I want to thank those of you who have participated in playing the game as well as to all who took part in the poll question I posted.
It seems most of you liked the $50, $75, $100, $125, $150 question values vs playing for points, and I tend to agree with that.
To make the game a bit more fair to all playing, I am implementing the following rule changes for episode 3.
First, as in episode 1, the player who scores the most money after five questions will get to go to the matching board.
As before, if two players are tied for the lead, the player with the low money score will get to choose which player goes to the matching board.
If one player has a score that neither of the other two players can tie or surpass, the question round will end at that moment and the winning player will play the matching board.
All players will now go to the matching board with 200 points to spend.
There will always be a bonus card on the category board that says "ONE FREE BOX". If the category played is hiding that bonus card, then the player who goes to the matching board will have 200 points to use up and then will get to use the one free box if needed.
Also on the matching board, in addition to the one "NO MATCH" card, one of the other boxes will house a "DOUBLE DOLLARS" card. If that card is revealed, the player will win double the dollar value attached to their winning box selection should they achieve Three on a Match. That DOUBLE DOLLARS bonus card is there in place of a picture and points will be deducted if and when that bonus card is revealed on the matching board.
To give an example using the outer space themed matching board:
20 point column might have: MOON, STAR, SATURN, COMET
30 point column might have: MOON, STAR, NO MATCH, COMET
40 point column might have: MOON, STAR, DOUBLE DOLLARS, COMET
