Nels rolls a nine, so he now occupies the lower middle square!
(ding) (audience applauds)
So now Nels, if you were to roll another nine, that would simply be the end of your turn, however a nine from George would remove that O from the board!
Here's our next Across Down mini-game.
(ding)
It's a C this time, using the top row and middle column. The clues are:
ACROSS: What actors do. DOWN: Feline.
That's George's buzzer. George?

You now have some cash on the board as well!
(ding)
Now, let's see if you can either put an X up there somewhere or take away the O that Nels has there.
Roll those dice please, George.

Oh, you've rolled an eight again George and you already control that square, so that simply ends your turn in this case.
Nels is still in it, let's see if he can buzz in first this time on this mini-game.
(ding)
It's an X this time, in the middle for the across word and at the end for the down word. The clues are:
ACROSS: Brand of men's grooming products DOWN: Medium-sized omnivorous mammal
It is Nels who rings in first. Nels?

(audience applauds) (ding)
Those snake eyes are still the hot roll at the moment. If you can roll them Nels, you'll not only block George, but then set yourself up to win with a 5.
Your roll Nels, good luck!

Well, it's a six so you've blocked one of George's paths at least.
(ding)
It's no help for you to form a Tic-Tac-Toe though Nels and that number 2 still looms. Here's the next mini-game.
(ding)
Both words have an S in the middle this time. The clues are:
ACROSS: Snake DOWN: Inquire

My goodness what a great roll that was George! Not only did you block two out of the three possible paths that Nels could have used, but now you can win the game by rolling either a two or an eleven! Of course, Nels could still do it with a lucky seven and eleven.
On we go with our next mini-game.
It's a N. The clues are:
ACROSS: Small country lodging DOWN: Opposite of later
George buzzes in!

Well, it wasn't a game-winning roll George, but another blow dealt to Nels as you've removed one of his Os by rolling a six. Now, if you were to roll another six on your next turn at the dice, that would set up three ways for you to win!
Here's the next mini-game.
(ding)
We have a U this time. The clues are:
ACROSS: Guidance system DOWN: America abbreviation
Oh, it's Nels just beating George to the buzzer that time! Nels?

No, we were looking for the acronym HUD for the across word, which stands for Heads-up Display, which stems from a pilot being able to view information with the head positioned "up" and looking forward, instead of angled down looking at lower instruments.
George, this could be a game-winning break for you. Roll a pair of ones or a six and a five now and you are the winner!

Once again, it wasn't a game-winner, but it's another great roll and now George, you can win with three different rolls of the dice!
(theme plays as audience begins continuous applause)
Nels is on the ropes at the moment in this game, but a few rolls in his favor could turn this whole thing around. George meanwhile is now a roll of either 2, 6 or 11 away from becoming our first champion! We'll continue this exciting game after a few brief messages from our sponsors. More Dice Battles a-comin' up!
(continued theme and applause; fade to black)
