark the dice dictate this time that this is your question to answer. For $100 and control of the next card, what is your answer? Also please indicate if you wish to keep the next card to add to your hand, or if you'd prefer to give it away to Matt.

You are right! (applause) A C-note for you, plus this next card, Lynn? (murmuring in the audience) Mark, if we were still playing my old game "Split Decision", having a 2 and a King would be an enviable hand. However here on Gambit, you now run the risk of going over 21 possibly. As such, if you wish, you can elect to freeze right now. This would force Matt to come up with at least 2 correct answers to beat your 12. If you elect not to freeze, you will not be given the option to freeze again until you receive another card, and that card would have to either put you in the lead, or keep you in the lead. Mark, do you wish to freeze or continue the game?

Keeping this next card. If it is a 10 or another face card Mark, Matt will take game 1 of this match. Lynn, turn it over please... TWENTY-ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! picosong.com/4U4j/OOOOOOHH BOY!!!!!! Was that a long time coming?!?!?! Mark, a hearty congratulations to you young man. $1,050 for the 21 plus the Any 21 Jackpot which you just now won as well, so another $2,750 in cash for that, plus the camcorder...for just one game of Gambit, Mark has already won... Four-thousand five-hundred fifty dollars in cash and prizes!!! (cheers & applause) And you have Matt to thank, at least in part for that win as he gave you that deuce to start things off. Well friends, we're going to take a quick time out, then it will be Mark to play one hand of Blackjack against Lynn for a possible $2,500 payoff. Beat the Dealer is next, stay tuned folks, we've just got started!!!

I thank you, and my thank yous thank you too! Well it's that time once again, time for our mini-bonus game "Beat the Dealer". Our challenger Mark Liotta will be playing it this evening, and tonight, if he draws a winning hand, he will win the Beat the Dealer jackpot worth... (CLANG) Two-thousand five-hundred dollars! Lynn is going to present you with two things Mark, the first is this Power Marker. When you win game 1 or game 2 of our match, you get a Power Marker. You can use it to discard a card that would put you over 21. Second Mark, we've made a slight rule change here. The deck that we used during game 1 of our match is temporary set aside, and we now have a brand NEW deck of 52 cards all shuffled and sealed. Lynn, please break the seal on that deck and present it to Mark to cut. Mark select a number higher than 0 but lower than 52 to represent how deeply into the deck you wish the cards to be cut.

Very good, now that the cards are cut, let me explain that you are about to play one hand of Blackjack against our lovely dealer Lynn. Lynn will begin dealing you cards to form your hand. Once you reach a score of twelve or higher, I will ask you if you wish to freeze or continue. If you continue and the next card you draw puts you over 21, Lynn will take your Power Marker back, discard the card, and deal you another. Should that card put you over 21, you lose, however should the next card you draw gives you exactly 21, then you will win the Beat the Dealer jackpot worth $2,500. If the jackpot is not won, we will add $500 to it for our next program. Once you freeze, Lynn will begin to draw cards to form her hand. Lynn must hit on any hand totaling 16 and below. Lynn must freeze on any hand totaling 17 and above. In the event you and Lynn should tie, you won't win the jackpot, but you will still receive one-thousand dollars, and the jackpot will still grow by $500 for our next program. Here we go Lynn, start dealing up Mark's hand please...first card... Those deuces seem to like you Mark. Next card please Lynn... A 5 of Diamonds, brings your score to 7. Next card please Lynn... And now a 6 of Hearts. Mark at this point you have 13, you can freeze if you wish or continue playing. Keep in mind again if the next card you draw puts you over, you still have the Power Marker. What do you want to do?
