I had a feeling it was another 9!
Hard to say, some single mothers perhaps are still hoping to find "the one", others may feel scorned by the fathers of their children no longer being in the picture...
That said, I'll say 57 are still hoping to find "the one".

I’ll say higher

57 single mothers are still in search of "the one" according to Bill. [57][__][__]
*ding* Nels believes that number is higher. [57][__][HI]
*ding* Actual number of single mothers who told us they're still looking for "the one" is... [57][48][HI]
*dingdingding* 48 of them; not higher, it was lower. Around the same ballpark. It's good that almost half would like that other parental figure in their kids' lives. ———————————————|BILL [2 ♣][K ♣][3 ♦][9 ♥][C*S] NELS [3 ♠][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] This means Bill assumes control once more. Play or change your nine?

Definitely change it out please Kevin.

Getting rid of that nine. You'll instead play off... ———————————————|BILL [2 ♣][K ♣][3 ♦][10♦][C*S] NELS [3 ♠][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] A ten. Gotta play off this.

Lower (still lower if a Joker turns up)

If it's lower than the ten, you have Round and $500... ———————————————|BILL [2 ♣][K ♣][3 ♦][10♦][2 ♥] NELS [3 ♠][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] Yes! *'86 CS Win Cue* Bill's all smiles as he's halfway to another Money Cards berth. Nels, time to play catch up as we clear the board.
BILL [C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] NELS [C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] Round 2 starts with a fresh set of cards and this high-low question. Our man on the street went to New York City. He scoured the parks for 100 panhandlers and asked them this question:
"Can I buy you lunch?"
How many panhandlers accepted lunch from our man on the street, Nels?

I've had very little interaction with panhandlers, maybe once or twice in my life...I think they are wanting the money itself more than an actual free lunch so I think based on that, it may be a bit lower than 80 Kevin.

80 panhandlers accepted lunch from our man on the street.
[__][__][80]
*ding* Bill says lower. [LO][__][80]
*ding* Had that experience at a Burger King once of all places. Needless to say, I haven't been back there. Actual number of panhandlers in New York City who said yes to a lunch from our man on the street is...
[LO][53][80]
*dingdingding* 53; it was indeed lower. Bill has a point. They're not looking for food as they're looking for spare change.
BILL [C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] NELS [C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S]
Bill, you're now looking to put the game away. Your quest starts with:
BILL [3 ♠][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] NELS [C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] A three!

Higher than a three...
BILL [3 ♠][8 ♣][C*S][C*S][C*S] NELS [C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] *ding*
An eight.

Can do.
—————|BILL [3 ♠][8 ♣][C*S][C*S][C*S] NELS [C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] Bill will rest after the middle card comes up. This is our next question. Here's an Educated Guess question:
"The Kentucky Derby has been held annually since 1875. Of its 150 winners as of 2024, how many of them were fillies?"
Bill, your guess, please?

|
|
Post by billmcdee on Sept 27, 2024 19:05:47 GMT -5
I'm thinking that will be a pretty low amount, I will say 24.

Post by koopakid17 on Sept 27, 2024 19:18:40 GMT -5
Bill says 24 out of 150 Kentucky Derby winners were fillies.
[24][__][__]
*ding* Nels, higher or lower?

Higher than 24. [24][__][HI]
*ding* Of the 150 winners of the Kentucky Derby...
[24][ 3][HI]
*dingdingding* ...three of them were fillies. They were Regret in 1913, Genuine Risk in 1980 and Winning Colors in 1988. —————|BILL [3 ♠][8 ♣][C*S][C*S][C*S] NELS [C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] Bill, we're back to you with your eight.

The eight goes into the incinerator, and you now play off...
—————|BILL [3 ♠][Q ♦][C*S][C*S][C*S] NELS [C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] A Queen!

Lower than the Queen?
—————|BILL [3 ♠][Q ♦][K ♠][C*S][C*S] NELS [C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] No. *buzzer* Got the colt instead. It's not lower, so we'll put that into the stable. —————|BILL [3 ♠][Q ♦][___][C*S][C*S] NELS [C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] This means Nels gets his chance to shine.
—————|BILL [3 ♠][Q ♦][___][C*S][C*S] NELS [6 ♠][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] You have a six. What's your call?

Risking it and going against the odds. Is it higher? —————|BILL [3 ♠][Q ♦][___][C*S][C*S] NELS [6 ♠][9 ♥][5 ♠][C*S][C*S] A five. *buzzer* You knew what you had to do, but it didn't work out. You go back to your base card.
—————|BILL [3 ♠][Q ♦][___][C*S][C*S] NELS [6 ♠][___][___][C*S][C*S]
We go to another high-low question. For this one, we talked to 100 people skateboard as a hobby. We asked them:
"Have you ever broken a bone?"
How many skateboarders said they have never broken a bone, Nels?

Nels says exactly half of the skateboarding hobbyists we surveyed have never broken a bone. [__][__][50]
*ding* Bill says that number is lower.
[LO][__][50]
*ding* Actual number of them who told us they have never broken a bone is...
[LO][36][50]
*dingdingding* 36 of them. It was lower, but not by much. I bet if they do it more seriously, that number would be much lower. Then again, they all can't be Evel Knievel. —————|BILL [3 ♠][Q ♦][C*S][C*S][C*S] NELS [6 ♠][C*S][C*S][C*S][C*S] Bill, you have continued control off your Queen.
