Well, as you know, I am from western Kentucky and am an IT support tech. I enjoy 80s music and TV shows, Dallas being my favorite; and playing the piano, as well. And, this past weekend, my wife and I went to the Wheelmobile stop in Forsythe, IL. She made it on stage, I did not. But, here's hoping they randomly draw one of the three applications I entered! Fingers crossed!

Good luck to you, Dylan. Before we start the game, we'll take a short break. When our show resumes, we'll begin the first round and, already, we have a very huge pot in our Any 21 Jackpot. We'll find out how much when the first round of Gambit returns in just a couple of minutes. Stick around, folks... [CLOSING THEME][CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]*fade to commercial*

*back to studio* [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Welcome back to Gambit. Both of our players have already known the rules so let's take a look at the big money board. [CLANG]Whoever gets a combination of at least 3 cards that add up to 21, wins the Any 21 Jackpot worth $8,500. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]And whoever gets an Ace and either a 10 or face card wins the Blackjack Bonus worth $10,000. [MORE CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]The guys at Tandem Technologies, a RANDOM.ORG company, have given our guest dealer Paige a deck of 54 ultra-sized playing cards that were shuffled, cut, and sealed. She's now breaking the seal, no sweat, and will reveal the first card as we begin round 1. Paige...? Paige: First card for these two contenders is a 9. Tony: Each correct answer is $100 and whoever is closer to 21 wins an additional $500. Good luck to both of you... here comes this question. “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”, “Where The Streets Have No Name”, or “Zooropa”-- In the motion picture “Let It Be,” the Beatles played on a rooftop. U2 used this same idea when they filmed what video?*You have 24 hours to PM your buzz-code between 1 and 100.

Matt is passing on the question. Dylan, do you have the answer...?

WHERE THE STREETS HAVE NO NAME
Post by tmann3x on Jun 14, 2015 23:50:41 GMT -5
Where The Streets Have No Name is correct. [APPLAUSE, DING]You have $100 and a decision. Do you want to keep the 9 or pass it to Matt?
Post by wheellover1991 on Jun 15, 2015 8:20:55 GMT -5
Ooh. Um, let's pass it.

Post by tmann3x on Jun 17, 2015 16:14:41 GMT -5
The champ is passing the nine to Matt. Paige won't reveal the next card unless someone answers this next question. Anyang, Beijing, or Xianyang-- What was the capital of the Qin dynasty and the first seat of imperial China?

Post by tmann3x on Jun 18, 2015 11:08:42 GMT -5
Buzz-code answer: 50 1st: DYLAN (58) 2nd: MATT (24) [BUZZ-IN]Dylan...?

Post by wheellover1991 on Jun 18, 2015 19:52:51 GMT -5
That would be Xingyang.
Post by tmann3x on Jun 20, 2015 1:19:05 GMT -5
Correct again. [APPLAUSE, DING]Dylan... do you want to keep the card or pass it to Matt?

Post by wheellover1991 on Jun 20, 2015 10:17:56 GMT -5
Let's keep it!

Post by tmann3x on Jun 21, 2015 10:55:19 GMT -5
Paige... please reveal Dylan's first card. Paige: Sorry, love... but you have a 5. [AUDIENCE GROANS...]Tony: The Blackjack Bonus is now out of play. So that means we'll add more to that later in round 2. Let's resume the first round with our next question. 1979, 1983, or 1988-- In what year was Sterling Marlin named NASCAR rookie of the year?
Post by tmann3x on Jun 22, 2015 10:32:41 GMT -5
Since Matt is passing on the question... Dylan, do you have an answer?
Post by wheellover1991 on Jun 22, 2015 19:32:54 GMT -5
If I got the wrong, my dad would get me. 1983
Post by tmann3x on Jun 23, 2015 8:37:57 GMT -5
Good news... you're safe. 1983 is the right answer. [APPLAUSE, DING]You need either another 5 or 6 for either a 10 or 11, Dylan. Do you want to keep the card or pass it to Matt?
Post by wheellover1991 on Jun 23, 2015 12:21:23 GMT -5
I'll keep it.
Post by tmann3x on Jun 23, 2015 23:37:39 GMT -5
Paige, please reveal Dylan's next card. Paige: Dylan's next card is a 9. Tony: You now have a total of 14. Before I read the next question, you have a decision. Do you want to continue the round or freeze?
Post by wheellover1991 on Jun 24, 2015 10:49:08 GMT -5
Kind of a tough number. I'm going to play it safe and freeze.
Post by tmann3x on Jun 24, 2015 19:12:38 GMT -5
Paige is now placing the freeze marker on Dylan's 14. Matt... you need at least 15 to win the first game of the match. You must answer each and every question right in order to stay in the round. If at any event your answer is incorrect, Dylan wins the round and $500. Here is your next question... Alexander Rutherford, Clarence Rutherford, or Terrence Rutherford-- What was Lumpy's full name in the sitcom "Leave It to Beaver"?
Post by mringgenberg on Jun 24, 2015 21:03:48 GMT -5
Clarence Rutherford
Post by tmann3x on Jun 25, 2015 18:36:52 GMT -5
Clarence Rutherford is correct. [APPLAUSE, DING]$100 for you. Right now, you need at least a 6 to win the first round. Paige... please reveal Matt's next card. *Paige reveals card* Paige: It's a 10. Tony: Matt wins round 1 and $500! [WINNING BELL SOUNDS, WIN CUE, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]At the end of round 1, our challenger Matt has won the game and a cash total of $600 while our champion Dylan has only $300. Coming up after the break, we'll be playing round 2. The 21 bonus pot continues to grow, but we'll find out who wins the pot (and see if Dylan could even up the score) when Gambit returns in just a moment. Stick around, folks...
