All right, we're ready to go. All deadlines are 48 hours and away we go. (cue intro) Rich: And now, a game of high stakes. Where every decision is a gamble and every move could be your last. High Rollers! (1987 theme) And here's the man with all the action, Mark Liotta! (I come out to a tremendous applause from the audience) Me: Thank you! Thank you, Rich. (Theme fades out) Welcome again to our show, ladies and gentlemen. We've had an exciting week so far here on High Rollers because our champion has accumulated a lot of money during his stay with us to this point. He wants to win more today, I'm sure, but his opponent might have something to say about that. Rich, will you introduce us to our champion and his challenger for us please? Rich: I certainly will. Our returning champion has worked as a supermarket clerk for several years and is also involved with Special Olympics. Please welcome back Matt Riggenberg. Matt has a two day total of $53,465. And his challenger today is James Greek. Me: It's a pleasure having you back again, James. Now folks, you will recall that in James' previous appearances on our program, Rich had introduced him as a live in caregiver. Well that is no longer the case because we found out that James' grandmother passed away not too long ago. Has the funeral for your grandmother taken place yet, James?

I see. Well James, all of us here at High Rollers give you and your family our sincere condolences. I've lost a few family members during my lifetime myself, so I know how you feel. All right, let's go to work and get into this first game. Rich, what prizes are they playing for in our first game today? Rich: In column one, we have a new motorcycle! This V-Star custom motorcycle from Yamaha comes with 650cc air-cooled engine and five speed transmission. Retail value: $6,990. Me: How about for column two? Rich: In column two, a smartphone. This 4G phone includes 1080P display, gesture recognition and calling plan. Retail value: $2,019. Me: Very handy for when you're on the go. What's in that third and final column, Rich? Rich: In column three, a lawn & garden package. This six piece collection from Worx includes mower, jaw saw and more. Retail value: $1,250. This makes the entire board worth $10,259 in this first game. Me: Well, this is certainly one of the cheaper boards we've had this season in terms of total prize value. Hopefully we can still give some of those away. Let's see what the hot column is for our first round.
5 9 4 3 8 6 2 1 7
And the hot column is column one. Knock out all three numbers there and you could take home that motorcycle. All right players, here's our first question of the day. For this one, we will test your knowledge of daytime television. On the ABC soap opera General Hospital, who plays the role of Sonny Corinthos?

Been playing the role since 1993, you're right. Okay James, pick up those dice and roll away.

The 9 and the 1

We'll take away the 9 and the 1.
5 X 4 3 8 6 2 X 7
And we will go to another question. What band was founded in 1978 by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi?

We'll take the 3 and 8 off.
5 X 4 X X 6 2 X 7 And with that, we have cleared out column two. And what that means for you, Matt, is that you'll be the owner of a smartphone if you win this game. Here comes another question for both of you. What famous American was the first deafblind person to earn a bachelor of arts degree?

She's the one. Now Matt, the only bad number we have right now is a 3. You can roll the dice if you want, or you can pass them to James. What do you want to do?

(doubles sfx) There's a double! And that means an insurance marker for you. (I hand Matt a marker) That can come in handy if you roll a bad number. Now, the only way we can get rid of the 8 is with the six and the two.
5 X 4 X X X X X 7
One number away from that motorcycle as we go to our next question. What 1984 film involves a man receiving a pet mogwai?

That's the film. Okay Matt, we still have 4,5,7,9,11 and 12 as good rolls. Keep in mind that you have an insurance marker with you. Roll or pass?

It's a seven! Let's take the 7 off the board.
5 X 4 X X X X X X
Coming down to the wire here as we play on with this next question. For this one, I will give you a line from a poem. One word will be missing, however. You must fill in that blank with the missing word. Listen carefully, players.
And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the (blank)

No. The word we needed was undergrowth. Matt, there are only three numbers left that you can safely roll. Those numbers are 4,5 and 9. You also have that insurance marker. Roll or pass?
