Wheel of Fortune (NBC, Daytime) Episode 6 (Sign-Ups)

We're here to start a new week of shows! Bill McDee is returning with a two-day total of $7,550! While we wait for him to check in and also wait for two opponents, I'll share a list of the changes coming for this week (and for the series in general, too)...

This Week:
-Susan Stafford is our hostess! (Vanna will return next week and then they'll alternate every week)
-$100 is now the minimum on the wheel.
-With the above change, the house minimum for solving a puzzle is now $200.
-Speed-up rules are slightly modified. Borrowing an idea from Koopakid17's WOF Daytime Seasons, after a certain number of turns in the speed-up round, players will be able to start calling for vowels. (The final spin spiel about not calling vowels won't change though). 

Other/General Changes:
-Amazon.com won't always be the provider of the gift certificates, I'll start trying to change it every week or so, starting next week. 
-Game Length: When I originally planned this series out, I planned for some games to end after 3 rounds with no speed-up. However, after thinking a while about it, I didn't like that idea, even if that's what happened a lot on the show during this time period. So, what's happening is that the only way a game can end after three rounds is if there's a speed-up during it. If round three goes without a speed-up then there will be a fourth round played (which may or may not have a speed-up).

I think that's everything   If it turns out that I forgot something, I'll be sure to list it as the game goes on. Anyway, we need Bill to check in and two challengers for him!  (Nels and David, please wait 24 hours before signing up again.)

As we give a courtesy bump for Bill and wish him the best with a speedy recovery of the recent events of his (per the post in the vacation thread a week or so ago), I wanted to take this time to mention two changes that I forgot...

Playing Order: Instead of using random.org to determine the playing order of the contestants, I will now use a wheel spinning app called "Spin The Wheel". On that wheel, I will place the names of the three players into it. Each name will get 4 wedges that are equally spread out. Whatever name the wheel lands on first will be at the red podium. After the first player is chosen, the wedges with their names will be removed from the wheel and then the wheel will be spun again, with the next chosen name being at the yellow podium, and then whoever is left, will be put at the blue podium.  

Wheel Spins: Much like with the above change, instead of using random.org, I will now use the same wheel spinning app (aka Spin The Wheel). On that app, I have recreated all of the Chuck Woolery era wheels to use for this series. Every time a contestant spins, I will set the "spin time" of the wheel to the max, which is 7x and then tap the center of the wheel to spin it.

(Note: These two changes might not be permanent, I want to try this out for at least one or two episodes before deciding.)
