I was very saddened and shocked to learn the news of Chuck's passing, just a few weeks shy of Wheel's 50th anniversary.
I do hope the powers that be at Sony will have some kind of nice tribute to him when the anniversary of the 50th year rolls around on Jan 6th 2025.
Chuck often put me in mind of Bill Cullen, very easy going host, never took himself too seriously, was able to laugh at himself and laugh with others without ever laughing AT others.
Whenever I think of word games, Chuck's the first person to spring to mind, from Wheel to Scrabble to Lingo.
Deepest condolences to all of his family, friends and fans of which there are still MANY (including me).
While there's never an ideal time for a loved one to pass away, having it happen this close to the holidays makes it an extra strong hammer to the heart.
