Friday August 9th until???

I'll be checking in on here this morning and from work until noon.

I am probably going to leave work at noon today before more flooding rains and wind arrive.

According to weather.com wind and tornadoes are the biggest threat.

My son and wife will both be home today so we may need to temporarily evacuate to a sturdier place.

Also due to the saturated grounds and winds, we more than likely are going to lose power here too and who knows when it might be restored.

Hopefully none of this will happen but I always like to feel as prepared as I can so if I suddenly am not on here for a few days, the above is most likely the reasons why.

All seems to be well here friends.

No loss of life or property, the power stayed on, the only mini-casualty was the pilot light in our hot water heater blew out.

With my son's help I was able to get that sucker relit this a.m.

Thanks all for your friendship, loyalty, caring, support and for still allowing me a place to escape from the often harsh and frightening realities of daily life for some fun and amusement.
