Yeah, the rumors are true! If you watched this morning's episode of The Price is Right then well....you might've heard a name...a familiar name...one that resonates with NGC...
I was called, to Come on Down!
If you ever have the chance to go to The Price is Right...please do. Even if you don't get called you'll have a lot of fun.
First off...I originally wasn't even gonna be in the studio on that taping day. We were late to the initial taping because my class ran late, so we stayed for a later taping. My grandmother and I chatted with people all over the country as we waited in line and folks were telling us "oh they're gonna call him, he's gonna win!". Guess my exciting was showing
. Just being there is just oh so exciting.
Even waiting in the line to get my number I had a feeling, an anticipation that either me or my grandmother (that I had accompanied) would be called to Contestant's Row.
It was so loud in the studio I couldn't hear George calling my name, thank God for the cue card dude holding my name in the air, the poster of which I have mounted on my wall.
I'll tell you this though, it's harder than it looks. So much adrenaline and anticipation can cause you to not think straight. That happened to me, Safe Crackers was a doozie!
Also ironically enough, my aunt was on the show a mere 3 months ago and played the exact same game as me AND lost the Showcase Showdown, something I thought was rather interesting.
ALSO...didn't realize they tape a show out of order. The 6 "rounds" (pricing games and One Bid) are taped before the 2 showcase showdowns. You'll never notice on air however
And yes, I received my prizes, I won a vlogging kit which I do have now, and am still waiting for my phone to come in.
18 long years of waiting, hoping, playing, watching, and praying, and it paid off!
