All right! It's finally time for Episode 14 of Press Your Luck in the year of 2024, and also the 6th season of Press Your Luck on ABC! And we've got some new features that we have in store for you, and trust me, you are NOT going to be disappointed! Of course, we need some refreshing recap notes. 1. Michael Koontz, aka larsonfan1, a superfan of Michael Larson, the one who 'broke' the Big Board on Press Your Luck all the way back from 1984, is our current champion with $128,013 in cash and prizes. 2. The Whammy's Bank is now at $1,078,109. 3. If you haven't seen our last episode, which celebrated Press Your Luck's 40th Anniversary, you should go check it out now.4. Now, to Kevin (koopakid17) and George (bighornbattle), you two have played from the last episode, so you two must sit on your hands and let someone else play. To anyone else is fair game! Sign up to challenge our champion and the Whammy! The show will start on Thursday, July 18th!

Ah, so you got one more year to go in High School! Well, best of luck on that, but take your time on to spend the rest of your summer vacation, and I'm glad that you're spending part of that here on Press Your Luck, so good luck to you. And last, but not least, is our returning champion, a superfan of the late Michael Larson back in 1984, who managed to break the Big Board at the time and broke the bank, larsonfan1, aka Michael Koontz, with $128,013 in cash and prizes! (Audience Cheers and Applause)Michael, welcome back! Remind the folks out there about yourself, and what are you going to do with all of that money.

Well, maybe you can put some of that money towards your college education or your student loans as a start, but hey. You could win more if you become tonight's champion again, and think of bigger things for your future, but of course, Nels and Danny will do whatever it takes to dethrone you. With that being said, audience, let's wish these 3 players the very best of luck! (Audience Cheers and Applause)Now that we've met our players, there's one more thing that I want you all to meet, and that's our big star of the show: the famous Big Board! (Play the Big Board spinning loop at 10:25) As the board spins, let me tell you how the game works. This game is played in two rounds, in which they each consist of two halves: The Question Round and the Big Board Round. First, I'll be asking a series of four questions, and if necessary, the "Big Spin Bonus" question in the first half of the round, and I hope you give me some good answers. The first player who can get the closest to my Magic Number between 1-100 will get to buzz in and answer the question. And then, that answer becomes one of three choices for the remaining 2 players. A correct buzz-in answer will give you 3 spins, and a correct multiple-choice answer will earn you 1 spin. Should we get less than 20 spins (aka A Perfect Question Round) after the 4 questions, the "Big Spin Bonus" question will be asked, which is a Multiple-Answer question, and only one of you will have a chance to buzz-in, and give me the number of correct answers. If you can successfully do that, then you'll head to our special "Spin Board" for a chance to pick up even more spins. However, if you cannot give me enough correct answers to that question, then your opponents will automatically get 2 spins. The more spins you have, the more money you could make (or break) at the second half of the round: The Big Board. And the Big Board itself is now computerized and it's filled with hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and prizes. And anytime you stop the board like this.... STOP! $2500 | $1250 | $3000 or Lose 1 Whammy | $10,000 + One Spin | Whammy | $750 + One Spin | $500 + One Spin | P | R | E | SS | $500 | $1000 + One Spin | Y | O | U | R | $1500 + One Spin | $5000 or Lose 1 Whammy | L | U | C | K | $1500 | | $3500 | 3 Spins | Whammy | $4000 or Lose 1 Whammy | Double Your $$ + One Spin |
Hey there! I've doubled my money, which takes me up to an even $15,000! That's a great square to hit in the event that you need to catch up or pad your lead even further. However players, you do have to be careful of the dreaded Whammy. If you land on him, and he will take away all of the cash and prizes that you have earned up to that point, and if you get 4 of those, you WILL be sorry, because you'll be knocked out of the game. Now, the player at the end of the game that's earned the most money is our champion, and will also earn the right to play the Big Bonus Board for hundreds of thousands of dollars in cold hard cash, AND the right to come back and do it all over again.

Now, if you're ready to Press Your Luck, we're going to get started by giving you all a chance to earn some spins to use at our Big Board, and to earn those spins, you have to answer some questions that I have here. And believe it or not, since we're in July, we're going to do Christmas in July for this first round of questions! And what I have in my hand is the first question of the night. Good luck to all 3 of you. Question #1: There are a lot of places in Europe that boast all year-round skiing. One such resort can be found at Hintertux, in which European country? Now PM me your buzzcodes 1-100. The player who's closest to the Magic Number will get to answer.

The first channel to introduce Christmas movies in July is none other than the Hallmark Channel! HALLMARK CHANNEL FOX MOVIE CHANNEL TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES(Audience Applause)Hallmark promoted the screenings inviting people to "Enjoy some snow on the beach this Christmas in July". In 2014 the channel collaborated with Hallmark cards to produce the film "Northpole". Nels goes to 6, Danny goes to 2, and Michael goes to 2. (Ding) (Ding) (Ding)Doing perfectly good so far. Let's see if we can keep up that momentum with this next question. Question #3: The film "Rudolph and Frosty: Christmas in July" was a stop-motion animation style film that was released in 1979. Where was it filmed? PM me your buzzcodes now.
