We are back for more Dice Battles! George Cluster is battling Nels Snesrud on our show today and at the moment, it's George with the upper hand and he could win it with three different rolls of the dice. Things can change quickly though, so let's see how this plays out, starting with our next mini-game.

S in the middle of the across word and starting the down word. Clues are:
ACROSS: Donkey DOWN: Partial rock band performance

Correct for another hundred dollars! (audience applauds) (ding)
That puts you to three hundred dollars, but more importantly, gives you control of the dice to perhaps stop George's momentum a bit here.
Let's see if you can't put an O on the number 2, 6 or 11! Roll when ready please Nels.

Oh my, of all the numbers up there, you've rolled the one that you already occupy unfortunately. So that simply ends your turn Nels.
Let's move on to the next mini-game.

It's a W this time. Clues are:
ACROSS: Type of humor DOWN: Horror movie series
Nels just beats out George to the buzzer. Nels?

It's a six and George wins the game!! (audience cheers and applauds)
George, as it turns out, those numbers of 6, 7 and 8 were the first three numbers you picked when we first setup the board and those ended up being the winners for you! Congratulations, you're our first champion, you've picked up an extra thousand dollars for the win and now you're going to try for $10,000 more on our Bonus Board! How's that sound?

Nels, the dice rolls weren't too kind to you, but you've got $300 which might turn into $1,300 because you are also going to our Bonus Board for a shot at a consolation of a thousand dollars, how does that sound?

We are back for more Dice Battles!
It is time for our Bonus Board where our champion George has a chance at $10,000 and our runner-up Nels is trying for $1,000.
The game is essentially the same except there are no questions and George, you will be doing all the dice rolling. This time however, rolling the number of an occupied square immediately changes it to the opposing player's letter. Also this time, rolling one of the two numbers not on the board is a strike. If you roll three strikes, the game ends and neither of you wins anything. If you flip enough Xs into Os to form a Tic-Tac-Toe with Os, Nels wins a thousand dollars. If you can roll a Tic-Tac-Toe with Xs, you win ten thousand dollars George! (audience applauds)
We're going to give you a limit of 15 rolls to do this in George.
(ding)
As we did in the main game, we begin by setting up the board.
George, please give me three numbers between 2 and 12 and also tell me where you want them on the board.

You can't roll a 1 with two dice Nels. It's numbers between 2 and 12 please, so try again.

3, 4, and 11.

(ding...ding...ding)
Very well, so what this means is, the numbers 5 and 10 are strikes. If you roll either of those a total of three times George, the game is over. You now have 15 rolls to complete a Tic-Tac-Toe for either yourself or for Nels. We can also have a winner by completely filling the board with Xs and Os, in which case whoever has the most on the board wins.
Good luck George! As before, you roll two dice at a time. Let's have your first roll of the Bonus Board please.

That was a number you didn't want to roll. That immediately flips your X to an O for Nels and once flipped, that square is now frozen, so rolling a 6 from now on will simply be a wasted roll because that square now belongs to Nels.
For your next roll, ideally you want either a 2 or a 3 to setup a diagonal Tic-Tac-Toe or a 4 or 9 to setup a vertical one.
Let's have your next roll please George.
